Haruya sat on rubble, completely bewildered, staring at the remnants of the building around him. Dust hung in the air, sunlight slicing through the cracks, and tiny shards of wood and concrete littered around.
"Where did the building come from?" he muttered, lifting a chunk of rubble bigger than a car with ease.
'Wow… that's light.' he thought, The debris felt weightless in his grip
'I guess I can add super strength to my ever growing list of abilities. All I'm missing now is the ability to fly, laser eyes, and a bright blue and red suit, and you might as well call me Superboy.'
He got up, brushing the dust off his uniform, then glanced at the gaping hole he'd left in the wall.
"Now where the hell am I?" he muttered, stepping closer to the hole.
Sunlight spilled through it, blinding him for a second and when his eyes adjusted, his breath caught.
Stretching before him was nothing but water, endless and glittering under the afternoon sun.
'Wait… where did this water come from?' he thought, his mind spinning. 'Last time I checked, I was running on ground, not water.'
His brow furrowed. "Did I cross this giant mass of water without even realizing it?" he said in disbelief.
He turned back into the building, hoping to find a door or something that might tell him where he'd ended up. The place was quiet, and full of shadows. When he finally found what looked like a front door, he reached for the handle and it crumpled in his grip like foil.
'Ah… great. I don't have any control over my strength.'
'Okay… maybe a bit of practice first, can't be that hard to get under control.' he thought, walking back toward the pile of debris. He grabbed a chunk of concrete and it immediately crumbled to dust in his hand.
"Okay, maybe this is going to be a bit harder than I thought." he muttered, picking up another piece.

Two hours later
The once solid floor was now coated in a thick layer of fine dust it's all that remained of the debris he'd used for practice.
Haruya stood in the center of it, breathing steady, a small piece of rubble no bigger than his palm resting in his hand.
He closed his fist, tightening his grip slowly this time. Then, with deliberate control, he threw a punch straight at the ground.
Smack.
His knuckles hit the concrete floor hard, echoing through the empty building.
He drew his hand back and opened it the tiny piece of rubble lay perfectly intact in his palm.
'Alright, I think that's good enough.' he thought.
'I don't think I took too long, so I should still be good to go home with none the wiser.'
Confident in that thought, he walked back toward where he remembered the door being and stepped through it only to freeze.
The sun was gone. The moon now hung high in the sky, pale and bright against the dark horizon.
'AH. I'm cooked,' he thought, his expression falling into the look of a man who had fully accepted the fate waiting for him at home, his parents fury.
'But it was totally worth it,' he thought. 'I'd rather get grounded or even yelled at than accidentally bring the house down. Or worse… seriously hurt someone.'
"Now where in oblivion am I?" he muttered, walking down an unfamiliar street. He looked up and froze.
Towering above the skyline stood a massive red and white structure, it was Tokyo Tower
His jaw dropped. "How the hell am I in Tokyo?! That's like a three hour ride by train! Just how fast was I moving!?"
Still half in disbelief, Haruya started walking down the sidewalk, blending in with the evening crowd. Neon lights flickered to life, and the hum of city chatter filled the air.
He spotted an older man waiting at a crosswalk and jogged over. "Excuse me, sir!"
The man wore a crisp light brown suit with a white dress shirt and a red tie, over it a black trench coat, his hair striking black at the roots but transitioning to blond halfway down.
Haru stared at him, and couldn't help but think, 'He's got that shit on tho!!!'
The man tilted his head slightly, eyes confused about why this kid with some odd clothes was talking to him , but he gave a calm nod. "Yes? Can I help you with something?"
Haru hesitated, then asked, "Uh… how do I get to Kouh Town from here?"
The older man's eyebrow shot up in surprise. "Kouh Town? That's… not really close. Are you sure you got the right place?"
Haru nodded quickly. "Yeah, I… I got a little lost."
The man glanced down the street, still puzzled but not thinking anything too strange about it. "Well, if you want to get out of Tokyo, you'll need to follow the main road until you find the train station. From there, you can catch a train heading to your direction."
Haru nodded and gave the man with the weird hair a smile, and said, "Okay, thank you for your help."
He started walking away, scanning for an alley or empty street anywhere he could take off as fast as possible, trying to lessen the punishment he knew awaited him at home.
The older man, watching him like he was an idiot, called out, "That's the wrong way, kid!"
Haru didn't even look back. "I know!" he replied, keeping his pace.
"Kids get weirder each generation," the man muttered to himself as he looked away and finally crossed the street.
But as soon as he said that a loud, thunderous sound ripped through the air.
KRAKA BOOOOM!!!
The man whipped his head around, trying to see what had caused it but there was nothing. The kid who had been walking down the street less than twenty seconds ago was gone, vanished as if he had never existed.
