Chapter 1 - Prologue | I Reincarnated Into Qnother World!?

My name is Arita. I'm 25 years old.

An ordinary office worker, a failure in love, and even… a failure in life?!

And strangely enough, it all started with a cat.

The clock showed 12 noon when I saw a cat walking leisurely in the middle of the city street. On the other side, there was a huge truck speeding toward it. Without thinking twice, I immediately ran as fast as I could into the street and jumped, trying to grab the cat while shouting, "NOOO LITTLE CAAAT!"

The truck managed to brake just in time. The cat was safe.

Unfortunately, I wasn't.

My head hit the asphalt hard and… yeah, I died.

When I opened my eyes again, I was already above the sky, surrounded by countless clouds. In front of me stood someone clad entirely in blinding white.

"Welcome to the realm of human death," he said cheerfully.

"WHAT?! SO I'M ALREADY DEAD?!"

"Eh, don't shout like that. According to my data, you died trying to save a cat that was about to be hit by a truck. But… the truck would've stopped before hitting it."

I froze. "So... I died stupidly?"

"Yep," he replied with a smile.

"DAMN IT!"

"I told you, don't shout. But since you died with good intentions, I'll reincarnate your soul into another world as a reward."

I looked at him, confused. "Another world? You mean… isekai? And who are you, exactly? A god?"

He walked around me casually. "Correct. I'm one of the gods who guard the boundary of the world of death. My duty is to birth and purify the souls of living beings. The other world I'm talking about is a world different from Earth. This universe is vast, with uncountable worlds. I'll send you to a world called Norval — a world that has magic systems, skills, and various races."

I swallowed hard. So… this universe really has countless worlds? And he's just 'one' of many gods? I decided not to ask further.

"If I can choose," I said, "I want to be placed in a quiet and peaceful forest."

"Oh? A simple wish. Very well."

He smiled, thinking for a moment. "I'll transfer you to a suitable place. Your new body will be that of a 19-year-old, your memories will remain intact, and you'll receive several innate skills as well as a Core of Mana within your body so you can use magic and skills. Congratulations on your rebirth in a new world!"

A light appeared beneath my feet, swallowing my body. I panicked.

"HEY, BEFORE I'M SENT AWAY, WHAT SKILL DO I HAVE?!"

He smiled faintly. "[ Unique Skill: 'Eye of Genesis' ]. The rest, find out for yourself."

My body vanished completely.

When I opened my eyes again, I was in the middle of a dense forest. Birds were chirping, the wind gently rustled the leaves above me.

"Argh... that damn god! Just sending people around like it's nothing! He didn't even finish answering my last question."

I stood up slowly and looked around. Towering trees, cool air, and… wait.

"Eh? Is that a house?!"

Sure enough, in the distance stood a small wooden-fenced house. I walked closer, mumbling, "Wow, he even gave me a house. Nice, I don't have to bother chopping trees."

When I entered, the house felt warm and peaceful. There was a living room in the center, a kitchen on the left filled with supplies — meat, vegetables, fruits — and a small bathroom in the corner. On the right side was the main bedroom, spacious enough, even the bed could fit two people.

In the living room, I found a thick book titled Basic Knowledge for Reincarnators.

"Ah... this is the peaceful life I wanted. No money worries, no part-time jobs."

I slowly opened Basic Knowledge for Reincarnators and began reading page after page.

Then I remembered the god's words.

"Core of Mana, huh? According to this book, it's an energy crystal inside a living being's body. With it, humans or even other creatures can manipulate magic or skills."

"Hmm… I have a Core of Mana, but how do I use it? And my innate skill… [ Unique Skill: 'Eye of Genesis' ] ??"

I stared blankly.

"If it's called 'Eye,' then it must have something to do with vision, right?"

I tried to focus. Staring sharply into the air, concentrating my thoughts… and suddenly, I saw something shimmering in the air.

"Eh?! What's that? It's beautiful..."

Tiny fragments of multicolored light danced around in the air. I tried to grab them, but my hand passed right through.

I tried all sorts of ridiculous things — glaring, rolling my eyes, blinking rapidly — but nothing worked. Until I thought, "If this is some sort of analysis eye… maybe it can analyze objects?"

I looked at the table in front of me, thinking analyze, and… boom. Data appeared in my mind.

"Whoa! So it really can analyze things just by intention?"

[ Rare Skill 'Information Analysis' ] has been acquired.

[ Rare Skill 'Enchanted Eye' ] has been acquired.

Suddenly, I gained two Rare Skills. Now I roughly understood how to obtain and use skills.

If I thought of "analyze," my eyes would instantly scan the object I looked at.

"A bit complicated, but pretty cool. I can also see farther than before — my vision's sharper. That must be thanks to [ Rare Skill 'Enchanted Eye' ]."

I yawned. "It's already night. I'll learn magic tomorrow."

I lay down on the soft bed, and before I knew it, I was asleep with a small smile on my face.

Meanwhile, in the white room where radiant beings gathered, heated voices echoed.

"Guardian God of the World of Death! You reincarnated another being?!"

"Yes, and what's wrong with that? If their soul is pure and well-intentioned, why not?"

"Because it violates the law of nature!" shouted one of the massive glowing beings. "We've already reincarnated too many souls into other worlds. The balance of existence could collapse!"

The radiant god who reincarnated Arita just shrugged. "Relax. This time is different. That human… is unique. I think she can achieve something great."

The massive being sighed heavily. "Let's hope so. Because every being you've transferred before has ended in chaos."

One by one, they disappeared, leaving the god alone.

He smiled faintly, gazing at Arita's reincarnation data glowing in his hand.

"A unique human, huh? We'll see..."

This is the beginning of the journey of a woman named Arita who died foolishly and was reincarnated into another world.
