"Stop, Danitz."
Before Lex could respond, Edwina spoke, "You two go out first."
Danitz glanced at his Captain, then snorted, flipped his hand, extinguished the flames, and left the Captain's Cabin with the others.
After the room fell silent again, Edwina looked at Lex: "Why did you do that? Why reveal your identity?"
Ken Angus answered for Lex, "Because only by doing so can we show our sincerity. We genuinely hope to cooperate with you."
Iceberg Admiral then withdrew her gaze and looked at Ken Angus, "What do you want to cooperate with me on?"
Ken Angus then briefly explained the Feysac Empire's surprise attack plan: "Feysac will make a move next wednesday. Time is too pressing; we don't have time to transfer troops from the colonies."
"We already have a countermeasure. We will have an Admiral rush over to see if he can seize the Teleportation item in the Feysac's hands."
"But if he can't make it in time, we must find a way to stall the Feysac Navy, which my fleet alone cannot do."
Edwina said calmly, "But even with me, it's impossible. Besides, I can't think of a reason to assist Loen. Honestly, I don't have a good impression of you, especially after you deceived me."
Ken Angus cleared his throat and said, "This matter has nothing to do with the Lieutenant. He was acting on my orders. And, believe it or not, we had no ill intentions towards you, Captain, at the time."
"I just wanted to know the Captain's stance and seek an opportunity for cooperation."
"As for the reason to assist Loen, Madam, have you considered this: if Feysac can attack Loen today, then tomorrow, perhaps they will attack your homeland."
"Especially now, Feysac possesses an item capable of Teleporting armies. This way, they can appear anywhere at any time."
"For example, Lenburg?"
Edwina's eyes flickered, then she said, "Even if I'm willing to help, as I just said, even if we cooperate, we cannot delay the Feysac Navy."
Ken Angus glanced at Lex and shook his head, "Of course, we can't do it alone, but if other pirates join, then it's hard to say."
Edwina stated decisively, "Other pirates can't possibly help. You can't expect them to still retain the concept of a nation. They won't be loyal to any nation, nor will they be enemies with any nation—at least, they won't openly confront an army."
The Lieutenant Commander nodded and said, "I agree with that, but I heard that the Golden Dream once caused Blood Admiral to suffer a great loss, and not long ago, almost hunted Admiral of Ailment."
"So I think, if they knew the Golden Dream was near Sonia Island, perhaps they would come for revenge."
Edwina narrowed her eyes slightly and said, "So that's it. You want me to attract Blood Admiral and Admiral of Ailment and use them to fight the Feysac Navy?"
"Exactly, but that alone is not enough."
Ken Angus continued, "I heard from the Lieutenant that you recently discovered the death's treasure, but that Treasure Trove has ceased to exist in all but name. In the end, you didn't gain much, only some irrelevant items from it."
Edwina's long eyelashes fluttered. She, of course, knew that the truth was not as the Lieutenant Commander had said. She also knew that Lex had held back information from his superior regarding the death god's treasure.
"Among them, there is a special key. So I was thinking, could we use this key to fabricate some rumors?"
Ken Angus hinted, "For example, we can make this key out to be the 'Key of Death.' If pirates believe it's related to the death's treasure and know that the Golden Dream, which holds it, is near Sonia Island."
Edwina continued his sentence, "Then the pirates will go mad for it. They will swarm around like sharks smelling blood."
Ken cleared his throat and said, "Exactly. This way, we can cause some trouble for the Feysac Navy."
"Of course, we won't let the Golden Dream venture alone; my fleet will protect you in the shadows."
Edwina closed her eyes. After a moment, she said, "Then, if I'm willing to help, what do I get?"
"Lieutenant."
Ken Angus smiled and said, "You go out first. I want to discuss this matter properly with Captain Edwina."
Lex nodded and left the Captain's Cabin.
As soon as he stepped out, he heard a 'whoosh,' and a suitcase landed at his feet, followed by Danitz's voice.
"All your things are inside."
Lex looked up, calmly staring at him, and nodded, "Okay."
"Damn it, don't you want to say something?" Danitz suddenly grabbed Lex's collar, his spittle flying and splashing onto Lex, "Tell me, Rayleigh, did you ever consider us your partners?!"
Lex was a little surprised by Danitz's agitation. He took a deep breath and smiled, "Yes."
"I will never forget my days on the Golden Dream, but if one day I must pursue you, I will not hold back."
Danitz stared at him blankly, then pushed him hard and snorted, "Then, when that time comes, I'll beat you black and blue!"
Lex shrugged and smiled, "We'll see about that."
A moment later, Ken Angus came out of the Captain's Cabin, glanced at the suitcase at Lex's feet, "We can go."
Lex nodded, turned around, and looked around. Then he picked up the suitcase and walked firmly past the pirates.
As he passed Danitz, Lex heard him say, "Don't you dare die at the hands of the Feysac, Mr. Lieutenant."
Lex smiled and whispered, "If you like someone, just confess boldly. That unreliable divination is useless."
Danitz was startled and looked at Lex in disbelief, "Damn it, how did you know I—"
Seeing that Barrel and Iron Skin were both looking over, he quickly covered his mouth, refusing to say a word.
Carrying the suitcase, he leaped from the gangway onto the small boat. Lex looked up at the golden sailboat before him and silently sighed in his heart: Goodbye, Golden Dream.
Above the gray fog.
"Respected Mr. Fool, I have obtained some information. the Feysac Empire has acquired an item capable of large-scale Teleportation."
"They are secretly assembling their Navy in the Sonia Sea and plan to use that item to Teleport troops to Pritz Harbor next wednesday."
"At the same time, they will send an aerial fleet to bomb Backlund. Please be sure to inform the members of the Loen Kingdom to respond in time and avert disaster."
Looking at the image and words of Lex praying in the small grove, displayed within the crimson star representing Chariot, Klein, who was at the head of the bronze long table, behind the Gray Mist, gasped...
