Goku put on his weighted suit again on King Kai's planet and successfully captured Babrus and Guregli after two months.
Then King Kai began to teach Goku real martial arts—the unique Kaio-ken and the deadly Spirit Bomb.
At first, Goku found it much harder than expected. In the original story, Goku learned Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb in just two or three months.
But Goku wasn't so quick. It took him seven months to fully master both techniques.
During these seven months, Goku realized that although he had completely inherited Sun Goku's body, his cultivation and understanding were entirely his own—independent of Sun Goku's original self.
King Kai looked at Goku with satisfaction. "Goku! I am very pleased with your progress. You have now surpassed me completely. I have nothing more to teach you. From now on, you must rely on yourself to walk the path ahead."
"Thank you, King Kai," Goku replied humbly.
Even though King Kai had taught him Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb, he remained Goku's teacher and deserved full respect.
King Kai nodded. "One more thing, Goku. At the moment, you can only use Kaio-ken twice at most. If you push beyond that, your body won't be able to handle it."
"I understand," Goku replied confidently.
He didn't need further explanation—he already knew his limits.
Having observed the original Dragon Ball closely, Goku was familiar with everything.
After training on King Kai's planet, his combat power had become stronger than Sun Wukong's original level.

King Kai said solemnly, "Goku, it's time to test your Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb training results."
"Yes, King Kai! I'm ready," Goku replied, clenching his fists confidently.
Obstacles had been set up around the planet.
King Kai put his hands behind his back. "Goku, use Kaio-ken to destroy all these obstacles. Show me the full power of your Kaio-ken."
"Then let's get started!"
Goku focused, mobilizing all his energy. "Kaio-ken!"
Red flames engulfed his body. As he rushed forward, he broke through all obstacles with such speed that even King Kai was dazzled.
When Goku returned, King Kai exclaimed in disbelief, "Goku, your performance has truly opened my eyes! Even I haven't fully mastered Kaio-ken, and yet you've reached this level!"
"It's all thanks to your excellent teaching, King Kai," Goku said with a smile, flattering his master.
King Kai laughed heartily, pleased, but quickly regained his serious tone. "Next, we test your Spirit Bomb."
"Understood, King Kai!" Goku responded, fully concentrating.
King Kai produced a cube and threw it with force. "Speed up! Make it faster!"
The cube circled King Kai's planet at nearly the speed of light.
Goku raised his hands and, after gathering energy from the planet, formed a Spirit Bomb.
"It's ready," Goku said, holding it in his right hand.
King Kai increased the cube's speed. Goku kept tracking its movement, and when the timing was perfect, he fired the Spirit Bomb.
Boom!
The explosion shook the entire planet. King Kai, impressed, said, "Even the Spirit Bomb has been mastered to perfection."
"How was that, King Kai?" Goku asked, pride curling his lips.
King Kai nodded, but warned seriously, "Goku, never use the Spirit Bomb recklessly. It already has tremendous power here on tiny King Kai's planet. On Earth, the energy would be countless times more destructive. Unless absolutely necessary, you must never use it."
"I understand, King Kai," Goku replied, nodding seriously.
King Kai smiled, relieved by Goku's attitude. "On your way back, I'll give you a new set of training clothes."
"That's great, King Kai," Goku said happily. His current clothes were tattered from training.
King Kai raised his hand, changing Goku's outfit into a new one. "These clothes are made from special materials and have some defensive effect."
"They're so light! Perfect," Goku said, stretching and feeling the ease of movement.
"Alright, King Kai, Babrus, Guregli, I'm leaving now," Goku said, waving goodbye.
With a burst of speed, Goku soared into the air, flying at astonishing velocity.
King Kai, Babrus, and Guregli watched him go.
King Kai sighed. "What a special human being! Right, Babrus, Guregli? From now on, we'll continue to depend on each other."
Flying through the air, Goku sensed the energy in his body. "Combat power: 9118! Incredible… I wonder what it would feel like to have the power of millions or hundreds of millions of Super Saiyans…"
"Or even Super Saiyan 3, or 4? I can't even imagine it," he muttered, awestruck.
