(At the Angels Of Slaughter Base).
An hour later, Overhaul carefully placed the red contacts in his eyes, completing his disguise as Kiyozawa. With a deep breath, he stepped into the Angels Of Slaughter base, his heart pounding slightly faster than usual. As he walked through the halls, he caught sight of Zentaro - Kiyozawa's father and the current head of the organization. Zentaro looked up from his paperwork, his sharp gaze immediately falling on Overhaul.
Zentaro: "Kiyozawa, back already?"
Overhaul: "Yeah, I'm back... Dad."
He responded nervously, nearly stumbling over the word 'Dad' as he addressed Zentaro. He tried to keep his voice steady and mimic Kiyozawa's usual tone, but there was a slight tremor in his words.
Zentaro raised an eyebrow curiously, noticing the subtle difference in Kiyozawa's demeanor.
Zentaro: "You're acting strange."
He commented, his voice cold and observant.
Zentaro: "Where were you?"
He asked suspiciously.
Overhaul: "I went for a walk and I just remembered I have to take care of my sister's pug, Ruby."
He said, his voice sounding slightly strained as he tried to maintain Kiyozawa's calm and collected tone. He hoped that mentioning the pet would distract Zentaro from noticing his odd behavior. Zentaro's expression softened slightly at the mention of the family pet, but his eyes remained sharp and skeptical.
Zentaro: "Ruby, huh?"
He muttered thoughtfully.
Zentaro: "That dog is more trouble than it's worth."
He reached out and patted Overhaul's head, mistaking him for his son Kiyozawa.
Zentaro: "Kiyozawa, you better not be doing anything illegal."
He said firmly, his hand lingering on Overhaul's head longer than necessary. Overhaul flinched slightly at the unexpected contact, his heart racing even faster. He had to bite his tongue to prevent himself from reacting differently than Kiyozawa would have.
Overhaul: "Of course not, Dad."
He replied smoothly, mimicking his son's respectful tone.
Zentaro: "Good."
He said, seemingly satisfied with Overhaul's response. He turned and walked away, leaving Overhaul standing alone in the hallway. As Zentaro disappeared around a corner, Overhaul let out a shaky breath, his heart still pounding in his chest. He knew Zentaro wasn't entirely convinced - the old man's suspicion was written all over his face. But for now, Overhaul had managed to pass himself off as Kiyozawa, albeit barely.
Overhaul walked down the hallway, his ears picking up the sound of a barking dog. As he turned the corner, he saw the powerful pug, Ruby, her ears perked up and her eyes fixed on him. She let out a series of loud barks, clearly recognizing something unusual about Overhaul despite his disguise. Overhaul froze, unsure of how to handle the situation. He hadn't accounted for the dog's keen senses and apparent loyalty to Kiyozawa.
In a flash, Ruby transformed. Her small pug body grew and morphed, expanding until she towered over Overhaul, easily twice his size. With a powerful leap, she knocked him to the ground, her massive paws pinning him down. Overhaul let out a yelp of surprise and pain as the air was knocked from his lungs. Ruby's massive head loomed over him, her sharp teeth bared and dangerous-looking despite her adorable breed. Clearly, this wasn't just any dog - she was incredibly intelligent and protective.
Overhaul: "It's me, Kiyozawa!"
He gasped out, trying desperately to sound like the real Kiyozawa despite being pinned beneath the enormous pug. Ruby paused, her massive head tilting to the side as she studied him closely. Something about his voice must have seemed familiar because suddenly, her huge tongue came out, giving Overhaul a giant lick across his face - a clear sign of recognition despite knowing deep down that he wasn't her real owner.
Ruby continued to lick Overhaul enthusiastically, her massive tongue leaving a trail of slobber everywhere it touched. She licked his face, his hair, his clothes - nowhere was safe from her affectionate onslaught. Overhaul squirmed and giggled uncontrollably, the tickling sensation overwhelming his attempts to maintain a serious demeanor. His disguise was quickly becoming disheveled and soaked with dog slobber as Ruby's licking intensified.
Suddenly, Ruby stopped licking Overhaul completely, her massive head lifting off him. Before Overhaul could even catch his breath, twenty identical Ruby clones appeared surrounding him, all of them growing to the same enormous size as the original. Overhaul stared up at the sea of giant pug faces, his mouth hanging open in shock. Each Ruby had the same adorable appearance but possessed immense power and intelligence. How was he supposed to take care of twenty of these creatures?
(In his mind).
"I'm not cut out for this."
(Out of his mind).
