Chapter 2 - introduction

*Agani (India)*

Age: 30

Agani works in a travel company in Mumbai. She's calm but bold and confident, with a strong dislike for gossip and shallow talk. As a skilled bike racer, she often rides at night to clear her mind and also participates in racing competitions. An orphan, Agani lives alone in a small apartment in Mumbai. She owns a red pendant with a silver chain and keeps a personal diary, though many pages have mysteriously been torn out. Despite her desire for a simple life, strange signs from her past keep resurfacing. Recently, she received an email from Seoul saying one of her diary pages had been found there, prompting her to book a flight to South Korea—the first step toward uncovering her forgotten truth.

*Seo Re-ha (South Korea)*

Age: 25

Seo Re-ha is a fashion designer in Seoul, admired for her emotional, story-driven collections. Calm and graceful, she's secretly haunted by vivid dreams she doesn't understand. Often, she sketches faces, a pendant, and a diary—symbols that reappear in her art. For Re-ha, creativity is her only escape from loneliness. She's repeatedly visited by dreams of a woman calling the name "Agani."

*Lin Nira (China)*

Age: 25

Lin Nira works as a literature teacher in Shanghai. She's gentle, curious, and deeply intuitive, with a love for books, handwritten letters, and forgotten stories. Nira wears a silver bracelet with a tiny key charm left behind by her late mother. Though she doesn't know what the key opens, she feels it protects her. While grading essays, she finds a torn diary page written in Hindi with the name "Agani" on it, sparking an obsession to uncover its origin.

*Lila Carter (United States)*

Age: 23

Lila Carter is a chef in New York City known for her creativity and lively energy. Playful, talkative, and warm-hearted, she hides old pain behind her laughter. Lila has a burn mark on her right hand and collects vintage cookbooks from around the world. One day, she finds a folded recipe page inside an old Korean cookbook, written in mixed languages (English, Korean, Hindi). The handwriting feels strangely familiar, and the dish tastes hauntingly nostalgic. Deciding to cook it for a food festival in Seoul, Lila embarks on an unexpected journey toward truth and memory.
