Chapter 326: Masahiko Lands on the Moon
A brilliant light flashed, illuminating Masahiko's face and blinding his eyes.
Toneri's father said no more. With a wave of his right hand, the bizarrely shaped flying vessel fired a multitude of yellow light waves, making Masahiko's eyes flash green.
"That's a good item, capable of both flight and combat. This item is destined for Great Ancestor."
Masahiko extended his right hand, dark red light flickering at the tips of his five fingers. A barrage of miniature Tailed Beast Bombs shot out, neutralizing the yellow light waves one by one.
"This is... Yin-Yang Release? Right! You are Masahiko Uzumaki, a descendant of the Sage of Six Paths." Toneri's father's expression grew solemn.
Masahiko shook his head speechlessly. He truly didn't want the title of being a descendant of that old geezer, the Sage of Six Paths. However, for the other party to recognize him, they must have paid attention to him while observing the ninja world from the moon.
"A ninja as strong as Great Ancestor naturally attracts attention."
Toneri's father didn't reply, his expression growing even more solemn. He turned to look at Toneri beside him, hesitated for a moment, gritted his teeth, and slowly condensed a green sphere of light in his right hand.
"This jutsu... looks a bit like the Rasengan." Masahiko was startled. He flipped his right palm, and a black Tailed Beast Rasengan condensed within.
"Let's see whose ball is harder!"
Masahiko thrust the Rasengan forward. He originally thought it would be at least a 'head-on collision ending in a draw' situation. Unexpectedly, upon contact, his Rasengan was swallowed by the opponent's green light sphere. The green light sphere was then pressed into his hand, sinking into his palm and causing the chakra within his body to rage.
"Absorbing chakra, what kind of jutsu is this?"
Boom!
Masahiko's question was drowned out by the massive explosion caused by the rampaging chakra within his body.
"Cough cough!" On the flying vessel, Toneri's father coughed twice, his face turning unnaturally pale. The jutsu just now had consumed a massive amount of his energy.
"Father, are you alright?"
"Toneri, let's leave quickly."
Toneri's father didn't answer but operated the flying vessel, ascending straight up.
"But Father..."
"Cough cough... Let's talk after we return!" Toneri's father coughed twice more. "The explosion just now caused too much of a commotion. Besides, that man is very troublesome; it's highly unlikely he died in the explosion."
"But Father..."
"We'll talk after we return!"
Just like that, the flying vessel continuously ascended, breaking through gravity and flying towards the moon.
It wasn't until over ten minutes later, when the flying vessel landed on the surface of the moon, that he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Speak, what is it?" Toneri's father turned his head, his face gradually stiffening. "Alright, you don't need to say it."
"But Father, I felt a hand on top of my head."
Toneri's father: "..."
Masahiko rubbed little Toneri's head and looked around. "The power of that explosion just now was truly huge. It blew me right onto your ship. I accidentally hitched a ride to the moon."
"What was that jutsu you used just now? It's my first time seeing it. If I weren't proficient in Sealing Jutsu, I probably would have been injured."
Toneri's father remained silent. Explaining the principles of one's jutsu to an enemy meant either they had the confidence to win completely, or their brain wasn't working right.
"Tell me about it?" Masahiko asked with a curious look, rubbing Toneri's little head again.
"Hah!" Unexpectedly, Toneri suddenly leaned back, aiming the back of his head at Masahiko's vitals.
Masahiko's face darkened, and he hurriedly twisted his waist to dodge. Toneri took the opportunity to flee to his father, and then... he bumped into his father and knocked him down.
"Father! Are you alright?"
Masahiko rubbed his thigh, which had been hit by the back of the head, looking utterly speechless. "Kids these days, how do they dare headbutt anything? Also, you knocked your father down, it has nothing to do with me. Don't try to scam me here, I have no money, I donated it all to the orphanage! And young people nowadays, why is their health so poor, falling over after one bump?"
Toneri's father seemed to have been knocked unconscious by his son. Despite Toneri shaking him repeatedly, he didn't wake up. Toneri gritted his teeth, focused his mind to start the flying vessel, and flew unsteadily towards the west.
"This child is underage, he definitely doesn't have a pilot's license for a flying vessel, but then again, neither have I." Masahiko sighed and looked at Toneri, then was startled again. "Why did you suddenly go blind?"
Toneri turned around, revealing empty eye sockets, and said faintly, "Those eyes were Father's jutsu."
It's over, not only is it a child driving, it's a blind child. There's going to be a ship crash.
Masahiko was constantly prepared to rescue 'his flying vessel', but perhaps due to familiarity with the route, the flying vessel didn't crash even as a row of palace buildings came into view in the distance.
"A bit in disrepair, these palaces are quite dilapidated." Masahiko focused his senses, his expression surprised. "There isn't a single living person here. No wonder they had to find Hinata. It seems these two are the only descendants of Hamura left."
While he was thinking, puppets flew over from all directions. Masahiko frowned, and from the corner of his eye, he saw the unconscious Toneri's father secretly crack an eye open.
He felt both annoyed and amused. "Actually pretending to be unconscious, wanting to use the geographical advantage for another fight? You should just give up..."
Masahiko extended his hands forward, and a sharp buzzing sound rang out as two Rasenshurikens condensed into shape. Spreading his arms outward, the Rasenshurikens traced two brilliant arcs from two directions, shredding all the puppets into pieces.
"Father, are you alright..." Toneri helped his father up.
"Cough cough! Damn it, if my body wasn't so..."
Masahiko smiled and shook his head. "You should know very well, even with a healthy body, you wouldn't be my match. Living perfectly fine on the moon, yet insisting on going to Earth to find trouble. Earth is very dangerous."
"Hmph! The world the Sage of Six Paths created is a failure. Inheriting the will of our ancestor Hamura, we have the responsibility to destroy this failed world!" Toneri's father said indignantly.
Masahiko was startled and looked at him carefully.
"Are you sick in the head?"
"Cough cough... if it weren't for this illness..."
"I'm not talking about your body, but your brain. Words like a failed creation and destroying the world don't sound like something a normal person would say," Masahiko said, shaking his head.
Toneri's father snorted coldly. "The husk of the Ten-Tails sealed within the moon has been stolen, and someone actually wants to release Kaguya Otsutsuki. Is this kind of world not considered a failure?"
Masahiko frowned. It seemed the guy who took Madara's Rinnegan had started making his move.
"If she's released, just seal her again. Besides, do you think I'm just here for decoration? Who can snatch the Two-Tails from my hands?" When he sealed the Two-Tails cat jinchuriki back then, it wasn't without this consideration.
Toneri's father gave him a disdainful look. After a violent coughing fit, he took a deep look at Toneri and slowly collapsed.
"Father!" Toneri was shocked.
"Is this... dead?"
Masahiko was speechless. This death was too quick; he hadn't even lifted a finger.
"Well, dead is fine, I can abduct another genius young boy." Masahiko glanced at Toneri.
He looked around the palaces again. "Before that, let's get myself a moon palace. Bringing people here occasionally to stay would be very stylish."
"Living on the moon, that makes me... Uzumaki Chang'e? Bah! Uzumaki Wu Gang... no, that's not right either." Masahiko fell into deep thought.
