Chapter 205 - Six Families

Lex's breathing hitched slightly. The Tudor Empire was established in the Fourth Epoch, a colossal entity that once ruled the North Continent, as mentioned by the Watchers in previous information.

The Watchers had also said that his mother's teacher, who was from the Abraham Family, was once one of the prominent families of the Tudor Empire, and ranked highly.

Given this, it was quite normal for his mother, as a student of the Abraham Family, to know about the Tudor Empire's information regarding those great families.

Suddenly, Lex developed a strong interest in this notebook. He simply put down the book he had chosen, picked up the notebook, and began to read it intently.

"The Antigonus family controls the Seer pathway. Teacher said they might be descendants of an ancient god, which is truly terrifying. No wonder this Family became a great noble of the Tudor Empire."

"However, this Family is currently heading towards extinction. The reason for their decline seems to be related to the Church, but Teacher didn't say which Church. From this, it's clear that many terrifying facts must be hidden beneath the Mist of history."

So the Antigonus family were also descendants of an ancient god. No wonder the Secret Order has been searching for this Family's relics. I originally thought it was just because of the 'Seer' pathway, but now it seems it's not that simple.

As descendants of an ancient god, the Antigonus family's relics must contain some important information. For example, the secrets of the ancient god, or undiscovered Treasure Troves left behind?

I like the word 'Treasure Trove'.

"Regarding the Jacob Family, Teacher was vague, as if he didn't know much about this Family either. It is said that this Family controls the Error pathway, and the starting Sequence of this pathway is 'Thief'. This pathway is described as having incredible abilities."

"According to the records of Teacher's Family, the ancestors of the Jacob Family once came into contact with some ancient item, but later, this ancestor died mysteriously. Afterward, the Jacob Family was hunted by certain individuals or forces. Teacher said they feared being uprooted and ultimately decided that the entire Family would disperse into small, unconnected families."

"As for their current situation, Teacher's Family is also unaware. It's truly terrifying; to force such a great Family to almost disintegrate must have been done by a very terrifying, great figure."

Uh, I haven't heard of this Family. But to be on par with the Antigonus family, they must not be simple. Even such great nobles eventually declined and were forced to disintegrate. The individuals or forces that caused this situation, as his mother said, are very terrifying.

Lex turned to a new page.

"The Tudor Family once pledged allegiance to the Solomon Empire, but later betrayed this Empire, and with the support of various parties, established the later Tudor Empire."

"This Family controls the Black Emperor pathway, and their Family crest is a hand holding a scepter. Teacher said that a subtle madness lurks in the Bloodline of every member of this Family. They are usually cunning, cautious, and careful, but at critical moments, they are prone to acting rashly and disregarding consequences."

"After the Blood Emperor's death, this Family also went into decline, but even so, the descendants of this Family are still secretly searching for some secret ruins. No one knows if they ultimately succeeded."

"As for Teacher's Family, the Abraham, Teacher always had a proud smile on his face when talking about his own Family. He once proudly said that his Family was once ranked first among the great nobles of the Tudor Empire."

"Yet, in some dark days, he also lamented that their Family was cursed, and no one could advance to a demigod, leading to their decline. To escape certain disasters, they, like the Jacob Family, split into small families scattered across various regions, but they still had an Elder Council, though the Elder Council's control over Family members was very low."

"As one of the Elders of this Family, Teacher was very aware of this, and often felt pain because of it."

"He said that a large number of clansmen, to avoid the curse, were unwilling to advance, always remaining at Sequence 8 or Sequence 9. Some even refused to become a Beyonder, preferring to live a peaceful life as ordinary people."

"To prevent this Family from completely dying out, they attempted reforms. They began to cultivate non-Family members like me through a master-apprentice Legacy system."

"But in the past, due to the betrayal of some students, a major disaster occurred in this Family. In that disaster, many of Teacher's friends died, and many powerful Sealed Artifacts were lost."

"After the disaster, although Teacher and the others re-established the Elder Council, they had already lost confidence. Teacher often told me that this Family might not last much longer."

"In his eyes, in his words, I could feel deep despair."

"It's worth noting that the one who brought disaster to Teacher's Family was a traitor named Butis. He was a Sequence 5 'Traveler' who joined the Aurora Order, which then triggered the disaster."

Hmm, the situation of Abraham is similar to the information the Watchers told me, but his mother's notes are more detailed.

Because of the curse, the direct members of Abraham dared not advance to demigod, while students like his mother were already Sequence 6, and the student who betrayed Abraham was even Sequence 5.

This led to a problem.

Lex whispered, "The main trunk is too weak, and the branches are too strong. Sooner or later, this will inevitably lead to backlash, which is not difficult to foresee."

"However, it was the Aurora Order that brought disaster to Abraham. That is an organization full of madmen. So, have the Sealed Artifacts lost by Abraham been acquired by the Aurora Order?"

"Those madmen will probably do even more terrifying things because of this."

"The Abraham Family is truly tragic. Despite having such a glorious past, they have fallen to this state because of a curse."

He shook his head and turned to the last page of the notebook.

"Besides the families mentioned earlier, Teacher also mentioned that there was another Family in the Tudor Empire that could not be ignored. This was a Family full of taboo connotations. Teacher was even unwilling to tell me the name of that Family."

"He only told me that it was a Blasphemer Family. Although that Family is now out of contact, Teacher believes that members of this Family must still be in the world."

"I was very curious about what a Blasphemer Family was, and on what basis Teacher believed that this Family had not truly perished. But Teacher never answered these questions directly."

A Blasphemer Family?

Just hearing it, you know it's not a good kind. I didn't expect that during the Tudor Empire era, there was such a mysterious Family, so mysterious that even Abraham was unwilling to mention them.

Or, dared not mention them?
