Chapter 2 - The Hidden Truth: Shackles of the Goddess of Love

The Hidden Truth of Ha Eun

As Chan Min held Ha Eun tightly, she was dreaming. It was the same dream she had seen almost every night for as long as she could remember. She felt herself as a beautiful light, shimmering with all colors simultaneously. Within her, a tremendous power pulsed, demanding to manifest. It was the call of other worlds—of all the worlds in the cosmos that needed her.

— You are merely a tool of destiny. You are here to maintain balance. You have no right to an uncontrolled display of your power.

Ha Eun heard the same commanding, masculine voice every time.

Ha Eun woke up abruptly. It was morning. Beside her, holding her close, Chan Min slept peacefully. She looked at her husband. He was beautiful. Perfect features. Excellent character. A remarkable lover. He loved her so much that Ha Eun actually felt ashamed. Ashamed that, despite all his positive qualities, she felt nothing for him but gratitude. Even at night, feeling him inside her, she only felt physiological satisfaction. The ecstasy for the body never reached the depths of her soul.

Chan Min woke up. Looking into Ha Eun's eyes, he again felt a burning, possessive desire to claim her. Even in his human form, she was more desirable to him than ever. Now she was his wife by law. Now she belonged to him alone. He abruptly pressed her against his body so she could feel his firm, aroused flesh demanding union. Gently kissing her lips, he covered her skin with kisses, inch by inch, until he reached her swollen, aroused nipples. Nibbling gently, he parted her thighs and entered her forcefully. Ha Eun groaned, her voice a mix of pain and pleasure. His kisses grew more passionate, sometimes inflicting sweet pain. Sitting her up on top of him, he began to move beneath her so intensely that Ha Eun's moans turned into cries. After reaching climax several times, she began to beg him to stop, but intoxicated by the fact that Ha Eun was now his, he could no longer hold back. His desire to possess her was so strong it was more intoxicating than any aphrodisiac, fueling the fire of the Possessive God in his blood. Despite her physical exhaustion, he took her again and again. Again and again, she experienced this sweet torment.

— My Lord, please stop. I cannot take any more.

— But I can, — he growled. — I want you to feel how much I love you. Do you feel it?

— Yes...

— Say my name.

— Chan Min, — Ha Eun groaned.

— Repeat it, — he demanded, leaning over her.

— Chan Min.

It excited him how she pronounced his name in a voice choked with pleasure. It pleased his ears. It made his flesh harder. His movements accelerated to a wild tempo. Ha Eun screamed loudly again, reaching yet another orgasm, this one quite painful from overstimulation. Finally finishing inside her, he stopped the sweet, sexual torture. Ha Eun was breathing heavily. She was so physically exhausted she couldn't even move. But Chan Min continued to cover her trembling, sweat-drenched body with kisses. He desperately wanted to show her his love. Before the wedding, Ha Eun was not particularly familiar with him and did not remember at all who he truly was or what connected them. But Chan Min was certain that with his love, he could ensure that she would love him as fiercely as he loved her. And that everything between them, even in this world, would be as it was before. This was the pure truth. However, the most terrifying truth for Ha Eun was not just that she became the wife of Chan Min while loving another, but that she could not remember her true beloved, and she could not remember who she was long before this.

The True Form of Ha Eun

Many millennia ago, when there was no sun, no moon, and no breath of life, there were only energies. They were born from the luminous heart of the cosmos, colliding, intertwining, and merging to form new shapes. Thus, worlds, elements, and gods appeared. Each energy carried a purpose—light, darkness, wisdom, destruction, healing. Their numbers were vast and varied. The strongest god, Ro Woon, was meant to maintain their equilibrium. He was the energy of Order, the guardian of all universes. For millennia, he watched to ensure the energies did not spiral out of control, lest chaos destroy everything created by the cosmos. He was aided by his faithful wife, the goddess of Joy, Bin Na; his son, Chan Min—a young god, the embodiment of perfection: wisdom, beauty, and the power of all elements harmoniously united within him; and his daughter, No Eul—the goddess of Beauty and Fragrance.

Ro Woon's rule was perfect until one day, a new and extremely powerful energy—Love—emerged from the heart of the cosmos. It was so beautiful and mighty that it could balance or shatter not only worlds but the very essence of Creation. All gods of all levels came to witness the miracle. Among them were prophets who warned Ro Woon that the new energy was so unique that even a small, uncontrolled surge of it was powerful enough to change the course of development for the entire cosmos.