All the older man could think was, 'What the hell was that?'
/////////////////////////////////////////////////
After finding an alley to disappear into, Haru ran like his life depended on it because, in a way, it did. The last time he had been grounded, his parents had confiscated his Lloyd Frontera Play Doh figure, along with one of his favorites the Superior Spider-Man. He still hadn't gotten them back.
He shuddered, imagining what they'd take this time. Batman? Green Lantern? Captain America? Or, worst of all, his Kingdom Come Superman. He knew exactly how his dad had been eyeing it, as if he wanted to claim it for himself. Well, to that, Haru thought 'Make your own, dammit!'
While making his way out of the city, Haru took mental notes of the streets and landmarks just in case he ever came back someday. But then, something caught his eye down a narrow alley.
A masked man was on top of a terrified woman that had her clothes ripped to shreds, his intentions clear enough for Haru to act without thinking.
In a flash, Haru came to a dead stop and made a sharp ninety-degree turn. The world blurred as he vanished from sight, only to reappear behind the man. He grabbed the back of his shirt, yanked him off the woman, and tossed him through the air like a ragdoll.
As the man was suspended in mid air , Haru tore a drainpipe from the side of the building, twisting it around the attacker's torso to pin his arms. With the leftover length, he gave a swift strike with his hand cleanly cutting the pipe and used it to bind the man's legs the he gently placed the man back on the ground on his back.
Then he blurred away running several blocks until he found a small boutique (a fashion shop) still open.
He stepped inside, grabbed a change of women's clothes from a rack, and dropped all of his allowance onto the counter beside the frozen cashier before vanishing again.
Back in the alley, he placed the clothes neatly beside the woman, then reached into his bag, pulling out his small notebook and pencil. Ripping off a corner of a page, he scribbled carefully
Help from your friendly neighborhood speedster.
Then he doodled a chibi Wally West winking, tongue out, flashing a thumbs-up.
He looked at it for a moment and smiled and then placed it on top of the clothes.
He took a step back, and continued on his way back home.

After six minutes of running, Haru arrived at an alley near his house and slowed to a normal pace. He stepped out, heart pounding so fast it felt like Joy Boy himself was about to return after 800 years.
Haru grabbed the handle of the front door and pushed it open. The hallway light was off, and he sighed in relief.
'Maybe they're not home… But who did they leave Issei with, then? Maybe one of the neighbors?'
He flicked the light switch on, and as the hallway illuminated, his eyes widened in horror.
Halfway down the hall, his father sat in a chair leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, fingers interlocked. Shadows masked his eyes, leaving only the glint of his glasses visible.
The moment his father noticed him, a grin spread across his face, cold, twisted, and filled with madness that sent a chill straight down Haru's spine.
"Son~" Gorou began, his tone almost like he was trying to sing a song, "do you KNOW what time it is~?"
The grin didn't fade. If anything, it widened, tilting toward insanity.
Haru's eyes went wide with panic. "You WOULDN'T!!!!" he said, voice cracking with desperation, as if sheer hope could make it true.
"OH, BUT I WOULD!!" his father said, standing up from the chair. He reached into his pocket and pulled out two life like Play Doh figures it was Kingdom Come Superman and Booster Gold.
"Now," Gorou said, smiling devilishly, "your Super Dude and Green Lantern are no longer yours for the foreseeable future."
"Green Lantern?! His name is not Green Lantern, it's Booster Gold! He's not even gre-"
"Well," his father interrupted, calm but firm, "it doesn't matter what his name is. You're still grounded."
"No… but you can't do this to me." Haru said, his tone breaking into heartbreak. "I made those." His voice rose, heat building behind his words. "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFICED?!"
He sighed, frustration and defeat mixing together. Then his eyes drifted toward his mother, peeking from behind the doorway, holding Issei in her arms. The toddler had Miles Morales in one hand and Spider-Gwen in the other.
"Oh, Mom, please…" Haru pleaded.
But Miki only spoke in her usual calm voice. "Honey, you know the rules, and so do I. We said to come home before dark. And here you are way after that."
All Haru could do was sigh, shoulders slumping in defeat.
"Okay, today I have lost, BUT BE WARNED, MOTHER, FATHER, YOU SHALL RUE THIS DAY!!" he shouted, marching past them with tears sliding down his face.
Edit:
I'm planning to bring in some slice of life anime characters soon not sure exactly who yet, but right now I'm thinking of characters from A Silent Voice and The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity.
If you've got any suggestions, drop them in the comments.
Also, do you guys want some romance in the story? I'm still pretty new to writing, just one main pairing no harem. Let me know.
