The four of them drove quietly back to Gu Yuxuan's home. Meng Xian drove and Ehuang sat next to him. Gu Yuxuan and Zimo sat at the back.
Ehuang's hair danced with the gentle breeze that slipped through her slightly opened window. She took a deep breath that felt like taking in the morning freshness.
Zimo turned his head to Gu Yuxuan, who was focused on the outside of his window. His eyes slightly weary from the little sleep. "You really got me out."
Gu Yuxuan suddenly turned to him as if he could hear his thoughts. "The evidence we got is strong, but you still need to be careful. We don't know how they'll defend themselves", he said.
"I understand", Zimo answered in a soft tone.
With the strong gaze between them, the air was thick with unspoken emotions, charged with an electric intensity.
