Chapter 510 - Letter

After declaring the gathering over, the old gentleman, Eye of Wisdom, pointed at the woman who had just warned everyone about the Witch and said, "You go first."

He looked around and then said, "Everyone else, leave in 15 minutes."

"15 minutes?" someone complained in a low voice, "Isn't it usually a 3-minute interval?"

Eye of Wisdom did not respond. Some experienced participants, however, knew that this was to protect the woman. She carried a magical item worth 4,000 pounds and had also brought news about the Witch.

Eye of Wisdom was concerned that someone at the gathering might wish her harm, so he specifically extended the usual 3-minute interval to a quarter of an hour.

The woman stood up and, guided by a waiter, left the living room and went to the main door. She removed her black iron mask, returned it to the Gatekeeper, and did not return to Brave Bar. She seemed familiar with her surroundings, heading directly from the alley back to the main street.

She arrived in the East District and slipped into a house. It was a one-room apartment. The woman did not light a lamp. She took off her classical robe and hung it in the wardrobe.

After doing this, she hugged the box containing the bone flute, got into bed, and quickly fell asleep.

A moment later, some black, viscous liquid flowed out of the woman's mouth, nostrils, and ears. It dripped onto the ground, coalesced, and then bulged upwards, flesh and blood weaving together to form the figure of Kardashian.

Kardashian took the box containing the magical item, then transformed into a black carpet, rolling the box out of the window and departing.

It was also this night.

In a manor on Simim Island, Doctor Polly was about to fall asleep when he suddenly felt a spiritual sensation. He heard a phantom knocking sound.

Polly sat up straight, activated Spiritual Vision, and said in a deep voice, "Come in."

From within the wooden door, a polished leather shoe emerged and stepped onto the floor, followed by straight, dark trousers, then a black formal suit, and finally, a headless 'person' resembling a butler appeared before Polly.

The headless butler bowed slightly, then pulled an envelope from his pocket and placed it on the nearby table. He smoothed the envelope with his hand, even though it had no creases.

With another bow, the headless butler retreated back through the door, as if he had never been there.

"Is this, Rayleigh's messenger?"

The Medic stood up, moved to the table, cut open the envelope, and took out the letter inside.

'Polly, I need your help. I need you to deliver a letter to Sea Wave Cathedral. The content of the letter is as follows.'

'When delivering the letter, try to use some disguise. Do not easily expose yourself. I think you should be able to do it.'

'Your dearest friend, Rayleigh.'

After reading the letter, the Medic burned it and then went to bed as if nothing had happened.

The next day.

"You're leaving, Doctor?"

The manor's mistress, hearing that the Doctor was returning to Bayam, couldn't help but try to persuade him to stay: "Could you stay a little longer?"

The Doctor said with a cold expression, "Madam, Mr. Bugade's condition has improved. From now on, he only needs recuperation and rest to recover his health."

"I have done all I can. I am no longer needed here."

Seeing that the Doctor was determined to leave, Miss Nikola could no longer insist and had to agree, having someone present him with a generous consultation fee.

The Doctor did not count the consultation fee. He directly put the envelope containing the money into his leather case, then pressed down his hat and left the manor.

He arrived in Bayam at three in the afternoon. The Doctor wasted no time, hailing a taxi carriage at the port to return to his clinic.

Back at the clinic, the Doctor wrote a note, found a tramp in the alley, handed him 1 soli, and asked him to deliver the note to Red Theater across the street.

Not long after, a beautiful young woman walked into the clinic and, seeing the Doctor, said joyfully, "Doctor Polly, you're back?"

"You've been gone for over a week. I thought you weren't coming back."

"Please, quickly take a look at me."

The Doctor said expressionlessly, "Miss Carrie, I can responsibly tell you that your illness has fully recovered. As long as you pay attention to hygiene, especially the hygiene related to your clients, there should basically be no problems."

"Also, I would like to ask you for a favor."

"Do you need me to do something?" Miss Carrie said with a serious expression, "As long as it's a favor for you, Doctor, no matter what, I will help."

"I would like to ask you to find someone to help me deliver a letter. I hope the recipient will not associate it with you or me."

Miss Carrie's beautiful eyes narrowed: "That sounds interesting. I know what to do. I guarantee the messenger will only associate it with Red Theater, but will not know who sent the letter."

"Thank you." Only then did the Doctor hand the prepared envelope to Miss Carrie.

The lady, without even looking at the information on the envelope, smiled slightly and left the clinic.

In the evening.

At Sea Wave Cathedral, a priest suddenly found an envelope placed at the church entrance. He picked it up and saw the words 'For Your Excellency Chogo' on the envelope.

The sender's section was blank.

The priest quickly delivered the letter to the bishop's room.

"My letter?"

The not-so-young old man tore open the envelope without hesitation, took out the letter inside, and began to read it.

'Your Esteemed Excellency Chogo, I am a disreputable pirate, but as a former believer of the Lord of Storms, I feel it necessary to convey this news I heard to the Church.'

'Regarding this information, I cannot confirm its authenticity. I heard it from a great pirate. Since the news is too astonishing, I feel it is necessary to tell you.'

'I heard a piece of news from the great pirate Mithor. Far away in Loen Kingdom, Prince Edessak Augustus has recently fallen in love, but he has fallen in love with a Witch, and this Witch is a 'container.'

'Please forgive me for not knowing what a 'container' is, but it sounds quite ominous. I believe Prince Edessak might be in danger. Of course, it's also possible that Mithor is just spouting nonsense.'

'Regardless, I feel I must tell you. This is what I wanted to say.'

After reading the letter, Chogo's breathing suddenly became heavy: "There's a Witch by Prince Edessak's side?"

"The news was heard from Mithor. Mithor is the third mate on the Black Death. The owner of the Black Death is Tracy, who is also a Witch. Although there is no direct evidence that Tracy belongs to the Witch Sect, as fellow Witches, perhaps this news is true after all."

"But how could there be a Witch by the Prince's side? Are the Augustus family blind? Or is it that..."

Suddenly, a terrifying conjecture arose in the Bishop's mind.
