Physical leave is indeed something that exists, some companies already implement it, but the vast majority do not offer this benefit.
After all, for them, an extra day off for employees means a loss.
As a boss, Stellan Sutton has a genuinely good conscience.
Eve Sherman felt touched and admired his courage.
No wonder Hess has risen so quickly and secured a place in Ardane.
"Got it, President Sutton."
She responded, noting this down on her schedule.
Half an hour later, the car stopped at the hotel entrance, Eve Sherman went to the front desk to confirm the room for Stellan Sutton, who calmly sat on the sofa busy with work.
The other party showed full sincerity, booking the best hotel in the city for Stellan Sutton, with the best view from the room, standing by the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the whole cityscape.
After entering the room, Stellan Sutton waved his hand, "You can rest for another three hours. If you're still not feeling well later, I'll go to the event alone."
Eve Sherman naturally wouldn't let that happen, "I'll come to call you at six."
Her room was downstairs; she kicked off her high heels, covered her stomach, and rushed into the bathroom as soon as she entered.
Perhaps the studio has been too busy recently, she hasn't slept well, this time the menstrual pain was especially severe, and she sat on the toilet, barely able to get up.
She took too many painkillers, her head was a bit dizzy, she groggily wrapped in a thick quilt and collapsed on the bed, almost passing out.
She set the alarm for half past five, waking up feeling warm and much more comfortable. Thinking of accompanying Stellan Sutton to the event later, she couldn't afford any mishap, she endured the discomfort and swallowed another painkiller.
At six, she punctually knocked on Stellan Sutton's room door.
Stellan Sutton hadn't rested, still working on his computer, "Feeling better?"
Eve Sherman nodded, "I'm already alright, sorry for delaying work this morning due to physical reasons."
Stellan Sutton put down the computer, got up, and went to the mirror, tidying his cufflinks and hairstyle, "This is unavoidable, no need to apologize, health comes first."
His attire was simple, not the cumbersome full suit, just a straightforward shirt and trousers, with two buttons undone, looking much more relaxed.
Once he was ready, the car was already waiting downstairs.
The evening's event was set at a lavish hotel, with huge crystal chandeliers and glass mirrors at the entrance, shining like a palace.
Entering the private room, Eve Sherman immediately saw a neat line of tall beauties, wearing uniforms and short skirts. As Stellan Sutton sat down, two immediately came over to serve him tea and water, and offered hot towels to wipe hands.
Eve Sherman had nothing to do, only standing far away at the side.
The other party exchanged a few pleasantries with Stellan Sutton, then his gaze fell on Eve Sherman.
"President Sutton, your taste is truly excellent, your assistant is so young and beautiful. How about inviting the assistant to the table? We're not that fussy, here for a meal, just enjoy and have fun."
Upon hearing this, Eve Sherman's heart slightly sank.
This wasn't a good thing, nor was the other party particularly accommodating.
They merely wanted to pressure her into drinking.
Previously with Phillip Langdon, she'd been forced into such predicaments countless times.
Each time they jestingly teased, pressuring her to drink, not at all treating her as a person.
All eyes were on her, recalling unpleasant memories, she knew as an assistant these things were unavoidable. Inwardly, she couldn't help but think of excuses to refuse.
She looked up and met Stellan Sutton's gaze.
Almost as if she needn't say more, Stellan Sutton coolly shifted his gaze away.
"At my table, there is no reasoning for a subordinate to dine with me."
Stellan Sutton's deep voice quietly resonated, his eyes moved to Eve Sherman, "You wait outside."
Eve Sherman slightly bowed, "Alright, President Sutton."
The opposing side exchanged glances, awkwardly smiling, "Didn't expect President Sutton to be so strict..."
Stellan Sutton merely lowered his eyes and drank tea, not speaking.
The seasoned ones at the table are savvy, surely interpreting his intentions?
Perhaps at this moment, they're guessing all sorts of possibilities.
"President Sutton seldom visits, tonight everything is arranged, after the meal there's more in store, ensuring you an unforgettable trip in Marinus! You must grace us later!"
Eve Sherman heard someone say this as she left the private room.
