Chapter 432 - The Lost Treasure Map

'Palladion: I should learn from Klein. It seems his instincts prevent him from Theft. I should pre-set a series of instincts, engraved in his subconscious. Don't make it too complex, or it will fail.'

'Cowardly Pirate: It seems like there's no natural counter to a Thief's abilities, right? Do the concealment abilities of a Servant of Concealment or a Secrets Sorcerer count as restraining a Thief? Making it so that a Clone of Amon below the Angel level can't find itself, and avoiding contact, should be the best counter, right...'

'Actually, I feel like putting the oil painting in a spirit world treasure chest, taking it out when needed, and quickly putting it back after use. In short, just don't carry it around. Amon has almost consumed all characteristics of the same Sequence, his aggregation ability is too strong.'

Looking at the subsequent messages, Lex couldn't help but rub his cheeks. According to the Observers' comments, the Thief pathway seemed like a bug.

There was no really good way to counter it; only concealment abilities could offer a slight restraint.

Moreover, Amon was absorbing characteristics of the same Sequence. In that case, 'Madame Christie' shouldn't be carried around. As the Watcher above said, storing it in a spirit world treasure chest and retrieving it when needed would be more appropriate.

What a terrifying fellow. When the Observers mentioned Amon, they all emphasized his monocle. It seemed Amon, whether his true body or a Clone, had a habit of wearing a monocle.

This is something to note. In the future, if I see anyone wearing a monocle, whether human or other creature, I should run as far as possible.

At least a Demigod, or even an Angel, would be needed to attempt to fight him. I hope I don't encounter such a terrifying Angel before then.

'Man in Black Puppeteer: Amon, the Ancient Sun God's mischievous child, *'s younger brother, one of the eight Angel Kings. Title: Time Angel. Only a mischievous child could pull off something like the Amon Family consisting solely of Amon, with all Family members being his Clones. He will always appear wearing a monocle on his right eye and habitually pinch his eye socket. His honorific name: The Pointer that Manipulates Time; The Shadow that Roams Fate; The Incarnation of Deceit and Mischief.'

'Zenos: The Amon Family is composed of Clones of the Time Angel, the biological son of the Silver City's Creator, the Ancient Sun God. In the Late Stage, he devoured the exiled Abraham ancestor *** to become a True God of both the Thief and Traveler pathways. If you encounter an existence wearing a monocle on his right eye, if you can't immediately use a cheat and call for help, then just enjoy a good meal, you're already surrounded by Amon, and you're about to become Amon. PS: He and Klein are neighboring pathways~'

'Thirty-Three Heavens: Amon has uniqueness, can create Clones, can exploit bugs, can accommodate lower-Sequence characteristics of his own pathway, and can modify or delete knowledge gained from consuming potions. Most of the Demigods of the Thief Sequence have been eaten by Amon.'

After reading three more messages, Lex was startled to find that his Spirituality had been largely depleted. He was already a Sequence 6, so his Spirituality should be much greater and stronger than before.

But now, after only reading a few messages, his Spirituality was almost gone.

Clearly, this was related to 'Amon'.

He quickly ended the summoning, sat down in the single armchair by the window, rubbed his temples, and recalled the information about 'Amon'.

Amon was originally one of the Angel Kings, and also a child of the Ancient Sun God. From the Observers' messages, it seemed he also had an older brother.

Such a terrifying Angel actually has an older brother? Is he even letting people live?

In the Late Stage, Amon would achieve True Godhood, a True God.

Lex rubbed his own cheek and genuinely sighed, "Good thing I'm not on the 'Thief' pathway, otherwise—"

He didn't dare to think further.

In summary, Amon's abilities seemed to have maxed out the 'Mysterious' attribute, while the 'Hunter' pathway was almost blank in terms of mystery and secrecy.

I wonder if the 'mystical book's permissions will unlock new functions as they increase in the Late Stage. Otherwise, if I rely solely on myself, I can only hope not to encounter Amon.

However, there were still several blurred symbols on the cover of the 'mystical book', meaning it still had several functions yet to be unlocked.

It was still worth looking forward to.

Night fell.

Lex, in the appearance of 'Duke', wrapped in a thick overcoat, arrived at the 'Wild Horse Bar' on the east side of Grand Town.

Just outside the bar, Lex saw a bounty board. At the very top, in the most conspicuous position, were seven or eight wanted posters.

One of them featured the portrait of an elderly gentleman, precisely 'Mr. Morgan', the Incarnation Lex had assumed that morning.

"4000 pounds." Lex chuckled softly. It seemed 'Your Excellency Shevic' still valued Mr. Morgan quite a bit, offering 4000 pounds after just one encounter.

However, 'Mr. Morgan' would not be appearing again for now, so this 4000 pounds would likely remain unclaimed.

Pushing open the heavy door of the 'Wild Horse Bar', a huge wave of sound immediately crashed into Lex's ears. It turned out the bar was in full swing with a celebration.

On the distant stage, four or five Feysac women, lightly dressed, swayed wildly to the rhythm of the music, stimulating the senses of the patrons and making them shout along.

Most Feysac women had fair skin and were strong and tall, generally a size larger than Loen women.

They were passionate and fiery, and when they actively invited, few men could refuse them.

Lex, with a Loen face, knew he wasn't very popular in Grand Town. Coupled with being on a mission, he didn't join the commotion on the dance floor.

He went to the bar and saw a brown-haired, blue-eyed Bartender wiping glasses behind the counter. Lex sat on a high stool and gently tapped the counter: "A sunia blood wine for me."

The Bartender looked up at him, smiled, and responded, "Just a moment."

He skillfully took out a bottle and a glass, quickly mixed a drink, and placed it in front of Lex.

Examining the golden liquid with bubbles, Lex softly said, "This shouldn't be sunia blood wine, should it?"

The Bartender smiled faintly: "The Wild Horse Bar doesn't have sunia blood wine. People here prefer 'fregret wine', which is what you have in front of you, Duke."

Lex chuckled: "Siril?"

"It's me."

Lex nodded: "Then, where is the treasure map?"

"It's not on me. To be precise, it's lost."

When the Bartender said this, Lex was stunned for about a second before saying, "Lost?"

"Yes, lost."

Wiping a glass, Siril lowered his voice and said, "The day before you burned my manor, I sensed danger approaching. Without notifying anyone, I left Champagne Manor with the treasure map."

"I have several other safe places in town, on Sonia Island. When I arrived at one of them, I realized the treasure map was gone."