His heart sinking as he looked around at the circle of giant pugs surrounding him. Twenty Rubys was way beyond anything he had anticipated or prepared for. Each one could grow huge, create clones, teleport, and possess dangerous powers. The sheer thought of managing them all while maintaining his disguise as Kiyozawa was utterly overwhelming. He felt like he'd bitten off more than he could chew - no pun intended.
(In the background).
Zentaro: "Kiyozawa, got a minute?"
His voice suddenly called out from down the hallway, his heavy footsteps approaching. Overhaul's heart jumped into his throat. He was barely holding onto his disguise as it was - how was he supposed to handle this new complication? Twenty giant pug clones stared back at him, their intelligent eyes reflecting his own rising panic. He knew he had to respond or risk blowing his cover entirely.
Overhaul: "S-sure thing Dad."
He stammered out, trying to mimic Kiyozawa's voice perfectly.
He stepped into the room, his sharp eyes immediately taking in the scene before him - twenty identical giant pugs surrounding Overhaul. Without hesitation, he snapped his fingers sharply.
Zentaro: "Ruby, normal."
He commanded firmly. Instantly, all twenty clones vanished without a trace, returning to their original small pug forms. Ruby herself shrank back to her usual adorable size, trotting over to Zentaro and rubbing against his leg affectionately.
Zentaro: "Can I ask you a question, Chisaki?"
He asked calmly, his sharp gaze fixed on Overhaul. He had known immediately that the person before him was not his son - the subtle differences in voice, posture, and reaction were clear signs. Calling Overhaul by his last name was a deliberate move to make him slip up. Overhaul froze completely, his eyes widening slightly. He had been caught - there was no way to deny it now.
Overhaul: "Because... because...,"
He stammered, his mind racing for an excuse.
Zentaro: "Don't bother answering."
He said coldly, his eyes narrowing suspiciously.
Zentaro: "I think I know why. Kiyozawa used you so he could do his 'blood money' business without getting his hands dirty. And oh yeah... sorry about your father falling into a coma so suddenly."
His voice dripped with sarcasm and hidden meaning - clearly implying that he knew Overhaul had something to do with his father's sudden health issue. Overhaul's face paled even further. How did Zentaro know so much?
Overhaul: "How did you know?"
He asked, his voice trembling with a mix of surprise and fear. He genuinely couldn't understand how Zentaro had pieced together the information so quickly. As far as he knew, he had only confided in Kiyozawa about harming his father - there was no way Zentaro should have found out unless Kiyozawa had betrayed him somehow. The thought sent a chill down his spine.
Zentaro: "How did I know?"
He repeated, his tone cold and calculating.
Zentaro: "Let's just say I have my ways of gathering information. It wasn't difficult to piece together that you were involved in your father's sudden coma - especially when Kiyozawa conveniently disappeared right around the same time."
He paused, his gaze piercing through Overhaul like a knife.
Zentaro: "And now I find you pretending to be my son? Trying to cover for him while he's off doing... whatever it is he does?"
Overhaul's heart raced as Zentaro spoke, realizing just how clever and connected the older man truly was.
Overhaul: "You're smarter than I gave you credit for."
He admitted quietly, his disguise completely shattered now. There was no use denying it anymore - Zentaro had figured everything out.
Overhaul: "But how did you know it was me specifically? Kiyozawa didn't tell you..."
Zentaro: "I didn't need Kiyozawa to tell me."
He interrupted sharply, his eyes flashing with anger and intelligence.
Zentaro: "I have eyes and ears everywhere in this organization - including someone close to your father's side who saw you leaving suspiciously around the time he collapsed. Putting two and two together wasn't hard."
He crossed his arms, clearly enjoying Overhaul's shocked expression.
Zentaro: "And now here you are, trying to use my son's identity for your own gain."
His voice dropped lower, more menacing.
Overhaul: "I used my quirk to put him in a coma..."
He confessed quietly, the words hanging heavy in the air between them.
Zentaro's face turned red with rage and disappointment at hearing the admission directly from Overhaul's mouth. His hand balled into a fist at his side, knuckles white with barely contained fury.
Zentaro: "You fucking monster."
He growled through gritted teeth.
Zentaro: "Your own father..."
He trailed off, incapable of finishing the sentence without screaming.
Overhaul: "I only did it to carry out my plan!"
He snapped defensively, his eyes wild with desperation and madness.
Overhaul: "The Yakuza in my world is crumbling! I had to do something drastic to make them number one again!"
He took a deep breath before continuing, his voice lowering conspiratorially.
