It's been a week since I arrived at my aunt's place, Hazel has been a sweetheart since l came here she has been keeping me company every single day after work and showing me around the city so that l gets familiar with my way around. Mostly she got me a job interview in one of her friend's company which was today.
I got up early in the morning feeling light headed l knew l wasn't nervous for the interview but l wasn't sure if l was ready to start working after everything. No matter how I felt I had to go to the interview so l woke up, showered and got dressed. I was wearing a nice black formal dress with low silver heel and tied my hair into a high ponytail. I went downstairs and met aunt and Hazel at the dinner table eating their breakfast while chatting.
"Vanya good morning, come dear and eat" aunt exclaimed the moment she saw me. "Good morning" I said sitting down at the dining table. Aunt smiled as she started serving me dishes
"You nervous for the interview" Hazel said with an excited look, "Not really" l said taking a bite of the sandwich aunt placed on my plate. "That good you really shouldn't be this is just the formality you should go under but the job is already yours" she said with a smile. After we finished having breakfast me and Hazel said good bye to aunt and made our way to the garage. "Today l will drop you there and the driver will come pick you up when you are done" Hazel said leading me to her car and we got in and drove off.
After a while of driving and been tortured by Hazel's music we arrived the Ashworth Corporation. I got out of the car as Hazel wished me the best and drove off. This was really intimidating, it wasn't what l was expecting This was massive how can Hazel's friend be the CEO of such a large company.
I walked into the company building feeling overwhelmed by the reality of the situation. As l entered the company I was met by a beautiful view, I worked straight to the reception and met a beautiful woman wearing sophisticated clothes as she asked me how she can help me, and l told her l was here for the interview.
"You are the one who came for the interview, Miss Sophie!" she called out and a young pretty lady turned around and started walking towards us, she was wearing a simple formal outfits.
"She came here for the interview" the receptionist said referring to me, the young lady turned to me with a smile and said.
"You must be Vanya, Am Sophia Boss's personal assistant" she extended her hand and I took it for a handshake as I said "Nice to meet Sophia". "The pleasure is mine, follow me" she said leading me to the elevator.
We went up, as we arrived at the top floor of the building. I really thought the ground floor was amazing but the top floor was elegant it looked like one has entered a five-star hotel. Sophia turned to me and asked me to sit and wait for her. I did as she said and sat down on a couch, she knocked and entered an office I just assumed that was the boss' office.
After a few minutes Sophia came out and told me that the boss was ready to see me, I stood up and followed her into the office. The first thing l saw was a man sitting on a chair with a huge desk, "Sir here is Vanya" Sophia said with a very respectful tone.
The man in the chair looked up at us and nodded to Sophia and left leaving me just standing there like a statue.
"Miss Vanya, come take a seat" the man said in a low but cold voice. I walked towards his desk and sat down on a chair facing him as he looked at me and l think I saw a bit of admiration in his blue eyes.
"Miss Vanya it's really a pleasure to meet you, I am Alsina Ashworth the CEO of this company" he said with a very professional tone, "It's a pleasure to meet you too Mr Ashworth" I said with a respectful tone.
"I wanted to welcome you personally to the company, Hazel has already told me everything there is to know so you can start work tomorrow. I will assign someone to assist you on everything you need to know about your work and the company. Alsina said.
"Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity l really appreciate sir" I said with a smile.
"OK then, see you tomorrow" Alsina said as he stood up extended his hand giving me a handshake with a smile.
I walked out of the office and met Sophia, she told me where l had to go tomorrow when I come to work and who l will meet to show me what have to do. After talking to Sophie I walked out of the company and as promised the driver was ready to pick me up, l went home.
