Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: A New Life Begins

Aria

Unfortunately, the filming process came quickly, and I had to be busy with it, leaving me no time to see Caleb for the past few days.

Even this afternoon, Stacy's car was already parked in front of the Lennox family mansion, waiting to pick me up and take me to the filming location.

"Isn't there a filming schedule today?" I asked in surprise when I found Stacy in front of the house.

"Schedule change. There's not much time to explain, let's hurry." Stacy grabbed my shoulder and led me into her silver car.

It didn't take long for Stacy to drive out of the Lennox mansion's driveway. With her eyes still on the road ahead, Stacy handed me a stack of papers.

"This is the script for today's scene. I'm sorry you have to work suddenly," Stacy said with a soft sigh.

"Hmm, it's okay." I decided to read the script Stacy had given me.

That's when I realized that today would be quite difficult because I would be in a scene with Rhea. I hoped she wouldn't give me a hard time because of this.

. . .

The filming location was already bustling with activity when Stacy and I arrived. Stacy hurriedly took me to the dressing room, remembering that we were already late.

I don't know what happened, but I'm sure Stacy was told to pick me up at the last minute, which is why we were in this situation.

"Look how clueless a new actress like you is, making the seniors wait." A familiar voice mocked me.

And sure enough, there were several other supporting actresses in the dressing room, one of whom was Rhea, who was staring at me with a contemptuous look.

"If it weren't for waiting for her, we wouldn't have waited this long."

"Seniors really don't know their place."

Whispers from the other actresses began to be heard, influenced by Rhea's incitement. Even though it wasn't my intention to be late, I felt that I had to apologize in this situation, so I bowed my head and apologized to the actresses and staff there.

"Sorry for causing trouble, this won't happen again." Stacy and I apologized to the others.

When I glanced at Rhea, I saw her smirking happily as she watched me apologize to the others. It seemed that Rhea wasn't going to let me have a peaceful life during this filming process.

Fortunately, Stacy immediately pulled my arm away from the actresses and went to the other side of the room to get ready. Three staff members assisted me in changing clothes and applying my makeup for the scene that would be shot today.

While the staff was doing my makeup, I pulled Stacy's arm closer to me and whispered something to her.

"Buy something and share it with the crew and other actresses. And find out what happened that made them late in telling you." I whispered softly, making sure that only they could hear my voice.

"Okay, ma'am. But are you okay if I leave you alone?" Stacy looked worried about leaving me alone.

"What could happen to me when there are so many people here? Don't worry, I can handle things here," I replied with a soft chuckle, trying to calm Stacy down.

Stacy stared at me for a long time before finally nodding her head in understanding. After Stacy left to find out what was going on, the staff finished applying my makeup.

Shortly after, a loud voice came from the door, attracting the attention of everyone in the dressing room.

"The set is ready, it's time to shoot the scene!"

The staff member next to me helped me stand up and checked that my clothes were in order.

"Everything is fine, you can go. Remember not to get it dirty, it's a sponsor's outfit," the staff reminded me again.

I nodded several times before rushing out of the dressing room to prepare myself for the shoot.

However, someone bumped into my shoulder from behind and I almost fell forward, but luckily I was able to steady myself so I didn't fall.

When I turned around, Rhea and several other actresses were giggling as they watched me almost fall.

"Ouch, be careful when you walk, little sister," Rhea spoke softly, but anyone could hear the insult hidden behind her gentleness.

Rhea's friends walking beside her giggled as they passed me.

Not wanting to cause any more trouble, considering the other staff were already annoyed with me for being late, I just kept quiet and chose to forget what Rhea had done to me.

I preferred to hurry to the set that had been prepared and re-read my script. This time, I didn't want to make any more mistakes....

. . .

I shot scene after scene well, with only two or three minor retakes. Meanwhile, Rhea wasn't doing so well because the director wasn't happy with her acting and made her do several retakes.

"Cut!" The director shouted loudly, his face looking impatient, "Didn't I tell you to make your expressions clearer, Rhea! Take a 15-minute break!"

I glanced at Rhea, who looked unhappy. Her agent approached her and began to calm her emotions, which were about to explode.

I left the set and sat down in my seat while looking at my script. At that moment, I heard a voice. When I turned my head, I saw Stacy coming with cold drinks.

The two people Stacy brought immediately distributed the drinks to the entire crew and the actresses on set. Meanwhile, Stacy walked towards me with a cheerful face.

"A drink for you. How have you been while I was gone?" Stacy handed me the drink while asking about my condition.

"Just a minor problem. But, it looks like Rhea is going to do something to me, considering she made a lot of mistakes during the shoot," I explained, shrugging my shoulders indifferently.

"I'll make sure she doesn't cause you any more trouble." Stacy looked unhappy when I mentioned Rhea.

"So, what about the problem earlier? Do you know what happened?" I was certain that my lateness this afternoon was intentional, which is why you asked Stacy to investigate.

"That bitch really gives me a headache. She seems to be quite close to the assistant director; she incited him to make him late in contacting me." Stacy's voice sounded annoyed as she explained what she knew.

Even though Stacy didn't mention the name that framed me, I knew who she meant.

"Be careful from now on. Wait here, I want to go to the toilet first." I got up and walked away from the set.

Finally, I could breathe a sigh of relief when I got out of the stifling set. It had been a long time since I had worked on a set, so it took some getting used to when I returned.

The bathroom was quite far from the set, so I had to walk down the hallway to get there. The calm and peaceful atmosphere turned tense when I felt someone grab my arm from behind.

"I finally found you, Aria."

My body tensed when I heard the voice of the man I no longer wanted to hear from behind me.
