This made them believe it was the handiwork of Crimson, a professional criminal organization.
Eventually, he was allowed to go back, with a last sentence.
"Be thankful someone had attested to your innocence!"

Ragna, for a few moments, was silent. After he heard what the officer said, he couldn't help but ask. Since his family had abandoned him, he obviously couldn't say it was them.
Just as he was wondering who the person was, a calm voice resounded behind him.

Miss Levy said, as she walked over calmly. Her testifying for him made Ragna quite surprised, the officer nodded respectfully at the sight of her.
For some reason, Miss Levy's presence seemed to dissolve the whole issue of him having any link to the incident. After she vouched for him, he was immediately allowed to go, after a written statement.
He was also considered to be a rank 1 awakener after he was tested, so logic said there was no way he could have harmed Hansen who was already rank 2 with a body gear of rank 4.
After leaving the interrogation room, Miss Levy immediately left, leaving behind a few words.
"Come to my office tomorrow after class."
She stuttered a bit, as she stole a glance at him with a slight flush expression, before walking into an all black car.
Ragna simply nodded. He didn't know why she was helping him, but he appreciated it. As for why she was helping him, he thought he would get to know by tomorrow.
At the same time, his mind couldn't help but go back to what happened after he killed the trio. The events that transpired that evening when he absorbed their abilities, brought a new discovery.
Just as he was done killing them, he immediately got several notification messages from the system. The moment he said yes, almost as if their corpses were being absorbed, Ragna watched as their corpses disintegrated into a sickly green ball of souls and entered his mouth.
