Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: Conflict of Blondes

Leila looked at the full-length mirror in front of her. She was dressed in a yellow school uniform with a black skirt.

"The skirt is too short." The girl complained. Her best friend already complained that Leila's skirt was too short before, but this is even worse.

"Complain to Milly she is the one who designs them." Marcus shrugged, he found them sexy, so he ain't complaining.

"Hmph, it's too revealing. Do you like that someone would gaze at me like that?" She quickly began to use THAT card!

Yes! The moment she sees something she doesn't like, she would tell him that she is his, and would someone want to gaze at his girl?

That's right, he got triggered when she puts it like that!

"I know you are playing me, but it is working." He sighed, pulling out his flip phone. He opened it and contacted the management of the academy.

A very short conversation later, he got her a different skirt.

"I am not playing you, we ARE already sharing the same bed. By Britannian AND Europia standards, we should be getting married." She said with a smirk.

The more he wants to cuddle her, the more it's going to cost in something called 'responsibility'.

"Good to know that I can hug you anytime I want." He replied with a similar smirk, making her smirk drop.

 "..."

A few minutes later, a staffer brought a new set of skirts.

Leila went over and chose one of a similar size to her original military one.

"Thank you." The girl thanked the lady before walking away to change.

Once she was done, she walked over and showed herself to him.

"Well?"

"Gorgeous as always."

"Hn." She nodded, accepting his praise a bit easier this time around.

As the pair were walking to the class, Marcus' gaze ended up on a red-haired girl who looked quite meek and sickly, or at least she tried to pretend to be one.

"Already looking for another girl?" Leila commented, seeing him watching the red-haired girl.

"No, she looks like a new face." He replied.

"Hm, so the king needs to see who the new serf is to serve in your territory?" Leila joked, It's still a novel experience for the girl to be in a Britannian school!

Just yesterday, she was on the Eastern European front managing the army! Today she is in Area 11, attending school for rich Britannians…

However, it was a 'bite' from Leila. His pretty version of modern Joan of Arc is jealous… how cute.

"No need for you to be jealous, just compare how far I needed to go to get you." Marcus chuckled; he finds her jealousy amusing.

"...In most literal sense." He clarified, making her stop and frown. At the same time, she felt that she was a bit petty, something she rarely does.

"Regardless, let's get to the class, I need to show my beautiful fiancée to my classmates." The Inventor Prince's words made her stop in her tracks and look at him.

"W-What!?"

She pulled a bit away from him and blushed like a tomato.

"See. I can do that, do." He winked at her, getting back at the previous comment.

The blonde's facial expressions went through an array of emotions.

Stopping at a resignation. She can't do this… he is far too blunt and she is far too inexperienced in this 'combat'.

"...Just don't embarrass me… too much." The girl said in a resigned tone.

"I won't; they will only know what they need to know." He said as they arrived at the class, by this point, they were in second period. Due to all the details they had to attend to, they ended up skipping the first class.

"...Great…" The girl sarcastically replied as Marcus knocked on the door, and the inventor's homeroom teacher opened it soon enough.

The expression on the Homeroom teacher's face told Leila that the teacher was not the happiest to see the Prince.

"I suppose this is the new student. Come in, you are late."

"Apologies, we had things to do before we were ready," Marcus replied, making the teacher roll her eyes. Clearly not the first time she was hearing his excuses.

"...Right…" She motioned for them to get in.

Leila followed Marcus' lead as she got in front of the class.

What she saw was exactly how it was in her old school.

Boys were gawking, and girls looked jealous.

"Today, we have a transfer student. Introduce yourself." The teacher asked as she spoke to the students.

"Right." Leila nodded before looking at the gathered crowd.

'Here we go again.'

She took a deep breath before speaking.

"I am Liela Malcal, currently working for Anaheim Robotics for Marcus Goldman. I am transferring here to stay closer to my boss as his Assistant." The girl smoothly said her purpose for being here.

"NOOO!!!" A blue-haired teen exclaimed in horror.

"Goldman! I can't believe it! You already have Prez's heart, yet you bring another to the school!" The guy complained while throwing a fit.

"Can't help it, your Prez is running away from me like a scared cat," Marcus replied, shrugging without care.

"L-Lies!"

While the blue-haired teen was borderline crying, the rest of them were gawking at the girl for a simple reason: everyone loved her accent.

"Damn…"

"That Accent!"

"Is she from Europe!?"

The guys were jealous of the guy who walked to his seat in the meantime.

"Enough chit-chat, Miss Malcal, please take a seat in the empty seat provided." The Homeroom teacher got snappy from all of the comments.

