Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Punishment

Overhaul turned on his heel, confident that he had won the mental battle against Zentaro without resorting to violence. He began to walk away, convinced that he had manipulated the Angels Of Slaughter boss into backing down due to their similar appearance. However, as he took his first step away, Zentaro's hand suddenly shot out, gripping the hilt of his sword tightly. With a swift, precise movement, he drew the blade and slashed it across Overhaul's back as a punishment and a silent warning about the consequences of his actions.

Overhaul's eyes widened in shock and pain as he stumbled forward from the unexpected strike. He quickly turned to face Zentaro again, one hand instinctively reaching back to press against the burning wound on his back. Blood seeped through his fingers, confirming that this was no mere scratch but a deep, deliberate cut meant to serve as both punishment and warning.

Overhaul: "You fucking bastard."

He hissed through clenched teeth, though there was an underlying note of respect for Zentaro's action. He had underestimated the man's resilience and moral compass.

Zentaro: "You may look like my son."

He began coldly, his voice echoing through the room with an unshakeable authority.

Zentaro: "But you're still the Hassaikai Boss's son—and as our ally, I have every right to administer punishment for your actions."

He stepped closer to Overhaul, his sword dripping with blood.

Zentaro: "This cut is a reminder that even if you resemble my own flesh and blood, your actions have consequences. And your father's alliance does not protect you from justice."

Overhaul: "But you forgot."

He reminded Zentaro through gritted teeth, his hand pressing firmly against his wounded back.

Overhaul: "I'm the new leader of the Shie Hassaikai now."

Despite the pain radiating through him, Overhaul managed to maintain a semblance of dignity and authority in his voice. The fact that Zentaro had attacked him despite their alliance showed just how dangerous this man could be - even towards supposed allies if he deemed their actions worthy of punishment.

Zentaro: "Don't care."

He snapped, his voice laced with disdain and frustration.

Zentaro: "You're still a brat in my book."

As he spoke, his long black wings unfurled from his back, spreading out dramatically behind him. The sudden growth of his wings signaled an escalation in his anger and intent. Despite recognizing Overhaul's new leadership role within the Shie Hassaikai, Zentaro clearly held no respect for the young man's position or authority.

Zentaro: "New leader or not."

He growled.

Overhaul: "Are you kidding me?"

He exclaimed, his eyes widening in disbelief as Zentaro's wings were unfurled menacingly. He realized with a jolt that the Angels of Slaughter boss was actually considering engaging in a physical fight with him - despite their alliance and Overhaul's recent promotion to Shie Hassaikai leader. Overhaul's hand instinctively moved away from his back wound, readying himself for potential combat while still trying to process this unexpected turn of events.

Zentaro: "Not here."

He snapped, frustration clear in his voice. In a blink of an eye, they were somewhere far away - transported via a teleportation portal courtesy of one of Zentaro's members. The sudden change in location caught Overhaul off guard, and he found himself standing in a vast, empty arena with high walls surrounding them on all sides. The ground was hardened dirt, cracked and dry underfoot. Perfect for a fight without unwanted interruptions or witnesses back at base camp.

Overhaul: "You're actually going to fight me?"

He asked, disbelief and anger mingling in his voice. He stared at Zentaro, taking in the boss's battle-ready stance and the fierce determination in his eyes. Despite knowing full well that Zentaro was a dangerous fighter, Overhaul couldn't believe that he was actually willing to engage in a physical altercation with him - especially considering their allied statuses and Overhaul's recent promotion within Shie Hassaikai.

Overhaul: "Have you lost your fucking mind?"

He added bitterly.

Zentaro: "The Angels of Slaughter were once known as the Death Angels."

He declared proudly, his voice echoing off the arena walls.

Zentaro: "And I am their leader - the King of Death Angels."

Before Overhaul could even process the historical revelation, Zentaro's fist connected with his stomach with lightning speed and incredible force. Overhaul flew backwards through the air, crashing into the dirt wall with a painful grunt before sliding down to the ground. The sheer power behind that punch was a clear warning of Zentaro's combat prowess and centuries of experience.