Overhaul: "And that involves... experimenting on Eri."
The words hung heavy in the air, revealing the true extent of his twisted ambitions. Zentaro's face paled slightly at the mention of Eri being involved in this madness.
Zentaro's hand instinctively reached for the sword at his side, rage and justice warring within him. He wanted to cut Overhaul down right then and there, to protect Eri and punish the monster before him. But he hesitated - Overhaul looked too much like Kiyozawa. The same height, same build, same features. If he struck now, he might accidentally harm his own son. His hand hovered over the hilt, trembling with frustration and unspent violence.
Zentaro: "You sick fuck,"
He hissed through clenched teeth.
Overhaul's hand instinctively reached for his glove, ready to trigger his quirk and unleash devastation upon Zentaro. He paused, sensing the older man's hesitation. Zentaro's sword remained sheathed, his expression conflicted - clearly struggling between his desire to protect Eri and his potential son Kiyozawa who closely resembled Overhaul. This moment of hesitation gave Overhaul an unexpected advantage. He slowly lowered his hand, glove untouched.
Overhaul: "You're not going to kill me."
He stated quietly, testing Zentaro's resolve.
Zentaro: "I should kill you."
He growled lowly, sword still unsheathed but hand trembling with uncertainty.
Zentaro: "But you look too much like Kiyozawa. I can't bring myself to kill my own son..."
His voice cracked slightly on the last word, revealing the internal struggle tearing him apart. Overhaul saw an opening in Zentaro's hesitation—a chance to manipulate the situation further—to use Kiyozawa's resemblance as a shield against a justice seeking blade. The monster inside him smiled coldly behind those familiar red eyes.
Overhaul: "Then forget what I told you."
He said coldly, his voice dripping with venomous calmness.
Overhaul: "Forget about Eri. I look just like your son, Kiyozawa."
He took a step closer to Zentaro, his eyes burning with malice and a twisted sense of superiority.
Overhaul: "You can't kill me. If you do, you might as well be killing him too." He sneered mockingly, relishing in the power his resemblance gave him over the conflicted Yakuza boss.
(Meanwhile, at the League of Villains' meeting spot).
Kiyozawa stood outside the abandoned building with Twice. His eyes skeptically scanned the dilapidated structure.
Kiyozawa: "You choose this spot as your base?"
He asked Twice, his voice carrying a hint of disbelief. Twice shrugged nonchalantly.
Twice: "Not really."
He replied casually.
Twice: "We don't show new members the actual base just yet."
His explanation did little to ease Kiyozawa's suspicions about their secretive operations.
Kiyozawa remained silent as he followed Twice inside the abandoned building. The sight that greeted him was unexpected - the League of Villains members were all gathered in one place. At the center stood a figure Kiyozawa suspected to be Shigaraki, the infamous leader of the group.
Shigaraki: "You brought us a big catch, Twice."
He said, his voice echoing through the room as he fixed his gaze on Kiyozawa. Kiyozawa felt a surge of satisfaction upon hearing Shigaraki's words - they truly believed he was Overhaul. His disguise seemed to be working perfectly so far.
Kiyozawa: "You think so?"
He replied calmly, hiding his internal delight behind a composed facade.
Shigaraki: "My master showed me a picture of you."
He continued, stepping closer to Kiyozawa with an intense gaze.
Shigaraki: "The young head of the Shie Hassaikai... What brings someone like you here?"
His question hung heavy in the air as members began whispering amongst themselves. Suddenly Toga interrupted loudly.
Toga: "Wait why is HE so important?! We're ALL bad guys here!"
Her outburst caused everyone to turn towards Kiyozawa expectantly awaiting an answer he didn't have prepared by Overhaul beforehand..
Kiyozawa: "Well?"
Mr. Compress: "Let me answer this."
Mr. Compress said, his voice booming through the room as he stood up.
Mr. Compress: "Back then, the Yakuza was the supreme power in the underworld. But then heroes started appearing, disrupting their operations. When All Might emerged, it was like a nuclear bomb dropped on our world. The Yakuza groups were decimated, becoming an endangered species."
His words sent a shock through Kiyozawa.
Kiyozawa stood there, shock and anger warring within him as he absorbed Mr. Compress's revelation. In his world, the Yakuza were powerful and feared. The idea that they were being wiped out by heroes was utterly foreign and infuriating to him. His hands clenched into fists at his sides as he struggled to maintain his composure and not lose his temper right there in front of the League of Villains.
Magne: "So I'm assuming you're excited about All Might's retirement too?"
