Chapter 242 - Chapter 241 I Need To Eat, I'm Very Busy!

"So, host, work hard to upgrade your restaurant's level. The restaurant will become your capital and guarantee for establishing yourself in this world!" The system's voice was filled with a hint of temptation and fervor.

"Bang!"

An even louder crash came from the direction of the doorway.

"Daddy, is someone coming to cause trouble?" Amy, still enjoying the delicious braised chicken, turned her head towards the door with a puzzled expression.

"Who is the enemy?" Mai Ge wasn't excited by the system's words, he looked at the wooden door and raised an eyebrow.

"Goodinia." the system replied.

Upon hearing this name, Mai Ge's expression turned somewhat cold, and he asked, "System, do you have any spare doors?"

"If the host needs it, it can be customized for twenty gold coins." This time the system replied quite quickly.

"Very good, your business has come knocking." Mai Ge gently placed the chopsticks on the table and smiled. "Disarm your defenses."

"Hmm? Are you sure you want to do this, host? The restaurant's property may be damaged." The system asked, somewhat puzzled.

"If I remember correctly, according to the regulations set by the Gray Temple, the residents of Chaos City can defend themselves against invading enemies when their lives and property are threatened, and all consequences shall be borne by the invaders." Mai Ge's smile was a little cold as he calmly said, "Besides, whoever causes the damage, compensates for it. Isn't that the restaurant's rule?"

"Instead of having to do it yourself, this system strongly recommends that you upgrade as soon as possible so you can enjoy a high-class service where you can sit comfortably in the restaurant and wave away any invading enemies." the system earnestly advised.

"No money." Mai Ge refused without hesitation, and smiled as he looked towards the door. "Yes, someone's causing trouble. This time, Amy, you can stop holding back your fireballs against the person who's vandalizing the restaurant."

"Hmm, if anyone dares to damage the restaurant, I, Amy, will absolutely not let them get away with it!" Amy nodded seriously, then glanced at the rice bowl in front of her and said somewhat unhappily, "And they're so annoying! Why do they have to cause trouble while we're eating? Daddy's braised chicken is so delicious, it's really frustrating not being able to continue eating!"

"Do you need my help?" Sally also put down her chopsticks. Being interrupted while enjoying her food made her a little unhappy, but her good manners prevented her from showing any impatience. She looked at Mai Ge and asked softly.

"No need!" Before Mai Ge could speak, Amy raised her little hand and looked at Sally seriously, saying, "Sister Aisha, leave this to Amy. I want them to know that if I, Amy, get angry, I'm really fierce!"

"Okay." Sally looked at Amy's sincere expression, hesitated for a moment, and then nodded. Anyway, she could watch from the sidelines, and if Amy couldn't handle it, she could always step in.

As for Mai Ge, Sally thought he was a genius chef, capable of cooking the most delicious food in the world, but the fact that he got injured even when fighting a copper-skinned wild boar, and only managed to defeat it with Amy's help, showed that he wisely chose not to waste time on training, suggesting that his combat strength might not be very strong.

Mai Ge didn't stop her. He looked towards the door and waited for them to break in. The impact they were experiencing was nothing compared to the copper-skinned wild boar they'd encountered outside Stranglethorn Vale that morning. Since they couldn't break through the defenses, it meant that the enemy's strength was no more than level three. Mai Ge didn't believe they could withstand more damage than that big boar.

At the doorway, Gabriel took three steps back, gripping his sword. He missed a step on the stairs and barely managed to avoid falling. His face turned extremely pale. His second strike hit the door, but still left no mark. The terrifying force that bounced back from the door made his hands, which were gripping the sword, go numb.

"He can't even break the door?" Goodinia looked at this scene with surprise and a somewhat unpleasant expression. He glanced at Gabriel and realized that the man Devo often boasted about, who could even cut down his own subordinates when he went berserk, wasn't as powerful as he claimed.

"Gabriel! You…" Devo shouted angrily. He had come today to stand up for Goodinia and also to show off the strength of his subordinates. He never expected that Gabriel couldn't even cut open a wooden door, making him lose face.

"Shut up!" Gabriel turned around and gave Devo a cold look, his eyes somewhat bloodshot.

Devo's words caught in his throat, and seeing Gabriel's red eyes, he didn't dare to continue.

He knew Gabriel's ruthlessness better than anyone, the story of him cutting himself when he went berserk wasn't fabricated. If Gabriel really went berserk, he might even cut him down too.

"Johnny, you come with me. This door is a bit strange, but with you, it should be enough." Gabriel licked his pale lips, gripped his long sword tightly, and stared intently at the wooden door. Without waiting for Johnny's reply, he stepped back onto the steps, gripped his sword with both hands, and slammed it down on the wooden door.

Johnny hesitated for a moment, then raised the black magic wand in his hand, chanting a magic incantation. A red flame shone from the tip of the wand, turning into a fireball that flew towards the wooden door, crashing into it almost simultaneously with Gabriel's sword.

"Bang!"

The sound of the fireball exploding and the long sword striking the wooden door coincided perfectly. The expected scene of the door being broken open with great difficulty did not occur. The previously impenetrable wooden door was now torn into countless fragments by the terrifying force of the long sword and the exploding fireball, just like an ordinary wooden door.

"It's broken!" Goodinia and Devo both showed joy. They had come with high spirits to seek revenge and make threats, but they were blocked by a wooden door. Now that it was broken, they were inexplicably happy.

"Hmm?" Both Gabriel and Johnny looked puzzled, but Gabriel, carrying his long sword, took the lead and walked through the doorway, with Johnny following half a step behind.

Gabriel waved away a small piece of wood that had fallen on his shoulder, his scarlet eyes narrowed slightly, and he looked into the restaurant through the still-lingering wood dust, his gaze sharpening slightly.

In the restaurant, which they thought was empty, a half-elf little girl with double ponytail was standing in the middle aisle. She looked shorter than the table next to her and stood with her hands on her hips, looking at them with a bit of annoyance.

At the innermost table, a man and two women were sitting, with food laid out on the table, and they appeared to be eating.

"Someone's here?" Johnny's gaze also fell on Mai Ge and the others. When his gaze landed on Sally, it stopped abruptly, becoming somewhat intense. Could there really be such a beautiful woman in this world! Even if she was an elf, he wanted to try and pursue her!

"So there were people inside. Why didn't you open the door when you heard the noise? One man and three women, are you trying to hid...?" Gabriel tapped his long sword lightly on the ground, his gaze roaming brazenly over Yabemia and Sally, his pale face bearing a frightening smile.

"You two are just here to cause trouble, aren't you? I need to eat, I'm very busy! I don't have time to play with you, you two come at me together." Amy interrupted Gabriel, looking at the two of them seriously, and raised her hands at the same time.