— As long as her power sleeps, there is no danger, — the prophets said. — But once she achieves spiritual perfection, all her might will awaken.

Ro Woon could not allow this to happen; he could not permit chaos. Therefore, he decided to take the energy of Love under his control and brought her into his palace as an adopted daughter. They named her Ha Eun, and she took the form of a maiden—tender, luminous, with eyes that reflected all the stars. Her laughter healed, her tears created life. When she walked in the gardens of the gods, flowers blossomed, and the heavens grew brighter. Her development brought only beauty, but Ro Woon saw in it a sign of tragedy. One day, she overheard Ro Woon ordering the spiritual priests to shackle her power with restraints.

— But why? — Ha Eun asked, bewildered why they sought to suppress her power rather than cultivate it. — Shouldn't I learn to wield this energy instead of holding it back?

— This is all for your own safety. You are a tool of destiny. You are here to maintain balance. You have no right to an uncontrolled display of your power.

But despite all the formations restraining her power, Ha Eun's energy gained not only might but also beauty. Looking at her, all of Chan Min's spiritual power faltered. He fell in love with this beautiful energy from their first meeting. His love for her was pure, like the morning light. Chan Min found more and more reasons to see her often. Her energy was so intoxicating that he was literally gasping with desire to possess her. He was ready to give up his spiritual core just so she could be his.

Ha Eun also felt an affinity for the young God. Her spiritual essence responded to him with warmth, a pleasant vibration. She liked Chan Min, his care and his strength. When he looked at her, a gentle glow sparked in her chest, and she thought that perhaps this was sympathy. Fainting from the desire to unite with Ha Eun forever and lock her essence close to his own, Chan Min struggled to wait for the time of her spiritual perfection. This was the time when gods not only achieved their full power but also decided who they would continue their spiritual journey with.

— Father, I know you raised Ha Eun as your own daughter. But I love her more than my life and my divine destiny, and I ask for your blessing upon the union of our energies.

Ro Woon was not surprised by the request. He had long seen how Chan Min felt about his adopted sister. Internally, he had been anticipating this conversation and had long ago consented to his plea.

— My son, I give my blessing. May your energies become a single source of power. Accept her as a gift, and may your union strengthen the order of the cosmos.

Ro Woon felt relieved. After all, if Ha Eun united her energy with Chan Min, they would forever share a single power, and it would be easier to manage her strength after its awakening. Therefore, his son's request was immediately approved. But Ro Woon had no idea that his desire to gain complete control over her in this manner would lead to unpredictable and destructive consequences.

However, not everyone was pleased with the new energy of Ha Eun. Seeing how obsessed her brother and father were with her, a burning jealousy and corrosive envy took root in No Eul's essence. The beloved daughter and sister for thousands of years, she did not understand such drastic changes in the behavior of the gods who once worshipped her. Therefore, when her father announced the engagement of her brother and Ha Eun, No Eul flew into uncontrolled rage. How could this new and underdeveloped energy achieve such a status and enter the family of energies ruling all the energies of the cosmos?

— Father! — No Eul's voice was sharp, shattering the eternal tranquility of the palace. — My brother is a great god of the highest rank, and you are giving him in marriage an energy that hasn't even proven herself! She is not our blood, and she is dangerous! Have you forgotten the words of the prophets?

— No Eul, though you are my only daughter, I will not tolerate defiance in my decisions. By doubting my judgment, you doubt me. This is unacceptable. For this, you are banished to the Cold Palace for reflection.

For No Eul, this was the humiliation of her divine essence. Her father had never punished her until this Ha Eun appeared. "Let me suffer this humiliation because of her now," No Eul thought, her heart ablaze with black resentment. "But the time will come, and I will find a way for this upstart to take her true place: underfoot! I will destroy her."

All the supreme gods of the realm of light gathered for the engagement announcement of Chan Min and Ha Eun. When the bride appeared, she blinded all the gods, like a thousand suns.

— What power!

— Truly, an unheard-of might is hidden within this goddess.

Chan Min looked at his future wife with adoration bordering on frantic lust. Ha Eun walked lightly and gracefully, and with every step, her energy became more manifest, causing the air to vibrate. She was an embodied dream walking directly toward him. This beautiful goddess, who did not yet suspect her own power. The goddess who would soon become one with him. The goddess capable not only of uniting worlds but also of destroying them.