Overhaul coughed violently, blood and stomach contents mixing with the dirt as he struggled to stand. Zentaro's punch had been incredibly fast and powerful, catching him completely off guard. His internal organs felt like they'd been shaken apart - there was no way he could've reacted in time to block or dodge that attack. As he slowly dragged himself up using the wall for support, he realized something terrifying - Zentaro wasn't just fast because of his power or training. He was fast because he was literally centuries old. Immortal.

Overhaul: "There's no time to heal myself..."

He gasped out as he watched helplessly, his brain processing slower than usual due to the pain and shock. Zentaro's sword sliced cleanly through his arm like butter, severing it completely at the elbow. The limb fell to the ground with a dull thud as blood sprayed from the wound. Overhaul couldn't even focus enough to trigger his healing factor - Zentaro was moving too fast for him to think straight.

Panic rising, Overhaul attempted to fall back on his emotional manipulation tactic.

Overhaul: "Wait! Please!"

He cried out, his remaining hand reaching towards Zentaro in a pleading gesture despite the blood pouring from his severed arm stump. His voice trembled with feigned desperation, hoping to exploit any remaining shred of empathy or hesitation in Zentaro's ancient heart.

Zentaro: "Come closer to me, boy."

He commanded coldly, his eyes glinting with an eerie light as he beckoned Overhaul closer. He had seen through the manipulation attempt immediately - centuries of experience made him immune to such cheap tricks. Zentaro's voice was low and menacing as he stepped forward slowly, sword still gripped tightly in his hand. He was giving Overhaul exactly what he wanted - an opening. But it was a trap.

Overhaul: "No! I'm going closer - you're planning on killing me!"

He shouted, his voice cracking with fear as he stumbled backwards away from Zentaro. The ancient Yakuza leader cold command had revealed the truth behind his words - he wasn't offering mercy or a chance to heal; he was luring Overhaul in for a fatal blow. Panic surged through Overhaul's mind as he realized his emotional manipulation had failed miserably against this immortal being.

Zentaro sighed heavily, lowering his sword slowly.

Zentaro: "I guess I won't kill you."

He admitted gruffly, clearly disappointed that he couldn't punish Overhaul more severely for his crimes.

Zentaro: "But you have to undo what you've done. Stop those disgusting experiments on Eri immediately and use your damn healing factor to bring your father back from that coma."

His voice was stern and commanding, leaving no room for argument.

Overhaul used his other hand in order to start the healing factor of his quirk activated immediately, his severed arm regenerating within seconds as he nodded eagerly to Zentaro.

Overhaul: "Yes, yes I will!"

He promised quickly, his voice dripping with false sincerity. But deep down, he had no intention of stopping his experiments on Eri or healing his father - this was merely a temporary truce to buy himself time and escape Zentaro's wrath. He would find another way to achieve his goals without interference.

Zentaro: "Oh, and one more thing, boy."

He added sharply, grabbing Overhaul's shoulder firmly with one hand while the other raised slowly as if preparing another deadly strike. His dark eyes pierced through Overhaul's deceptive facade like knives through butter - there was no doubt that this immortal being could see right through his lies if given enough time or reason to suspect them further.

Zentaro: "If I find out that you're lying..."

He leaned in closer menacingly.

Zentaro: "I will end you myself."

Overhaul: "I understand."

He replied calmly, his face remaining impassive despite the threat hanging heavy in the air. He knew full well that Zentaro was not making idle threats - this ancient Yakuza had proven his deadly intent time and time again throughout their short but brutal confrontation. Overhaul simply nodded, pretending to accept the conditions laid out before him. In reality, he was already planning his next move, searching for an opening or opportunity to continue his twisted plans without interference from this powerful enemy.

Zentaro: "Good boy."

He murmured, his hand moving from Overhaul's shoulder to gently pat his head. The action was almost fatherly, a stark contrast to the deadly seriousness of their previous interactions. Overhaul stiffened slightly at the touch but managed to keep a neutral expression - he hated being treated like a child or pet but knew better than to react negatively towards Zentaro right now. Zentaro seemed genuinely pleased with Overhaul's apparent compliance. Little did he know it was all an act.

In a blink of an eye, they were back at the Shie Hassaikai base - Zentaro's members teleportation abilities proving incredibly useful and deadly in equal measure. Overhaul stumbled slightly as they appeared, disoriented by the sudden change in location. He hadn't expected Zentaro to accompany him back so quickly or personally inspect his father's healing process. This development threw another wrench into Overhaul's carefully crafted plans and lies.

