"Pyromaniac" Edwina asked, "Are there any other Beyonder on board?"
"There's also his First Mate, I don't know his name, but I know he's a Sequence 9 Mystery Pryer," Jodeson said with a confident smile.
Edwina nodded and said, "We're starting our search for the death god's treasure on monday, so we need to deal with this 'tail' first. Jodeson, how many people do you need to clear them out?"
Jodeson smiled, "Not too many. I need someone to assist me, plus a team of Sailors will be enough."
He looked at Lex, intentionally or unintentionally.
Lex cleared his throat and said, "I'd love to participate, but I injured my shoulder..."
Edwina said indifferently, "Let Danitz go. He's also a Pyromaniac. As for the other Sailors, Jodeson, you can choose them yourself."
"Prepare yourselves; you'll depart tonight. Have you confirmed their hiding place?"
Jodeson tidied his hair, "Of course, they're on a Sea Island not far from here."
Iceberg Admiral said, "Then you go notify Danitz."
Lex smiled and said, "I'll go. The Second Mate can just pick the Sailors."
Jodeson had no objections to this.
Lex left the Captain's Cabin and saw Danitz, Barrel, and Iron Skin, two pirates, drinking and bragging on the deck. He quietly walked behind them.
At this moment, the three of them, Danitz, Barrel, and Iron Skin, had their backs to Lex, leaning against the ship's rail. They were discussing something that made them burst into laughter.
After the laughter subsided, Danitz suddenly heard a voice from behind, "You have a mission."
He jumped in surprise, turned around, and saw it was Lex. "What mission?"
"A mission to clear out the 'tail,'" Lex said casually. "Jodeson has returned with some information. The Captain has assigned you to assist him, and you will be taking action tonight."
"Shit! I have to assist that 'Wolffish Can'?" Danitz yelled, looking displeased.
Barrel and Iron Skin cast sympathetic glances at him and patted his shoulders in comfort.
Danitz shook off the two pirates' hands from his shoulders and looked at Lex. "You should go instead. You're also a Pyromaniac—cough—a Pyromaniac whose strength is not beneath mine, fully capable of handling this mission."
No, even without the aid of mystical items, my strength is above yours. I'm already a Conspirer. Lex pointed to his shoulder, "I'm injured, and the Captain allowed me not to participate in the operation."
"Shit!" Danitz raised both eyebrows and cursed again.
Lex chuckled and turned around, saying, "I have something for you that should let you show off. Come with me."
Watching Lex walk towards the ship's hold, Danitz was about to follow but was held back by the portly Barrel. "Don't go."
"You're his superior; you can order him to bring the item over."
That's right. Danitz immediately cleared his throat. "Uh, Rayleigh, bring the item over."
Lex stopped, looked at Barrel's hand holding Danitz, and chuckled, "If you don't want to come, then don't."
Then he went into the ship's hold without looking back.
Danitz felt a bit awkward, then smiled and said, "Rayleigh used to be a hunter and just joined us; he's not familiar with the ship's rules yet. As his superior, I have an obligation to guide him, and I'm going to guide him now!"
Barrel and Iron Skin exchanged glances. The two pirates shrugged in unison and no longer stopped him.
Danitz quickly walked into the ship's hold and came to Lex's room. "What exactly are you going to give me?"
Before he finished speaking, several dark objects were thrown from the room. Danitz quickly caught them and found they were several metal bottles of varying sizes.
"These are?"
"Hydrogen cylinders."
Lex demonstrated with another one, "When you need to use it, press here to let air into the bottle and mix with the hydrogen inside, which will create a powerful explosive gas."
"You just throw these bottles onto the enemy ship, then use your revolver or your fireballs to detonate them. The power should be enough to sink a pirate ship."
Danitz was startled. "How can you just casually throw such dangerous things around?"
"Don't worry, as long as they're not near a source of fire, nothing will happen."
Danitz thought for a moment and said, "Just sinking a pirate ship, I can do that even without these bottles."
Lex said dismissively, "Then how many fireballs would you have to throw? Ten? Or twenty?"
"If you can't cleanly and decisively sink a ship, how can you show off in front of Jodeson?"
Danitz was speechless by his words and finally said, "Why are you giving me these things?"
"It's simple, I don't like that 'Wolffish Can' either," Lex said without hesitation.
Danitz raised his two yellowish eyebrows. "I like your reason. As long as you also dislike Jodeson, we're friends!"
He then asked for detailed instructions on how to use the 'hydrogen cylinders' before leaving.
Soon it was night. Lex stood by the ship, watching several small boats disappear beyond the Golden Dream's range of lights.
After a while, suddenly, a flash of fire appeared on the distant sea, followed by a fire cloud composed of countless flames and smoke that shot up, and from that direction, the muffled sound of an explosion faintly echoed.
"Such a big commotion, it couldn't be Danitz, could it? He's a Pyromaniac; it shouldn't be hard for him to do this."
"Although he's a Pyromaniac, unless he just happened to blow up their ammunition depot, and there was a large amount of gunpowder in the ammunition depot, he wouldn't be able to create such a big commotion..."
On the deck, watching the flames rising from the distant sea, the pirates discussed animatedly.
Edwina, who had also come to the deck, looked at Lex not far away. She recalled that night at the 'Pirate Gathering,' when Lex had created a similar explosion with a bottle.
Rayleigh.
Edwina withdrew her gaze, deep in thought.
More than an hour later, Danitz and his group returned, and as expected, they were victorious.
Right there on the deck, Jodeson briefly reported the entire process to Iceberg Admiral.
"We approached the Black Crow Pirate Group under the cover of night, and when we were still some distance away, Danitz threw out a few bottles, probably the kind Rayleigh used last time."
"In short, after those bottles were detonated, they directly sank the enemy's ship. This attack was both sudden and fierce, causing considerable trouble for the enemy and greatly shortening the duration of tonight's operation."
"Later, in the battle with Freeman, Danitz actively attacked and diligently assisted, giving me the opportunity to severely wound Freeman. Unfortunately, he still managed to dive into the water and escape."
"But regardless, the Black Crow Pirate Group will no longer be able to cause us any trouble, and looking at the entire operation, I believe Danitz made the greatest contribution."
Hearing this, Danitz straightened his back, a smile blooming on his face, clearly pleased by Jodeson's words.
Especially hearing Jodeson personally admit that his contribution was the greatest made Danitz happier than receiving a bounty.
Edwina listened to the 'Flower Bowtie's' brief summary, then looked at Danitz and nodded, saying, "You did very well."
Next, the Iceberg Captain said, "Lower the sails; we must leave. The explosion just now has probably attracted the attention of the Feysac navy. We must leave before they arrive."
Hearing the Captain's order, the pirates all sprang into action, only Danitz remained frozen in place.
It wasn't until Lex pulled him that the Boatswain snapped out of it, then excitedly said, "Rayleigh, did you hear? The Captain just praised me!"
