Chapter 57 - Anyone Else Want to Give It a Try

Back at the villa, Wanda immediately rushed to the study, crimson energy lifting a thick, ancient book in front of her.

Turing had thoughtfully prepared tea and snacks for her, and also adjusted the lighting in the room.

"Miss Maximoff, would you like me to read for you?" Turing asked.

"No, thank you."

Wanda, completely absorbed, flipped through the pages. "Where's Xiao Han?"

"The gentleman is in the solar simulation chamber. Do you need me to inform him that you are looking for him?"

"No! Don't!" Wanda quickly shook her head, her cheeks flushed.

"I was just, you know, curious."

Turing was silent for a few seconds, then said, "According to my database, humans in this situation usually exhibit..."

"Turing!"

"Apologies, I will be silent."

Late at night, Wanda finally closed the book.

She rubbed her sore neck and walked towards the balcony, where she was surprised to find Xiao Han suspended in the night sky, surrounded by several golden glowing devices, as if absorbing energy.

He sensed her gaze and slowly landed on the balcony railing.

"Finished reading?"

"Mm."

Wanda nodded, "I don't quite understand some parts, regarding the energy conversion ratio."

Xiao Han landed lightly beside her, the coolness of the night dew still clinging to him. "Which page specifically?"

Wanda flipped to the marked spot. Xiao Han glanced at it, leaning over her hand, and suddenly chuckled, "If you understand it this way... then the correct ratio should be 3:7."

His breath brushed against her ear, carrying a faint scent of mint.

Wanda then realized how close they were, close enough to count his eyelashes.

"How... how do you know that's definitely right?"

"Because I'm Superman."

Xiao Han picked up the book and pointed at his own brain.

Wanda widened her eyes. "Super brain, that powerful?"

"More powerful than you think."

Xiao Han said it casually, returning the book to her. "Go to sleep. We have to get up early tomorrow."

He turned to leave, and Wanda suddenly summoned her courage. "Xiao Han!"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you for teaching me so much."

Under the moonlight, Xiao Han's expression softened a bit. "You learn quickly."

He paused. "Much stronger than Strange."

Wanda asked curiously, "Who's that?"

"A Sorcerer Supreme. The guy got stuck in the Mirror Dimension the first time he tried a [G] Portal."

Xiao Han shook his head. "Sleep, Little Witch."

Watching his departing figure, Wanda hugged her book tightly, a smile playing on her lips.

She was suddenly very much looking forward to tomorrow's training, though she wouldn't admit it even if she died.

The next morning, when the sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains and into the bedroom, Wanda had already packed her bags.

She changed into a pale yellow beach dress, her red hair loosely tied up with a ribbon, and the Mind Stone necklace on her chest glimmered in the sunlight.

"Turing, where's Xiao Han?" she asked softly, stuffing the sunscreen into her small bag.

"The gentleman is in the solar simulation chamber for his morning charging," Turing's voice came from the watch.

"Do you need me to inform him that you are ready?"

Wanda shook her head, crimson energy flickering at her fingertips as she held her things and walked toward the underground laboratory: "No, I'll go myself."

She carefully opened the [G] Portal and entered the underground training room.

Inside the transparent cover of the simulation chamber, Xiao Han was suspended in a pillar of bright white light, the muscle lines under his black vest undulating slightly with his breathing.

His eyelashes were almost transparent in the strong light, and he looked as if he were bathed in liquid sunlight.

Wanda unconsciously held her breath. Just then, Xiao Han suddenly opened his eyes, his golden pupils staring directly at her.

The simulation pod slowly opened, and he landed lightly on the ground.

"It's not polite to peek while others are charging, Miss Maximoff." He smiled and picked up the shirt beside him to put it on.

Wanda's ears turned red. "I just... came to tell you I'm ready."

Xiao Han raised an eyebrow at her carefully chosen outfit. "Looks like someone is really looking forward to a vacation."

"It's training!" Wanda emphasized, but the smile on her face betrayed her.

Xiao Han chuckled softly and raised his hand to draw a Portal.

This time, the other side of the Portal was the sapphire-blue sea of Tahiti. The white sand sparkled under the sunlight, even more dreamlike than Hawaii.

"Let's go over the rules first."

He stepped through the [G] Portal. "Energy control training in the morning, free time in the afternoon."

Wanda cheered and followed, spinning with delight as her bare feet touched the soft sand.

