CHAPTER 15 — DEREK'S REVENGE
Derek entered his apartment and quietly closed the door behind him.
He took a few steps forward before stopping.
Something was wrong.
His apartment had been searched.
Drawers were open, his belongings were scattered across the floor, and several valuable items were missing.
Derek stared at the mess.
Derek: "They robbed me…"
He slowly looked around the room.
Derek: "After everything I've worked for."
His expression became cold.
Derek walked over to the table and picked up one of the few things the robbers had left behind.
Derek: "They probably think they're safe now."
He dropped the object back onto the table.
A strange thought crossed his mind.
Derek knew exactly how his ability worked.
If he experienced an injury, he could transfer its effects onto another person.
Derek smiled.
Derek: "Let's see how much they can handle."
He activated his ability.
The process was quick and deliberate, and Derek endured the pain without showing fear. He wasn't doing it because he wanted to die.
He wanted revenge.
Derek focused on the robbers.
Derek: "You wanted to steal from me?"
His eyes narrowed.
Derek: "Then you can take the consequences too."
The supernatural connection activated.
Across the city, the robbers suddenly felt the effects of Derek's ability.
Robber 1: "What the hell?!"
Robber 2: "Something's happening to me!"
The men panicked.
They had no idea what was happening or how Derek was doing it.
Back at the apartment, Derek remained standing.
He looked at the destruction around him.
Derek: "That's what you get."
He walked over to the window and looked out at the city.
There was no guilt on his face.
Only satisfaction.
Derek: "Next time…"
He smiled coldly.
Derek: "Don't steal from me."