Overhaul: "You're going to watch me?"

He asked, trying to keep his voice steady despite the sudden surge of anxiety. He turned to face Zentaro, his eyes widening slightly as he realized Zentaro intended to observe him healing his father firsthand. This unexpected development would make it even more difficult for Overhaul to fake the healing process or delay it indefinitely as he had originally planned. Zentaro simply nodded firmly, his expression serious and skeptical.

Overhaul: "Okay..."

He whispered, his voice trembling slightly as he activated his healing quirk once more - this time directed towards healing Hassaikai Boss. Zentaro watched closely beside him watching carefully every movement Overhaul made ensuring no tricks were played during this crucial moment where truth would reveal itself whether Overhaul truly intended to heal or not.. Slowly but surely signs showed Boss starting to recover thanks to Overhauls power.. But something felt off about the whole situation..

Overhaul: "How long are you going to stay?"

He asked, trying to gauge Zentaro's intentions while keeping his healing quirk active on the boss. He needed to know how much time he had before Zentaro left - every second counted towards buying more time for his own plans and covering up any potential lies or manipulations he might employ later.. Zentaro crossed his arms over his chest thoughtfully before responding..

Zentaro: "Until I'm satisfied that your father is fully healed."

His tone left no room for argument or negotiation.. He wasn't leaving anytime soon..

Overhaul's frown deepened as he realized his plan was unraveling before his eyes. With Zentaro determined to stay until the boss was completely healed, there would be no opportunity for Overhaul to continue his experiments on Eri or manipulate the healing process for his own gain. He needed to find a way out of this situation - and fast. As he continued healing the boss, his mind raced with possibilities and potential escape routes. But one thing was clear: he couldn't afford any mistakes right now. Zentaro's keen eye missed nothing.

Desperate to regain control, Overhaul took a risky chance - his hand shot out towards Zentaro's chest, intending to use his disassembly quirk to incapacitate him. But Zentaro was lightning-fast - he dodged the attack easily with centuries of experience behind him. In an instant, Overhaul found himself slammed against the wall, Zentaro's strong arm pinning his own arm above his head while the other pressed heavily against his chest - trapping him completely.

Overhaul: "I'm sorry..."

He gasped out, trembling beneath Zentaro's iron grip. The apology was more out of instinct than genuine remorse - he knew he had been caught red-handed trying to attack an ally. Zentaro's face was inches away from his, those ancient eyes burning with anger and betrayal as he realized the true extent of Overhaul's deception and disloyalty. Overhaul could feel the heat of Zentaro's breath against his skin, the weight of centuries-old rage pressing down upon him like a physical force.

Zentaro: "Does your father ever use physical punishment on you?"

He asked coldly, his voice low and menacing as he held Overhaul pinned against the wall. The question caught Overhaul off guard - he hadn't expected Zentaro to bring up his personal life or family dynamics in this moment of confrontation. For a split second, Overhaul's mind flashed back to the countless beatings and cruelties inflicted upon him by his father throughout his childhood. But he quickly composed himself, knowing better than to reveal such vulnerabilities to this dangerous enemy.

Zentaro: "It seems it wasn't enough."

He muttered darkly, releasing Overhaul's arm only to quickly grab both of his wrists in one powerful hand. Without warning, he pulled Overhaul down onto his lap, positioning him face-down over his strong thighs. The realization of what was about to happen hit Overhaul like a ton of bricks - Zentaro intended to spank him like a disobedient child. His eyes widened in shock and humiliation as he struggled futilely against the ancient warrior's iron grip.

Overhaul: "Let me go!"

Zentaro: "Your father should have shown you more discipline."

He said coldly, his hand cracking down hard across Overhaul's behind with a loud smack. Zentaro wasn't holding back - he spanked Overhaul like he was a wayward child who needed correcting. Overhaul yelped in shock and pain, his body jerking forward with the impact. Zentaro merely grunted, grabbing Overhaul's hair to pull his head back and prevent him from escaping the punishment.

Zentaro: "You clearly need it."

Overhaul: "Okay, okay! I'll heal him!"

