Chapter 420 - Sonia Island

Golden Dream.

"My name is Harry Parker."

In the Captain's Cabin, after soaking in the November Sea water for a while, even with his hands rubbing the rim of the teacup, the brown-haired, brown-eyed, youthful young man was still trembling all over.

"I run a watch shop in Grand Town on Sonia Island. If you need watches repaired, I can help. My craftsmanship is quite good; my neighbors all trust me."

The shy young man looked around at the people with some trepidation, then looked pleadingly at the beautiful and intelligent Edwina: "Madam, may I ask if you can send me home?"

Jodeson stepped forward, revealing a charming smile: "That is exactly what we intend to do, but as it's getting late, we can probably only send you back tomorrow."

"However, we have a question."

'Flower Bowtie' glanced at Iceberg Admiral, and seeing her slightly nod, he then asked: "Mr. Harry, if you are a watchmaker, then I am very curious, where did your runic dagger come from?"

Harry Parker moved back slightly, looking a bit nervous, then said: "It was given to me by a gentleman. He came from who knows where and collapsed near my watch shop."

"I saved him, and he gave me this knife, saying I could sell it if I needed money urgently. It could sell for at least 400 pounds."

"He told me what the knife did, what its shortcomings were, and instructed me that it could only be sold at gatherings similar to the one before."

"Then he definitely didn't remind you not to sell it at a pirate gathering," Lex said, touching his nose. "What is that gentleman's name, and is he still in Grand Town?"

"Yes, he seems to plan to live in the Town for a long time, but he is often not home," Harry whispered.

Edwina finally spoke: "We saved you. Can you help us contact that gentleman and ask him to help craft an item?"

Harry said with a troubled expression: "I can try, but I'm not sure I'll succeed."

Iceberg Admiral nodded gently and looked at Lex again: "Didn't you want a revolver? Then, you can send Mr. Harry back tomorrow. However, to craft a magical item, you need beyonder characteristics."

"If you don't have any, you can tell me."

"Understood, Captain."

Lex nodded in agreement. He then thought that the Hanged Man's informant was also in Grand Town on Sonia Island, which was perfect for inquiring about Morse Abraham.

After the watchmaker was temporarily settled, Lex returned to his room and carefully considered which beyonder characteristics to use.

Besides the Spirit Medium, which he had already sold to Alger, he still had several beyonder characteristics left, such as 'Clown' and 'Serial Killer'.

However, the only higher Sequence ones were an incomplete Gatekeeper characteristic and a Sequence 6 'Demon'.

A revolver crafted from low-Sequence beyonder characteristics would probably be less powerful than the Blood Praise he already had, and with the limited number of dimensional crystals, Lex didn't want to waste resources on low-Sequence items.

The Gatekeeper characteristic had the highest Sequence, but it was incomplete, so an item crafted from it would likely only have one ability.

After much consideration, Lex still took out the 'Demon' beyonder characteristics from the spirit world treasure chest.

The next day.

On the Sea, some distance from Sonia Island, the Golden Dream lowered a fishing boat, and Lex and the watchmaker came to the ship's side.

"We will stay here for a while. According to the riddle's hint, the 'correct time' is the middle of each month, so there's no need to rush for now."

Edwina, who had changed back into her original attire, took out 'Valen's compass', gently stroking its golden casing, and said: "We will go ashore a day or two later. We need to make some arrangements. We'll meet in Grand Town then."

"Okay."

After Lex agreed, he and the watchmaker walked down the gangplank and boarded the fishing boat.

Each of them took an oar and began to row, moving the small boat away from the Golden Dream and towards the distant island.

Today the sun was shining brightly. Although the temperature was very low, the sunlight falling on their bodies still made them feel warm. In the bright light, on this vast Sea, it seemed that darkness, monsters, and evil gods did not exist.

"If only that were true," Lex sighed softly, then said, "I heard that Sonia Island was once inhabited by elves, which is why it was also called Ancient Elf Island."

"Can elves still be seen on that island now?"

The watchmaker smiled shyly: "How could that be? If there were, we wouldn't be able to live there at all."

"Now it is ruled by the Feysac Empire, and the Town where I live was only built in recent years, so it's even more impossible for elves to exist there."

"If you are interested in this, I suggest you visit the ruins. There are usually frescoes there, and you can learn about them through the frescoes."

"However, although no elves have been seen on the island, some customs have been preserved, such as a food made from animal offal, some spices, and dining tools invented by the elves, and so on."

Lex rowed vigorously: "That sounds really interesting, Mr. Artisan."

Harry said with a bewildered expression: "I am just a watchmaker, not an Artisan."

"Alright, please forgive me for speaking incorrectly." Seeing that the probing yielded no results, Lex continued, "You live on Sonia Island, why did you go to Siren Bay, and how did you know about last night's gathering?"

The watchmaker sighed: "Similar gatherings are prohibited on Sonia Island. The authorities have always been very strict about this, and residents are not even allowed to go out on their own at night."

"Recently, my watch shop ran into financial problems, and I urgently needed money to keep it afloat, so I inquired everywhere."

"I learned about the Siren Bay gathering from a Bartender in a bar who used to be a pirate. I even specifically hired two protectors."

"Unexpectedly, they were both brutally murdered by pirates, and only I survived."

It sounded flawless. So, was the Artisan truly someone else?

Lex cleared his throat and said: "Don't do such risky things next time."

More than an hour later, they arrived at the dock and then made their way to Grand Town. At the entrance of the Town, a blue flag fluttered, bearing the image of a white bear wearing a crown.

The Town was mostly composed of low-rise buildings, various wooden houses with sloped roofs, none exceeding two stories high.

Furthermore, the sloped roofs of the houses were uniformly painted dark gray, but the walls were colorful and very vibrant, a building style quite different from Loen.

The island was very cold, and even during the day, people had to wear various coats.

Moreover, the people here were all unusually tall, both men and women.

Lex's height was not considered short in the Loen Kingdom, but upon arriving here, he felt like a child entering an adult's world.

"Feysac people are all very tall. Legend has it that they are descendants of giants. However, there are also Loen people, Intis people, and Bayam people here, just in smaller numbers."

The watchmaker lowered his voice: "At night, you can go to the Wild Horse Bar. It's one of the few bars that can operate at night."

"There you can experience the warmth of Feysac beauties. Believe me, they are the only 'warmth' on this cold Island."

Looking at the watchmaker, Lex really wanted to ask him, "Did all your money go into the warm beds of Feysac beauties?"
