"Asuka time to rotate"
Asuka was woken up by Tsunade and assumed his task. He first went to the pond to wash his face to remove any ounce of drowsiness still in his eyes. He then stood guard with his alertness to the max.
While on lookout, Asuka pondered about how he could get stronger and he remembered what he read in the Senju Library a couple of months back.
In the shinobi world, there are things called kekkei genkai and even more advanced forms of kekkei genkai.
The Sharingan itself is a kekkei genkai from the Uchiha clan which gives them a considerable boost in ocular strength and it can evolve. The same thing goes for the Hyuga clan of Konoha with their Byakugan.
Those happened to be bloodline kekkei genkai that cannot be replicated.
There is also another type of kekkei genkai that can be fused with chakra natures to fuse new powerful bloodline powers that improve one's strength to the absolute peak if they are trained enough. While looking through them all he saw one that caught his eye, Storm release.
Storm release is a powerful kekkei genkai that uses the power of Water and lightning to make one's attack fast and deadly. Asuka himself has all 5 nature chakras so completing it should be possible but the difficulty is next to impossible without correct chakra control.
His eagerness to want to be stronger fast made him communicate his desire to Tsunade but she warned him not to start training it till he's away from the village and especially away from the watchful eyes of the "deadly trio" of Danzo, Hiruzen, and Orochimaru.
While he was thinking he heard a commotion to the west of their rest location. He wanted to check by himself but this isn't the "Naruto" stories he would read on his free time rather this is a real world where death could be at his front if he isn't careful.
Asuka slowly walked towards Tsunade and informed her of the situation before being advised to wake up Shizune so she could be prepared to leave the area in case of enemy attacks.
"Asuka stay here while I look at who is fighting"
"No Lady Tsunade, we're a team," he said as he pointed at Shizune " we go where you go and we retreat when you retreat"
"Alright but be silent and don't make unnecessary noise"
All three of them then walked towards the commotion and looked like they had just seen a ghost. In the distance, a Konoha "anbu" squad was just wiped out by a ninja with 5 masks on his body, black strings attached to each mask.
Tsunade wanted to attack the ninja but she would not put her disciples in danger against a ninja of unknown strength.
Asuka and Shizune felt a light tap on their back as Tsunade gestured them to move back slowly so they could head to the Konoha camp so she could find out what happened and why an anbu squad was stationed out during wartime.

As Tsunade reached the camp, she called for the temporary commander of the camp Nara Shikaku to head to her tent then sent her disciples out to train or find their friends.
As Asuka and Shizune walked out Nara Shikaku walked in and stood in front of Tsunade who now overtook the role of commander for the Sunagakure front.
"Shikaku on my way here I saw an anbu squadron killed by a ninja with 5 masks. I won't ask too much but I do want to know why an anbu team was dispatched during war when they should be fighting on the front lines?!" Tsunade shouted furiously.
"Lady Tsunade I think you forgot Konoha technically has two anbu divisions, one headed by lord third and one headed by lord danzo. If I may ask what designs were you able to see on the masks of the anbu?"
"One was an ominous-looking fox and the other one I could see was a dragon, the rest were destroyed by the ninja."
"If I may say, I think the "anbu" you saw were root operatives, and for them to be that close means they were probably targeting someone in your squad, either you or one of the two disciples."
"It would have to be me since that insane old man thinks I have a single ounce of desire to run for Hokage, anyway thank you for your input you can head out now"
"yes lady tsunade"
Tsunade watched him leave and was lost in thought, contemplating leaving the village mid-war if Danzo tried something like that again.
At a remote lake next to the Konoha camp, Asuka is trying endlessly to fuse water and lightning chakra but no progress has occurred since he arrived at camp. He was making little to no progress on his fusion so he decided to focus on lowering his seal speed when performing elemental jutsus instead.
Unbeknownst to him a group of boys was walking towards him, the group all had the Uchiha clan crest on their clothes with an arrogant expression matching the clan's nature.
"Hey, you! This is our lake where we train get out of here" one boy said as he got closer to Asuka
Asuka heard the commotion and turned "How cliche, like American bullies who start issues for no reason"
"Alright I'll leave right now" he then turned around and walked away, deeper into the surrounding woods to find a nice rock to sit down on for practice.
"Heh see? I told you people have to listen to our Uchiha clan, we're the best in the village after the disgusting senju all got split hahahaha"

"Nice one Izumi"
Asuka paused in his tracks, his mind racing but he ultimately chose to ignore their words since even Tsunade warned him not to fight anyone during wartime.
"Asuka sensei called us to come to her tent! She's holding a meeting and wants us there too" Shizune shouted as she walked past the Uchiha boys.
Asuka heard the order and walked towards shizune straight towards Shizune's tent.
"Why does that kid get to join the jonin meeting?" one Uchiha boy asked
"I don't know but I want to test him" as Izumi said that he threw a shiruken towards Asuka but before he could throw another he felt blood dripping down his ear.
"ARGHHH" Izumi shrieked in fear as he looked for Asuka but only saw two silhouettes in the distance getting smaller and smaller.
