Chapter 111 - Professional

Putting away the letter, Lex tapped the bar: "Mr. Parker, can our club provide identity documents?"

He wanted to rent one or two houses as safe houses first, and he could even set them up as traps. If someone was tracking him, he could use the safe houses to hide or counter-kill.

The old man nodded: "What kind of identity document do you want? Do you need a civilian, a social elite, a rich person, or a kingdom noble?"

Lex was stunned for a moment: "The club can provide so many types of identity documents?"

"We provide professional services for Hunters, and pursuing quality is our service tenet."

Mr. Parker said methodically: "It's just that the price of each identity is different. Taking a civilian as an example, a simple identity document only costs 5 soli. But if you need family cover, we can find widows, street girls, and orphans to play your family members, but they need to be charged daily."

"And if it's a social elite, the identity document will be a bit more expensive, costing 5 pounds. But it's worth it, because what we give you is not an empty shell identity. You will be an employee of a company in the city that has good income. There will even be your detailed file in that company. Of course, you are just a nominal employee, and you will not receive a salary from that company."

It's really professional.

Lex asked casually: "Can you even forge the identities of rich people and kingdom nobles?"

The old man lowered his eyelids and glanced at him: "That depends on how much you are willing to pay."

"If you are willing to pay a high price, we can rent you a mansion, a carriage, a butler, and servants. If you are willing to invest more, we can even help you acquire or establish a company as your background."

"As for kingdom nobles, we can only provide forged identities, and we can do nothing about the background. But usually, no one pretends to be a noble."

I think so too.

Lex thought for a while and finally decided: "Help me forge a social elite identity document."

Mr. Parker readily agreed: "No problem, do you need 'family'?"

Lex quickly shook his head: "No, thank you."

"Then, please give me a 2-pound deposit. The identity document can be given to you within two days, and the detailed company file will also be completed within a week."

Lex directly pulled out a 5-pound banknote: "I believe it can be faster."

The old man took the money and threw it into the drawer: "Tomorrow night, no faster."

Lex smiled and nodded, then asked: "There won't be a new commission in your notebook, will there?"

Mr. Parker shook his head and said: "You are the most active Hunter I have ever seen. Usually, a guy like you who has just finished a big order will not take another order until the bounty is spent."

"Yes, there is one."

"Only Hunters above Level 7 can handle it."

He didn't even look at the notebook, and said from memory: "This is a spice merchant's commission. Two days ago, a batch of his goods was robbed while being loaded and unloaded in the Dock Area. He is eager to find this batch of spices, as he invested almost his entire fortune in it."

"If he can't find it, he can only declare bankruptcy. He has already reported the case to the Police Station. If the police find the spices first, he will cancel the commission here."

"Well, he is willing to offer a 1000-pound bounty if anyone can help him find the goods. And even providing clues, as long as they are proven useful, will result in a reward ranging from 50 to 200 pounds."

Lex remembered the content of the commission and left the bar. He looked around the hall and finally his gaze fell on Grey Bear's table.

Walking over, Lex sat down next to Nafi, leaned slightly, and lowered his voice: "There's a commission..."

"Okay, I'm in!" The tall, beautiful girl Nafi was the first to exclaim.

Immediately after, Grey Bear and Mole also expressed their stance: "Boss Duke, who is so unlucky this time to enter your Dharma Eye?"

"Do you need to recruit people? I can introduce some, they are all good workers."

Wait, what's wrong with you guys, I haven't even said what I'm going to do yet.

Perhaps it was because the last commission to encircle and suppress the Sea Serpent Gang was completed smoothly, and everyone received generous rewards. So this time, as soon as Lex indicated that he had accepted a commission, these people rushed to express their willingness to join.

So Lex asked Mole to go inquire about the news first, set the time and place for the meeting, and then left the club.

This didn't seem like a big event, so he didn't plan to add more people. If there was indeed a need, he would consider it separately.

The next morning, Lex met with former Hunter Kyle, first bought him a formal suit, and then took him to the company introduced by Maggio, the banker's assistant.

After an advance payment, the company manager stated that they would draft a contract with the Pigeon Telegraph Company as soon as possible based on the information provided by Lex, conduct a risk assessment within a day or two, and provide lawyers throughout the process to assist Lex and Kyle.

After leaving, Lex took Kyle to a bookstore to buy some business-related books for Kyle to read, in order to enrich the 'agent' persona.

Upon returning to the hotel, Lex then had his valet visit Luke Bruce, a shareholder of the telegraph company, to schedule a meeting time and place to introduce Kyle to him.

Everything was proceeding in an orderly manner.

In the evening, Lex arrived at the Evil Dragon Bar in the Dock Area, sat on a high stool at the bar, and ordered a Nanville Beer.

The others hadn't arrived yet, so he drank his beer and observed his surroundings.

He suddenly saw an elderly man, wearing a naval officer's uniform, holding a wine goblet, talking to an old man with gray hair and a classical black robe.

The old man in the black robe inadvertently looked over, which allowed Lex to see that the old man's eye corners and mouth had deep wrinkles, and his slightly cloudy dark red eyes showed fatigue, as if he had spent a lot of effort on something.

The two old men quickly went into a billiards room, seemingly heading to the underground market in the back.

"The one in the officer's uniform is the bar owner."

Mole's voice sounded beside him: "This old fellow is not simple. He used to be an official, but now, he's just an old man who likes to drink heavily."

"But even so, no one dares to challenge Swain's authority in the Evil Dragon Bar."

Lex turned his head. Nafi and Grey Bear had also arrived. Nafi was wearing her waist-length cloak again, and a steam gun and its kit, covered with burlap, were at Grey Bear's feet.

"Any news?" Lex called the barman and ordered a beer for each of the three.

Mole took the beer, took a sip, and said: "It was Maggie 'Princess' and her group who did it."

The beer Lex had brought to his lips remained un-drunk: "Princess? A princess from what country would engage in such a business as looting goods?
