Nara Shikamaru had assumed that Uchiha Sasuke, with his Rinnegan, would resist Ada's ability, but he was mistaken. Uchiha Sasuke held the Kusanagi Sword for a long time, unable to strike.
Moreover, once Demon unleashed his power, he broke free from Uzumaki Naruto and went to Ada's side.... When Uzumaki Naruto pursued, he too fell into Ada's ability.
