The cursed fragment soul suddenly spoke in his mind, as Ragna was staring at the abilities in his hand, he had gained.
There was a moment of silence, when Ragna heard what the cursed fragment soul said in his mind, the words seemed to linger in his head. He wanted to shrug it off, but then he remembered the original owner of his current body was just a child who had never seen anyone's blood before, and had never killed anyone.
"Yes, however, not you but me. This has been the way I lived in my previous world, and the only way a Curse One can truly become stronger."
Ragna stated, as he stared at the notification messages in front of him. He could perceive the fragment cursed soul in his mind, which was currently in a confused state and frightened. Of course, he had no time to give sympathetic words or pretend like it didn't happen; however, there was nothing he could do, and he was sure that with time, he would eventually get over it.
Meanwhile, the cursed fragment soul seemed to still be processing what it had witnessed during the fight; needless to say, it was very scared, and it was truly shaken by it.
The scene from what he had witnessed was not just shocking but also terrifying. Even though he was aware he wasn't actually the one who had killed the trio, he felt like he was the one who did it and felt guilty.
Although they had made his life a living hell back in the academy, they didn't deserve to die, it was not like they had ever gone beyond bullying him.
"Even if you thought they didn't deserve to die, do you think if the situation were reversed, they would have allowed you to go? You should stop thinking too hard about it, kid."
Even though Ragna felt there was no to be sympathetic, he wanted let the kid know, just because he felt they didn't deserve to die, doesn't mean if the situation was reversed they would have allowed him to go, besides the system already marking them as part of his quest, Ragna thought they still deserve to die, he didn't know if the kid was just being naive or plain stupid, but these were kids who had made life for it a living hell.
And would also have made it worse today, if he had allowed them to go, since they were not only planning to beat him up badly they were also planning to destroy his ability.
'But…'
"While you might feel sympathetic for them, they weren't feeling the same. The world doesn't treat you nicely, just because you treat others nicely!"
Ragna thought this was a defining moment for the cursed fragment soul. So he needed to make it understand how the world and people work.
The reason he had been bullied all this time was simply that he saw no reason to fight back, and he wasn't going to live as the previous Ragna had done.
Even though the cursed fragment soul wanted to retort, it couldn't, as it was aware Ragna was right; if they hadn't died, he might have been the one currently dead.
'How I wish the world could truly be as sympathetic as you are, kid. You are simply too innocent for this type of world.'
An hour later, Ragna eventually got home.
The sky was already dark by the time he entered the house, his mind was a bit chaotic and fuzzy with the new curse fragment souls in his mind he had absorbed after killing the trio, but Ragna simply shrugged it off.
'Monster! You're a monster, you killed Hansen.'....
'It truly is a bit disturbing. Even though absorbing cursed fragment souls is the most convenient way of quickly becoming stronger, it is still a hassle.'
Ragna simply thought.
Thanks to now having three extra cursed fragment souls in his mind, he could hear more voices in his head besides the curse kid's own. But he already expected it, and would definitely continue to increase in the near future, that is if he truly wanted to become the strongest in this world.
After entering his room, Ragna immediately went to change his clothes and sat on his bed, before going through the notification messages he got after absorbing their abilities.
Since the situation had been urgent, he wasn't able to go through the notification messages properly and was only able to screen through them briefly.

Meanwhile, some moments after Ragna had left, a circular flying device that seemed to be made like a drone, but with no propeller or fan, appeared from afar, seemingly scanning the entire area, and then stopped at the already destroyed Odin factory. After a while, a monotone voice seemed to resonate out of it.
"Master Hansen has been confirmed dead. Ned confirmed Dead. Galadima confirmed dead.
Attackers unknown, suspected Attacker:Ragna Ringwood."
