It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, there were no clouds in sight, birds were chirping and flying about, and the sea water gently rolled back and forth on the beach.
Umbrellas of various colours were blotted across the sand, like marbles that spilled onto the floor. People lazed around, playing in the sand and water.
It truly was a beautiful d-
"AAAAAAGHH!!!!"
A chilling scream rang out throughout the nice getaway. And a second later, more followed.
The water bubbled and throbbed, and a moment later it split open like a giant gate, releasing an unspeakable horror.
A massive figure rose from out of the water. Its chitin-covered body blotted out the sun. Six legs carved grooves on the sea bed, and two pincers, one much larger than the other, snapped open wide. Its dark blue coloring made it even more menacing.
Sweeping its gaze across the beach, it let out a chilling roar. Its giant frame moved toward the beach.
The people ran for their lives, not caring about anything else. Some were trampled and left behind, only able to look on in despair as the massive crustacean lumbered closer.
Though, before it could put a leg on the dry sand, another roar was heard. A moment later, a small black blur shot into the horror.
A loud bang echoed throughout the beach, and the monster was sent flying back into the water, the black blur following quickly behind.
Loud bangs and explosions could be heard from deep under the water. The people could only wait in deathly silence.
A few excruciating moments later the sounds stopped. The crowd looked on in morbid curiosity and fear.
"Hey! Look! Over there!" Someone yelled.
A small figure slowly rose from the sea and walked onto the beach. It was a human, or more accurately, a female. Clothed in black, scaled armour, her amber eyes scanned the crowd.
A second later, a toothy grin spread across her face, and sharp teeth greeted the crowd. Her long ebony hair, which was somehow dry, blew in the cool ocean breeze. And then she spoke.
"Greetings! I am-"

"-I am Luna!"
'She's so cool!' A young boy hopped off the living room couch and pumped his right fist in the air.
'I am going to be just like her!' A smile erupted onto his face as his mind wandered.
"Finn! Dinner is ready!"
The boy's head jolted toward the kitchen door. "Coming, Mama!"
The boy turned towards the TV and paused the video. Looking one last time at the screen, he read the title that popped up at the top of it, 'No. 1 hero debut.'
Smiling, he turned around and walked to the kitchen.
