Several auras approached from a distance.
The arrivals were Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu.
Krillin was the first to speak, confused. "Goku, what's going on?"
Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu also looked puzzled. They had assumed Goku had been fighting Piccolo, but along the way, they realized that wasn't the case.
Goku calmly explained the general situation to Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu.
Yamcha frowned. "Does that mean two more powerful Saiyans are coming to Earth?"
"Yeah," Goku replied calmly.
Piccolo asked, "Goku, do you know when the other two Saiyans will arrive?"
Hearing this, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu also became curious. Knowing exactly when the enemy would appear was critical.
Goku crossed his arms. "If nothing unexpected happens, it should be in a year."
There was one detail Goku didn't mention. The current timeline differed from the original.
In the original story, the Dragon Balls were discovered, but in this timeline, no one had any knowledge of them yet—so it wasn't guaranteed that Nappa and Vegeta would come.
Tien Shinhan looked at Goku and asked, "Goku, was that aura you emitted earlier really yours?"
Krillin, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and even Piccolo all stared at Goku. The energy he had shown earlier was terrifying.
Goku laughed, wagging his tail. "You should focus on increasing your own strength instead of worrying about me."
"Your tail's grown back? Didn't you turn into a giant ape before?" Krillin asked, recalling Goku's terrifying transformation.
Piccolo frowned. "Krillin, what are you talking about?"
His focus was entirely on Goku's strength.
Krillin briefly explained the story of Goku transforming into a giant ape.
Meanwhile, on a distant planet in the universe:
Nappa and Vegeta were eating barbecue.
Nappa said, "Raditz was killed. Seems like Earth has some powerful fighters too."
Vegeta's face darkened. "That loser… and Kakarot dares to call this prince a loser? He must not be left alone."
"Perfect. When we get to Earth, I'll break Kakarot's neck myself," Nappa said, annoyed.
However, Nappa also voiced his concern. "But Prince Vegeta, what if Lord Frieza finds out we act on our own?"
"Hmph!" Vegeta snorted. "Don't worry about that. We're going straight to Earth."
"Yeah," Nappa nodded obediently. Whatever Vegeta said went.
Back on Earth:
When the Z Warriors learned that two powerful Saiyans were coming, they immediately intensified their training.
Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu formed a team and trained in Heaven.
Piccolo continued training alone, but that day, something happened that puzzled him. Goku handed Piccolo his son, Gohan, and asked him to train him.
This almost led to a fight between Goku and Piccolo.
Goku believed Piccolo was the perfect teacher for his son. As for himself? He was too lazy to personally guide Gohan.
Over the next year, Goku focused on consolidating his own combat power.
When Goku returned home, Chi-Chi asked, "Goku, where's Gohan? Why didn't he come back with you?"
"I left Gohan with Piccolo to train for a year. It'll make him stronger," Goku replied, smiling.
Chi-Chi froze for a moment, ready to scold him.
Then she smiled. "Forget it, Goku. I trust you won't let Gohan get into trouble. Besides, it's good—you'll spend this year with me. You've been training for years and haven't had time for me."
Goku laughed. "Haha! Chi-Chi, you're right."
Chi-Chi blushed, shy and flustered.
Bulma walked in, unimpressed. "If you two are showing affection, at least consider that I'm here too!"
Though Bulma spoke jokingly, she wasn't jealous. Goku spending time with Chi-Chi meant he had free time—time that Bulma could enjoy too.
Goku handed Raditz's scouter to Bulma. "Here, study this. You might find the technology inside interesting."
Bulma caught it eagerly. "Yeah!"
Half a year passed.
During this time, Goku spent it with Chi-Chi and Bulma.
Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu completed their training in Heaven and returned to Earth to continue separately, though Tien and Chiaotzu remained together.
Piccolo let Gohan survive in the wild for six months and then began formal training with him, while Piccolo himself underwent intense, hellish training alone.
All of them trained far more intensely than in the original story.
Goku also packed a bag of Senzu Beans and used Instant Transmission to travel to a distant planet outside the solar system, planning to train there for three to five months before returning to Earth.
