Roman had taken away their sibling's freedom,innocence,and even murdered one and Aaron would never forgive him for that.
Aaron eyes locked onto Ares. "I need to speak with you," he said, his voice low and urgent.
Ares's eyes narrowed, but he nodded and followed Aaron to a more secluded spot. "What is it?" he asked, his hand on the hilt of his sword.
"It's about Roman," Aaron said, his voice barely above a whisper. "He's planning to free the Khragixx."
Ares's expression turned grave. "Are you sure about this information"
Aaron nodded. "Yes. Roman believes that with its power, no one would be able to overthrow him in the fae realm and claim the throne from him."
Ares's eyes blazed with anger. "He's playing with fire. The Khragixx is not to be trifled with. It will destroy everything in its path, by releasing it his putting not only the faes in danger but also the whole world."
Aaron's face twisted in a mixture of anger and sadness. "I know. Roman doesn't understand what he's dealing with. The Khragixx manipulated him, made him believe that he could control it, that he could be as powerful as it is."
Ares's expression softened slightly. "What makes you think this?"
"I've seen it," Aaron said, his eyes haunted. "I've seen the way Roman looks at it, the way he talks about the Khragixx . He's obsessed. And I know that once he's frees it, there's no going back. The Khragixx will destroy everything, and Roman will be powerless to stop it."
Ares's face set in a determined expression. "We need to stop him. We can't let him free the Khragixx."
Aaron nodded, a grim smile spreading across his face. "I'm with you. Let's stop Roman and save the world from destruction."
"I can't let Isabelle see me now, I won't be able to tell her about Artoras,our little brother who Roman sacrificed" Aaron said.
"She has to know, you can't keep hiding it from her,you can't keep hiding yourself from her,you are her brother and she needs you"Ares said and walked closer to Aaron "we don't have much time we might as well spend it together with family and friends" Ares said and walked away going back to meet the other,the only he told them to rest was so he could find out why they were being stalked and now he knows why they're not going to make any other stop till they get to Azov kingdom.
He needs to know why the dragons are attacking the humans and he needs to form an alliance with the Dracotaur they'll need as much help as they can get.
Getting back to the others he met them in the middle of a conversation"You're getting stronger Eris"crimson told her and they all nodded in agreement"You're back"Eris said as she noticed her brother's presence and everyone looked at him."We have to get enough rest cause we're not making any stops till we get to the Azov kingdom"Ares announce to them and they all nodded.
It was morning and it was time for them to leave as everyone got on their horses a dark cloud formed out of nowhere and someone stepped out of it, everyone was surprised cause the presence of this stranger is similar to the one that has been stalking them.
"So you're the one who has been following us" Haphaestus said.
"What do you want from us" Crimson asked this unreal looking man but he didn't talk he just stood there looking at his sister who was still in shock,Everyone noticed he gaze and followed it back to Isabelle.
"Aa…Aa..Aaron"Isabelle stammered
"Wait isn't he your brother?"Eris asked looking at Isabelle and she nodded and the others knew that this unreal looking man is actually Isabelle dark fae brother Aaron.
"Isabelle,I'm sorry I didn't come for you earlier I knew Roman plans to trap you but I didn't help you,I hope you can forgive me"Aaron said sincerely, The group exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of what to make of Aaron's words."Where's Artoras" Isabelle asked like she didn't hear what Aaron said.
"Where is Roman keeping him"She asked again and Aaron couldn't look into her eyes anymore he felt grief,anger and shame. He was so Ashamed of himself he couldn't protect his brother. Aaron's reaction told Isabelle everything she wanted to know,she didn't have to hear him say it."I never want to see you"she said and rode off and Eris followed her. The others were looking at Aaron and understood what he was feeling but they couldn't do anything and followed behind Eris and Isabelle.
Aaron stayed standing for a while his eyes closed like he was deep in thought before he suddenly flapped his mighty wings and took off to the sky. Some miles away, The group rode their horses so fast and not planning on stopping anytime soon but they heard a sound like an arrow flying through the sky and slowed down but the noise was none other than Aaron he followed them and he landed majestically in front of them his dark wings folding back. "Isabelle please give me a chance" he said immediately "I know I couldn't fight for you before but now I'm ready to,I'm ready to stop Roman from whatever his planing" he said looking so honest "please let me make it up,I know I haven't been a good brother I couldn't protect you and Artoras, I couldn't help you fight for the throne as the rightful heir to it and let Roman trap you for three years,but now I'm ready to fight,to fight for you and for everything that is right" he said looking at Isabelle "when I found out you were released I kept following you" he said Isabelle's voice was laced with emotion. "You've been watching me, Aaron. Do you know what l've been through?"
Aaron's gaze softened, and for a moment, he looked like the brother Isabelle once knew. "I know you've been through hell, Isa. And I'm sorry.I should have been there to protect you." After saying this Isabelle let out the tears she has been holding in,she couldn't and she didn't want to believe that her brother Artoras is dead and by the hands of their older brother who was supposed to protect them,but he killed them just because he wanted to throne. Aaron walked closer to her and hugged her,they're all they have and he will not allow his brother to take that even if it means killing him,he will protect his sister.