"Yes, teacher." The blonde girl nodded as she followed her instructions.

~~~~~~A Few Short Days Later in Pendragon~~~~~~
"As I recall, Grand Duke, you answer directly to His Majesty. Why do you call me?" A blonde man smoothly answered the call from the Grand Duke of Velaines.
"This is because I have something that is for your eyes or His Majesty's eyes only."
"Oh?" The blonde man slightly leaned forward, his curiosity piqued.
"Three days ago, in the middle of a skirmish at the Belarus border with the E.U., our Holy Order of Raphael was destroyed by an unidentified flying object."
"..."
"This… thing not only attacked us, but destroyed the entire advancing European army."
"..."
"The only reason that I know anything about this is because one of our Sutherlands joined the fight late because it was going through its last maintenance check-ups.
This Sutherland was able to record what happened before it retreated from sheer fear it was feeling towards this object."
After explaining, the blonde man received the footage on his computer.
He began to check the video. What he saw was a blurry blue and white machine shooting blue beams at Sutherlands.
All it took was one shot, and the machines blew up.
'No…the explosion came after, the beam melted the frame, damaging the energy filler, that is what caused the explosion.'
The blond man rewatched the whole video several times, trying to figure out what this thing is.
"Why is the machine so blurry?"
"According to the pilot, it was not blurry to him; most likely it's the same interference that is causing it to be invisible to the radar."
'Invisible to the radar? What fascinating technology.'
The blonde man stroked his chin, already thinking about how he could get to use such a technology.
"I will forward this to Camelot, my scientist division, and I will inform His Majesty of this matter at the earliest possible.
Contact me if this object returns as soon as possible and gather as much data as possible."
"I will, Prime Minister. However, we lack sufficient manpower after the fall of the Holy Order of Raphael."
"In that case, I will send an extra supply of Sutherlands, for the ones Euro Britannia lost against this object." The blonde man promised more help; this was an opportunity for him as well to gain some strange technology if this object could be captured.
"My thanks, Prince Schneizel." With a small bow, the Grand Duke finished the call.
Once the communication ended, the Prince leaned into the chair's cushioning and began to think about this phenomenon.
Is it another great power that they will need to compete with?
Regardless, he slowly stood up and decided to arrange a meeting with his father.
'His hobbies are taking more and more of his time.' The Prime Minister of the Empire frowned as he was disappointed with his father.
All that talk about Darwinism, and yet he is getting consumed by some old relics.
'Maybe this phenomenon will get him back to reason.'
With that in mind, he began to arrange a meeting.
~~~

Blue eyes gazed at the light purple as a pair of blondes were in Marcus' workshop doing their homework.

"Is there a reason why you two are doing homework here?" Marcus, who was experimenting on the superstructure of his transporter plane, had to ask as he was feeling growing tensions in the air.

"I need to be here because you could leave again and bring another girl from half across the world again!" Milly commented angrily like a lioness.

"And isn't it a good thing? The more I have, the more time you would have to yourself and your school shenanigans." He commented as his gaze went to her. His reply made her pout like a hamster.

"It's not that I am running away from you. It's that you are more blunt than a hammer!"

Leila nodded to those words.

"And? How is it bad? You know how I feel." He shrugged.

"Ugh… a girl's heart is a delicate thing!" Milly replied, and Leila nodded as well.

"And my words delicately engulf that heart of yours and take it away. What is your point?" He sighed, getting annoyed with the unnecessary complexities.

"You realise how embarrassing this is?" The Prince rubbed his hair from frustration. "Space travel is easier than your weirdness."

"I-It's not weird! Okay!?" She huffed for a second.

"I think it's not the bluntness, it's that Marcus is stealing your thunder," Leila commented as she had her pen close to her lips. The girl had been observing the Student Council President for a couple of days now.

"..."

Marcus looked at his 'Joan of Arc' and smiled. It would seem the greatest strategist of the E.U. picked what's wrong with Milly.

"It makes sense as I tease her back for all the shenanigans she does." The Inventor Prince sagely nodded while commenting on that.

"..." Milly ended up burying her head in her hands.

"I thought so. I thought she would be more annoyed that we share a bed." Leila leisurely dropped that piece of information.

"I am!" Milly returned with force.

"Yet, you run away before making your point." The blonde smirked while saying that.

She was certain that Milly is terrified of Marcus' teasing as he is like a steel, never gets bothered, it's like his Pride is so thick that it's like a second layer of skin.

"Ugh…" The Student Council President groaned as she looked down at the table.

"Honestly, it's fine. Just don't add me to your Totalitarian regime-related games." Marcus motioned to her that he was allowing her to do her shenanigans.

"...Okay…"

"Yep, I will have Leila with me while you can have those games." He grinned, making her narrow her eyes.

"...I don't have any say in this?" Leila looked at Marcus.

"You can choose to be part of her silly games, or you can stay with me while we cuddle." His honest reply made her cheeks heat up for a second.

Over the days they were together, they often did 'cuddle' hugs. He made her sit on his lap while he hugged, and then they had dinner together.

It was like in those romance books, they were like a couple.

"...You know what?!" Milly got their attention back.

"I won't do them anymore! I will do only regular celebrations and occasional games!" All of a sudden, the blonde Student Council President got serious.

"...Sure, but I will have my cuddles." The Prince nonchalantly shrugged. He didn't care; he still needs to design his plane.
