Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Reward

Thirteen years.

That's how long it had been since that insane night when I, a recently deceased man turned shadowy entity, made the most absurd gamble in cosmic history, possessing a pregnant woman.

And apparently, it had worked.

Now, I was… alive.

To everyone else, I was just an ordinary Japanese teenager named Rin Takamine— a perfectly normal kid with black hair, a faintly foreign air, and a knack for getting into minor trouble. My mother had no idea that her son was once a sentient patch of darkness floating over Shibuya, and yes... She was KasumiTakamine that kasumi...

'Why not reincarnate in a normal anime world... Not that I don't like her but if she is real than the villains from the varius ntr should also exist no? I hope this hentai is the only real one...'

"Rin! You're going to be late again!"

That was Sayuri my twin sister — bossy, terrifying. She was the type who could turn an ordinary breakfast into a military operation.

And behind her voice came another.

"Don't ignore her, Rin. You're terrible at pretending you're asleep."

That was Ayame, my older sister. She was always joking, without taking anything seriously.

I groaned, stretching under the blanket. "Five more minutes won't kill anyone…"

"It will kill me," Ayame snapped. "Because if you're late again, Mom's going to blame me!"

I peeked out from the covers, smirking. "You're so dramatic. I was just contemplating the mysteries of life."

Ayame leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed. "Last time you said that, you were actually calculating how many times you could hit snooze before the bus left."

"…A philosopher is always misunderstood."

Breakfast in the Takamine house was chaos, as usual. Ayame burned the toast, Sayuri scolded her for it, and I pretended not to notice that my toast tasted like regret.

But somewhere deep inside me, beneath the routine and the laughter and the mundane rhythm of family life… something was shifting.

A low hum. A vibration. Familiar.

Then, the voice I hadn't heard in over a decade.

[SYSTEM RESUMING…]

I froze mid-sip.Milk nearly went flying.

[Congratulations, Host.Mission: COMPLETE.Time elapsed: 12 years, 8 months, 3 days.Reward: Initiating Awakening Sequence.]

Oh no.Not this again.

I excused myself from the table with a nervous laugh. "Uh, I—I'll go get my bag!"Then I dashed upstairs before anyone could notice the faint blue glow flickering in my eyes.

The system's interface reappeared, floating in the air like a hologram only I could see — sleek, glowing, and annoyingly smug.

"Hey! You can't just pop in after twelve years like you didn't ghost me!" I hissed.

[Apologies for the delay. System maintenance was required.]

"Maintenance?! I've been living like a normal kid!"

[So?]

"So? Fuck you. What's this 'reward' about? I've earned something for not disintegrating?"

[Reward: Unique Skill – "Addictive seed."[Description: Anyone who drinks/ingests or receives your seed will begin to have more and more desire towards you.]

"Wait, what?"

Before I could even process that, my body pulsed with dark energy — subtle but intense, like my blood had turned to static. My reflection in the mirror flickered, revealing for a split second the same shadowed figure I'd once been.

Tall. Misty. Eyes glowing like embers.

Then, gone.

"Great," I muttered, steadying myself. "Puberty wasn't weird enough, I had to get supernatural déjà vu too."

There was a knock on the door.

"Rin? You okay in there?" Ayame's voice. Calm but curious.

I scrambled to sound normal. "Yeah! Totally fine! Just tripping over my bag!"

She hesitated. "Right. You've been… different lately. You sure you're sleeping enough?"

If only she knew.

I glanced at her through the mirror's reflection as she opened the door slightly. For a split second — maybe I imagined it — a faint trace of blue shimmered around her, like threads of energy connecting to mine.

[Do you want to open the starter pack?]

"What the—?"

Ayame blinked. "Did you say something?"

"No! I was just, uh… talking to myself."

She sighed. "That's not reassuring."

When she left, I exhaled hard and leaned against the desk. My mind was racing. Hoping for something that was normal. "Open it" I whispered.

[Opening...Gained two skill. Mythical skill: "Extraction" Legendary skill. "Paste"]

At school, I tried to act normal — pretending to listen in class, joking with friends. But every few hours, I was thinking about the rewards.

By the time the final bell rang, I was already mentally exhausted.

Walking home, Ayame walked beside me, headphones in, humming softly. Sayuri had stayed for club activities. For a while, we didn't talk — just the sound of cicadas and passing cars.

Then Ayame said, without looking at me, "You've changed."

I tensed. "How so?"

"You feel… different. Like you're thinking about something important, but you're pretending it's nothing."

She looked at me with those clear brown eyes, sharp and gentle all at once. "If something's wrong, you can tell me."

I wanted to. God, I wanted to.

But what could I possibly say? 'Hey, I died in Italy and reincarnated as a shadow monster'?

"Nothing's wrong," I said finally, forcing a smile. "I'm just… figuring things out."

She studied me for a long moment, then nodded. "If you say so."

That night, as the city lights shimmered outside my window, I sat on the edge of my bed staring at the faint traces of darkness swirling around my hands.

[New main mission avaible: Use your unique skill. Objective: Have one or more of your family members drink or ingest your semen in some way. Rewards: Unlock "Daily missions" and unlock "stats." ]

A new directive.

I sighed. "Of course. Because one peaceful decade was too much to ask."

"Sweet home Alabama…" I repeated quietly.

My gaze drifted to the closed door, where I could faintly hear Ayame's voice singing softly in her room.

"Yeah," I whispered. "Shit."

Outside, a sudden gust of wind rattled the window.