The sea breeze lifted her skirt, and her red hair seemed to burn in the sunlight.

Xiao Han had already walked towards the shallows, the seawater reaching his ankles.

He bent down and cupped a handful of seawater, forming a crystalline coral shape in his palm. "Watch closely."

With his movement, the water coral suddenly split into hundreds of miniature jellyfish, each shimmering with golden light, forming a complex three-dimensional pattern in the air.

Wanda watched, mesmerized, and tried to imitate him. At first, her jellyfish were uneven in size, but she soon managed to control them more precisely.

Crimson energy mixed with the seawater, refracting a rainbow-like halo in the sunlight.

"Not bad."

Xiao Han nodded in approval, "Now try this."

He snapped his fingers, and all the jellyfish suddenly transformed into glowing words, arranging themselves into the basic incantation of Kamar-Taj.

Wanda bit her lip and concentrated. Her jellyfish swarm also began to change shape. Although it was slower, it eventually formed the words "Chaos Magic".

The midday sun grew stronger. Xiao Han conjured two deck chairs and a parasol out of nowhere.

Wanda slumped in the chair, tiny beads of sweat forming on her forehead.

"Tired?" Xiao Han handed her an ice-cold coconut.

Wanda took the coconut, her fingertips unconsciously tracing its smooth surface: "More exhausting than in the training room, but..."

She looked up at the azure sea, "Happier."

Xiao Han leaned back in his lounge chair, his sunglasses concealing his eyes, but the corners of his mouth softened, "Magic stems from emotion. Happiness inspires creativity more than fear."

Wanda nodded thoughtfully, suddenly realizing that her small movements were reflected in Xiao Han's sunglasses.

Her fingers were unconsciously twirling her red hair. She hurriedly put her hand down, pretending to be very interested in the coconut.

In the afternoon, they went to the coral reef area.

Xiao Han taught her how to compress energy into fine threads, exploring the internal structure without harming the coral.

Wanda learned quickly, her scarlet energy moving through the coral like a living thing.

"Sir."

Turing's voice suddenly came from Xiao Han's watch, "Sir, the Monaco race is about to start. Perhaps, this time will be different from before."

A holographic projection unfolded, displaying the scene of the Monaco Grand Prix.

Tony Stark stood on the spectator stand in a flamboyant manner, blowing kisses to the cheering crowd.

When he walked towards his race car, the atmosphere on the field reached a climax.

"Tony is still such a show-off," Xiao Han commented, reaching out to open a small [G] Portal, and a plate of sliced fruit appeared in his hand.

The race soon began, and the race cars rushed out of the starting line.

Tony Stark drove his race car at high speed on the track.

Just then,

In the scene, a man in a jumpsuit suddenly ripped open his shirt, revealing the Arc Reactor on his chest. Two electric whips, like living snakes, lashed out!

"Whoa!" Wanda exclaimed.

The blue electric whips swung towards the approaching race car, instantly splitting it in two.

Gasps arose from the crowd. Soon, the race car Tony was in was getting closer and closer to Whiplash.

Whiplash revealed a cruel smile, and the electric whips slashed towards Tony's car.

The next second…

Tony reached out and pressed the watch on his wrist. The golden-red Nano-Suit instantly covered his entire body.

He caught the electric whip with one hand, and a repulsor blast fired from his palm. Whiplash was immediately blown away, slamming heavily into the barrier.

The entire audience was silent for a second, then erupted in deafening cheers.

Tony flipped up his mask, grinning at the camera, "Anyone else want to give it a shot?"

Wanda couldn't help but laugh, "He really is..."

"Asking for a beating," Xiao Han finished.

He turned off the projection and looked at the setting sun in the distance, "Turing, looks like the playboy doesn't need rescuing."

Wanda gazed at his profile, gilded by the sunset, and suddenly said, "Thank you for bringing me here."

Her voice was soft, "These two days have been the most wonderful training I've ever had."

Xiao Han turned to look at her, his sunglasses sliding down his nose, revealing those golden-colored eyes, "You're welcome, Little Witch."

The sea breeze brushed past, carrying the salty scent of the ocean and the fragrance of jasmine from afar.

Wanda's heartbeat suddenly quickened, a strange emotion taking root in her chest.

Xiao Han simply put his sunglasses back on and reclined in his chair, as if he hadn't noticed anything.
