Chapter 162 - Self-Hypnosis

When Hudson saw the white light rising in the room, a bad feeling suddenly welled up in him, but instead of running downstairs, he rushed forward and reached out to grab the nearest Gang member.

Just then, the flame of a candle in the corridor suddenly shot up, and a figure walked out of the flame.

Hudson didn't see what happened next, but his spiritual intuition was touched. He was agile, unlike a fat man, and rolled towards several Gang members with his head in his arms.

But he still heard gunshots and felt a sharp pain in his right shoulder, which made his face change. He let out a muffled groan.

At this point.

He knew he had fallen into a trap.

That woman wasn't in the house at all.

Someone else was in this house today!

The Gang members who also heard the gunshots turned around one after another and saw a man wearing a half-mask. He was wearing a thin, long trench coat with many pockets. Inside the trench coat was a transparent black shirt that looked like it was made of lace, very flamboyant.

And whether it was the trench coat or the shirt underneath, the man had them open, revealing his well-proportioned and well-defined body.

If there were noble ladies or Young Misses here, they might scream and go crazy for this man. Unfortunately, everyone here was a man. Not only would they not scream, but they would also wish they could kill this man, after all, compared to him, their figures were not so graceful, and their muscles were somewhat flabby.

So, these Gang members quickly opened fire on the man, seven or eight revolvers, firing yellow bullets, all hitting the man.

But the man's figure suddenly became thin, then appeared on the other side of the corridor, raising a very ornate crimson revolver and firing continuously.

Several Gang members were hit one after another, some dying on the spot, and others seriously injured and unable to stand.

Suddenly, only the few people Hudson brought who had just rushed into the room were left. But those people's eyes were stimulated by the sudden bright light in the room, and now they were covering their eyes, groping and bumping around like blind people.

Hudson, as soon as the Gang members started shooting, desperately rushed towards the window, and then, not at all afraid that it was the second floor, his fat body crashed out.

But as soon as he crashed out of the window, he was stunned to find that a large net had fallen outside the house at some point. He had crashed out of the window, but he was entangled in the net.

In his haste, he looked back and saw the masked man, who was so flamboyant he could die, walking over and raising his pistol.

Hudson unhesitatingly used the Charms he had prepared earlier. His figure suddenly disappeared, and the bullets flying from behind only hit the air.

On the roadside, the flame in a street lamp's shade suddenly rose, the shade shattered, and Hudson's figure leaped out of the flame, falling to the ground.

He frantically got up and ran towards the west side of Red Moon Street.

By the time the man in the house ran onto the street, Hudson had already disappeared into the night streets.

"Just a little bit more."

Lex said bitterly.

Hudson's cunning was beyond his expectation.

Today, in Mr. Parker's house, Lex had made many arrangements.

The wires tied to the windows were Lex's alarm mechanism. Once someone broke in and opened the window, it would inevitably pull the wire, causing the bell in the corner to ring.

Although the bell's sound was not loud, with a hunter's hearing, Lex could easily detect it. The reason for this arrangement was to prevent Hudson from noticing that Nafi was not in the house, so Lex drew the study curtains.

However, this way, he couldn't see the outside scene, so he needed an alarm mechanism.

But Lex didn't expect Hudson to hire Gang members as accomplices. Originally, his flash Charms was prepared for Hudson.

But it ended up benefiting those Gang members.

However, Lex had other arrangements. The candles placed around the house provided the conditions for casting 'Flame Jump'.

Lex used this ability to successfully reach the corridor and shot Hudson.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a headshot.

Later, Hudson escaped in the chaos, and Lex had foreseen this, so he had prepared several large nets outside the house. With a small mechanism, when Hudson and his men broke in, Lex cast these large nets, and as he expected, Hudson broke out of the window but was entangled in the net.

But he didn't expect Hudson to have a method similar to 'Flame Jump', allowing him to successfully break free and escape the scene.

Should he just let him go?

After Hudson suffered a loss, even if he was a perfectionist, he would definitely not stay in Tingen, or he would directly surrender to the authorities.

If he missed this opportunity, he would basically have no chance to avenge Grizzly and the others.

Suddenly.

Lex remembered that a few drops of blood had spilled on the second-floor corridor after Hudson was shot. He quickly returned to the second floor and found Hudson's previous position.

Fortunately, no other Gang members were shot here, otherwise, if the blood was mixed together, his next method would probably not work.

The night was quiet, and the red moon hung high.

Hudson, panting, slipped into a warehouse. This was an abandoned warehouse in the Dock Area. After entering, Hudson found a wooden box and sat down.

He wanted to take off his jacket to check the wound, but the gunshot wound was on his back. Hudson only took off one sleeve, and the pain made him sweat profusely.

"Damn it, what kind of Beyonder is that guy?"

"He can Flame Jump, could he be a Magician?"

Hudson groaned and completely took off his inconvenient formal wear, throwing it on the ground.

He felt both of his pants pockets, each containing an item.

They were the 'Delusion Pipe' and Hudson's last trump card.

Hudson touched a tin box containing his trump card, then took out the 'Delusion Pipe'. He fumbled around on himself and pulled out a box of matches.

A moment later, a flame lit up in the pipe, and blue smoke diffused.

Hudson muttered to himself: "From now until morning, I will have abundant physical strength. I will not fear pain. I will have the courage and confidence to face all troubles."

"Until the sun rises tomorrow morning and I see the first ray of sunlight, I will only then remember that I never possessed these things."

After speaking, Hudson put the pipe to his mouth, took a deep puff, and then exhaled a cloud of smoke from his mouth.

He leaned in, closed his eyes, and vigorously inhaled the smoke.

Then he started coughing.

But after coughing, he suddenly stood up, as if he had forgotten the gunshot wound on his back, as if he had endless strength throughout his body.

But just then, balls of fire were thrown in from outside the window; they were wine bottles with flames burning at their mouths.

They were scattered around the warehouse, around Hudson, and the firelight illuminated his face and his dignified gray beard.

Suddenly, one of the flames shot up, and a figure in a trench coat leaped out of the flame. The moment it leaped out, black fur quickly grew all over its body, and its pupils narrowed, like some kind of wild beast.

Its fingers elongated and turned black-green, like poisoned daggers!

A buzzing sound rang in Hudson's mind.

That bastard isn't a Magician?

He's a Werewolf!