She asked Kiyozawa, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
Kiyozawa hesitated briefly before responding.
Kiyozawa: "Sure, I guess."
His tone was noncommittal, masking his true thoughts on the matter. He wasn't exactly thrilled about All Might's retirement - in fact, he had no idea what was happening in this world's hero society until now. But he knew better than to reveal his ignorance in front of these powerful villains.
(In his mind).
"I don't know who All Might is. I don't know anything about this world or its heroes."
He realized he was completely out of his element here, forced to pretend to be someone he wasn't while surrounded by dangerous villains who seemed to expect him to have certain knowledge and opinions.
"But I have to keep pretending to be Overhaul."
He reminded himself firmly, determined to play the part until he could figure out a way out of this situation.
(Out of his mind).
Shigaraki: "So I'm assuming you want to join us?"
He asked directly, his gaze piercing through Kiyozawa's disguise. Kiyozawa's mind raced desperately, realizing he was being offered membership into the League of Villains - something Overhaul might actually want, but Kiyozawa had no interest in.
Kiyozawa: "I guess so."
He replied noncommittally, buying himself time to think while trying not to reveal his true feelings or lack of knowledge about this world's villainous alliances.
Shigaraki: "What do you mean 'I think so'?"
He pressed, his brow furrowing in suspicion at Kiyozawa's uncertain response.
Shigaraki: "You mean to tell me you don't have any idea what you want?"
His tone was accusatory, as if Shigaraki couldn't believe that Overhaul would be so clueless about joining their ranks. The room fell silent, all eyes turning to Kiyozawa, waiting for an explanation that made sense.
Kiyozawa: "I guess so..."
He muttered uncertainly.
Before he knew it, his body was being dragged forward, his eyes flashing from gold to red as he instinctively activated his power. With a swift, powerful motion, he summoned his long black wings and slashed through Magne's giant magnet, cleanly severing it and instantly killing her.
Everyone's eyes widened in shock as Mr. Compress immediately lunged towards Kiyozawa, his massive body moving with surprising speed. But Kiyozawa was faster, his red eyes locking onto Mr. Compress as he opened his mouth and released a devastating screech. The sound waves hit Mr. Compress directly, causing his face to contort in agony before he collapsed to the ground, his ears and mouth bleeding profusely. The other villains froze, stunned by Kiyozawa's sudden and brutal display of power.
Shigaraki reacted instantly, his decay powers activating as he lunged towards Kiyozawa with a menacing grin. However, Kiyozawa was already airborne, his wings carrying him upwards. He unleashed another powerful sound wave attack directly at Shigaraki who barely managed to dodge by running away quickly while decaying the building around them causing chunks of concrete and metal debris to rain down dangerously everywhere else. The other villains scattered in panic trying desperately to avoid getting caught in the crossfire between these two terrifying forces.
Kiyozawa: "Just remember you made the first move!"
He shouted, his voice echoing menacingly as he tore off the plague doctor mask, revealing his true face. His red eyes burned with intensity, and he began to screech loudly, sending powerful sound waves rippling through the air. Toga's eyes widened in terror as she suddenly felt her heart stop beating.
Toga hit the floor with a thud, her body going limp as the screech's instantaneous death effect took hold. Her eyes remained open, staring blankly at the ceiling as she lay motionless among the debris. The other villains froze in horror, watching as Toga died suddenly without warning due to Kiyozawa's terrifying "quirk" activating randomly when he removed his mask. They realized too late that being near Kiyozawa without him wearing his mask meant certain death for anyone caught in its range - completely unpredictable and merciless.
Kiyozawa: "Well, I guess I'll see you around by the way my name is Kiyozawa."
He smirked darkly at Shigaraki before flapping his wings and soaring upwards through a gap in the collapsing building. He vanished into the night sky without a trace, leaving behind a scene of chaos and destruction. The remaining League of Villains members stared after him in shock and awe, realizing they had just witnessed the true power and unpredictability of Kiyozawa's "quirk". They knew one thing for certain - crossing paths with him again could mean instant death without warning.
Shigaraki stood silently amidst the ruins, surveying the scene with clenched fists and a face contorted with rage. He knelt beside Toga's lifeless body, gently closing her blank stare before turning his attention to the decimated remains of Mr. Compress and Magne. His eyes burned with an intense hatred and determination - Kiyozawa had killed two of his most powerful members and rendered another unconscious with terrifying ease. He swore silently to himself that he would find Kiyozawa and make him pay dearly for what he had done.
