Darkness consumed me completely. This wasn't sleep or unconsciousness—this was death. My grave, my eternal prison.
I thought this was the end. I believed I would remain trapped in this void forever, counting down endless moments until time itself stopped mattering.
The idea of dying didn't terrify me. What shattered my heart was the thought of abandoning him when he finally needed me most. That realization cut deeper than any blade.
For the first time since we'd met, I understood how desperately he wanted me to stay. The walls between us had crumbled completely. We stood naked before each other, stripped of pretense and pride.
So how could it end? Why did fate demand such cruelty so soon?
Sorrow flooded every cell in my body. I didn't fight the darkness—I became one with it, accepting my fate.
