After killing the beast, he ripped out it's claws which is 16 in total, four from each of it's four legs.
He held one of the longest one while keeping the rest in the inventory. Then proceeded to cut out the head of the cat with the claw he have with him.
Slowly, carefully, yet efficient, he cut out it's skull and when he have cut enough opening for his to pass through, he pass the claw to his left hand then dip his other hand into the cat skull, seemingly looking for something.
"Gotcha."
Nil could finally feel his hand pressing something metallic which he quickly pull out without further Ado.
"That's gross." He mumbled slightly cleaning away the blood sorounding the thing he pulled out of the cats head with pain.
Now, after cleaning the blood he now have a round bronze looking object which is slightly over 100 centimeter in diameter.
"A liquid gathering realm mana core, this should fetch some real profit in the market." He grinned, however his face fell when he notice that the core is not even a proper liquid gathering realm.
"So, you forced a breakthrough to Liquid gathering realm just recently." Nil sighed however the injuries the beast had with it before he fought it did not add up with the injury one might have after forcing a breakthrough.
So Nil bend down again, and started cutting out the beast trying to identify the injury it has and how it might have been caused.
Cultivators rank are also categorized just like items and skills, and the categorization is;
Core formation realm, which is the first step mana cultivators take into their journey of cultivation by forming a core entirely composed of mana inside their body.
Core Strengthening realm, a realm where one gather mana in the form of gas into their body and when that person mana core has been completely filled with mana gas the use it to baptise their core, strengthening it in the process.
Furthermore they have to completely full their core and baptise it for nine times before they can step into the next realm, which is the Liquid gathering realm.
In the Liquid gathering realm the cultivator gathers mana in gas form inside their core, then condensate it until the gases turn into Liquid drops. And the cultivators will have to gather these drops until their core is full to the brine with water drips or if they are the lazy type they can just breakthrough after gathering the ninth drop.
After the Liquid gathering realm is the Crystalization realm.
In the Crystalization realm, the cultivator is to crystalize all the drops of mana they have gather inside the core until not a single drop is left.
Those are the main realm of a mana cultivator. However do note that, body cultivators that do not follow the path core cultivators follow.
In fact, body cultivators that cultivate with mana do not thread the same path like mana core cultivators.
And core cultivators are strictly meant to be cultivated by people who wants to be mage or be able to cast sole flashy spell, whereas body cultivation are for those that want to be a Knight or Tank.
"Ah, so it is was injured this bad with only a single attack, a shockwave of some kind." Nil assumed after seeing the pattern of the injury on the cat.
"If a beast this powerful can be injured this badly with a single attack, then it's attacker will have to be very very much stronger that it, the attacker might be at the peak of Liquid gathering realm or possibly at the Crystalization realm." He deduced looking forward with a grim expression.
He did not know if he can defeat a beast at the Crystalization realm right now with only a silver of his strength.

A claw came swiping at Nil form behind as he was still kneeling in before the dead cat.
Before the claw could hit him though, he quickly shift to the side avoiding the strike while rolling away to avoid being bitten by another cat that swooped at him.
*Gnarl* *Gnarl*
Quickly positioning himself, he can see three more cats by his side which are growling at him violently.
"Great, three more cats that don't meow and all of them at the peak of core strengthening realm." Nil said before firmly adopting a defensive position.
The core strengthening realm is further classified into 9 steps which is the first gathering of gas to strengthen the core to the ninth gathering of gas to strengthen the core, the ninth gathering of gas can also be called the peak.
Furthermore, all the realms are also classified into 9 steps and all the 9th step in cultivation are called the peak of that realm.
*Growl*
The three of the cats growled in unison, sprinting at him while elongating their long nail that look more like talon, if anything.
He quickly throw the mana core inside his inventory while retrieving one more nail in order to equip himself.
As the three cats reach him, one clawed at him another bit at him whereas the third is a little bit further at the back, it seem not to be able to keep up the pace with the other two.
He dodge the one that bit at him, parried the one that clawed at him and also quickly stabbing it at its side while trying to distance himself from them.
The third one that is at the back suddenly caught up with him as it activate the racial still that gives it a sudden boost in speed.
Nil carefully timed his dodge when he saw the cat jumping at him.
You guys are just too dumb, your intelligence is already as strong as that of a kid yet you couldn't use it but rather fight like an animal.' he thought.
Nil dodge to the side watching the cat fly beside him, then quickly he plunged the nail into its side and as the cat was still in motion coupled with the skill that gave it a boost in speed.
The nail teared its side horizontally as Nil did not leave the nail after plunging it in its side, bit rather held it firmly while looking at how the speed the beast was coming with did not recede but rather kept pushing it forward making the nail continue tearing it's side.
*Thud*
The cat fell down to the floor with a loud thud.
"One down two more to go." Nil said as he kick away one of the cats that is trying to attack him.
