"Chef Gai, do you know the father of who that student assaulted? He is a top donor to this very academy! Are you going to defend him knowing fully well the influence of the student he assaulted? Can you stand the consequences?"
Teacher Garrison said with a threatening voice.
Of course, he wasn't defending the likes of the trio because they were the best students in the academy or that he liked them, but because of their backgrounds; not only was Hansen's father a top contributor to the academy, but his influence was also at the top of the hierarchy.
"I don't know what you want me to do, as far as Ragna's punishment is concerned, he's doing just that. If you will excuse me, I have work to do."
Gai said before walking away, as for what the teacher thought about him, he didn't care.
"I hope you don't regret your decision in the future!"
Teacher Garrison snorted.
Chef Gai, couldn't help but frown when he remembered what happened. Even though he didn't seem to care about the way the teacher spoke, it was needless to say that he was quite worried about the kid.
It was one of the reasons he kept telling the kid to abandon his dream of becoming an awakener and become a galaxy level chef, it was because he was sure they would definitely try to hurt him if he kept studying at the academy, and as for him becoming a galaxy level chef, they were treated with utmost respect, and given special privileges anywhere they went, and were not easily offended thanks to their influence.
At their level, they had gone beyond the normal conventional way of cooking; their cooking could heal ailments and give special increase to abilities to awakeners, so they were always sought after by powerful families and awakeners.
'I wonder why the kid is so adamant about becoming an awakener. Wouldn't it be better if he were to become a galaxy-level chef instead?'
Chef Gai had a solemn expression as he stared at Ragna, the kid was moving about from pot to pot adding ingredients inside them. Chef Gai immediately had a smile, when the smell of his cooking entered his nose.
'What's so good about those damn awakeners anyway? Isn't food more important than having abilities?'
He thought before continuing to give instructions to the rest of the assistant chefs in the kitchen.
Just like yesterday, the day ended uneventfully again.
Students could be seen walking out of the school premises with tired looks; there were all sorts of luxurious cars and security personnel outside waiting for most of them.
Except for Ragna, everyone was either eager to go home or was already leaving; he was the only one who seemed to have no such thought, as he still had to continue his punishment today again.
None of the topics that were taught every other day were interesting or impactful to him.
"I wonder how long I can hold out with attending school, it's not like there's anything I'm learning from coming to school every day."
'Well, you should have thought about that before transmigrating into the body of a teen you know?'
The cursed fragment snorted, making Ragna roll his eyes.
He couldn't help but look at the huge wall clock beside the hall. Although students were going home, there were still some of them who usually stayed back and went back late, because they were training or using the academy field.
Since he had to wait for everyone to leave the academy first before he began cleaning Ragna, he thought he should sleep for a while so he could complete the sleeping quest since there were two quests left before he could finally complete his daily quest for today.
It was barely five minutes when the sound of students coming from the hall, and to the class room could be heard.
All of a sudden there was a loud screeching sound in his head as the cursed fragment soul screamed at him, forcing him to wake up.
[Cursed One has forcefully woken up from slumber]
[You have been plagued by the cursed fragment soul resentment!]
[All stats and health will be halved while you experience the resentment of the cursed fragment soul]
[Stats and health will revert to normal after Cursed One has completed the sleeping quest]
Ragna had just raised his head to curse whomever it was that was disturbing his sleep, when he saw these notification messages before him. At that moment, his body suddenly felt sluggish and slow, like he was completely exhausted, while his head felt like it was being split open by a sledgehammer.
At the same time, a blazing fireball could be seen heading toward him.
"Fuck! Idiot, you shot the fireball in the wrong direction!"
One of the students said
'Hey, Ragna are you okay? You need to duck!'
The cursed fragment's soul pitched a loud voice, shouted at Ragan to dodge.
Ragna cursed under his breath; at this moment, not only was he sleepy, but his body felt extremely heavy. He couldn't tell exactly what was happening, but the little points he had in his perception made him aware that he was definitely in danger.