He shouted in desperation, hoping to avoid further punishment. His behind burned with pain where Zentaro's hand had connected. He knew he couldn't take much more of this humiliating treatment - not from someone as powerful and experienced as Zentaro. Zentaro paused momentarily at Overhaul's outburst, his hand hovering above Overhaul's reddened skin. After a tense moment, he released Overhaul's hair and nodded sharply.

Zentaro: "Then do it."

Overhaul sighed, realizing there was no escaping Zentaro's punishment now. As he began to reach towards his comatose father, the door suddenly opened behind them. Kiyozawa stepped into the room, pausing briefly as he took in the scene before him - Zentaro seated with Overhaul draped face-down over his lap like a naughty child getting spanked. A flicker of confusion crossed Kiyozawa's face before he spoke softly.

Kiyozawa: "I thought I sensed my father in this area..."

Overhaul's eyes widened in shock and concern as he took in Kiyozawa's blood-covered state. It was clear that the meeting with the League of Villains had not gone as planned - Kiyozawa looked like he'd been through a battle. Zentaro's head snapped towards his son, his expression darkening immediately.

Zentaro: "Kiyozawa!"

He barked sharply, rising to his feet and pulling Overhaul up with him roughly.

Zentaro: "What happened?"

His concern for his son momentarily overshadowed his anger towards Overhaul.

Kiyozawa: "I was doing a favor."

He explained, gesturing towards Overhaul with a bloody hand. His voice was tired and strained, hinting at the intensity of whatever battle he had just escaped.

Zentaro's gaze flicked between his son and Overhaul, suspicion and anger warring in his eyes.

Zentaro: "What kind of favor?"

He demanded, his tone dangerously low. Before either of them could answer, he grabbed Overhaul by the collar roughly, pulling him closer to Kiyozawa.

Zentaro: "You two were working together?"

Overhaul: "I just wanted to know what he could do."

He admitted quickly, his eyes darting between Kiyozawa and Zentaro nervously.

Overhaul: "In return, I look after the pug Ruby."

Zentaro's grip on Overhaul's collar tightened slightly as he processed this information - Overhaul had been testing Kiyozawa's abilities while taking care of Ruby? His expression darkened further, clearly displeased with this arrangement between his son and Overhaul.

Zentaro: "You used my son for your experiments?"

He growled menacingly.

Overhaul: "I just wanted to know how he would handle it in a meeting..."

He trailed off, realizing too late that his words might make him sound even more manipulative and calculating. Zentaro's eyes narrowed dangerously as he released Overhaul's collar abruptly, taking a step back as if trying to physically distance himself from the corrupting influence of Overhaul's schemes.

Zentaro: "And you."

He turned to face Kiyozawa fully now.

Zentaro: "You went along with this nonsense?"

His voice was laced with disappointment and anger.

Kiyozawa: "Sorry father."

He muttered apologetically, his head bowed slightly in shame.

Kiyozawa: "At the moment it felt like I had to do it - for the sake of the Yakuza family alliance."

His response only seemed to fuel Zentaro's anger further - his son had been manipulated by Overhaul into putting himself in harm's way for dangerous potential to gain. Zentaro turned back to Overhaul slowly, his face contorted with rage and betrayal.

Zentaro: "I see."

He said coldly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Kiyozawa: "Wait, don't hurt him."

He intervened quickly, stepping between Overhaul and Zentaro protectively.

Kiyozawa: "He's still in our alliance. If you hurt him, it could jeopardize our relationships with the other Yakuza families."

His words were careful and diplomatic, trying to prevent Zentaro from losing control of his anger and doing something drastic that could ruin their political standing. Zentaro's hand clenched into a fist at his side, clearly struggling with his desire to punish Overhaul severely.

Kiyozawa: "I've fucked up many times throughout my life and yet you forgive me."

He pleaded softly, his eyes filled with genuine remorse as he looked at his father.

Kiyozawa: "So please... let this go."

His words seemed to pierce through Zentaro's anger like an arrow - reminding him of all the times he had shown mercy towards Kiyozawa despite his mistakes. Zentaro's expression softened slightly at the remainder of their bond - father and son who had weathered storms together before this one storm named Overhaul..

Zentaro: "Fine."
