"Doesn't Auralith Kane take any third year classes?" Princess Marina asked curiously.
"Auralith Kane does take third year classes but in the third year of the academy we are allowed to pick our classes." Lysandria said and Princess Marina's eyes doubled in size in awe.
Chuckling at her expression again, Lysandria said "The picking of classes suitable to us is done under teachers recommendation of course but our personal aspirations are also taken into account." with pride.
"There are still core classes we are required to take but Auralith Kane teaches none of those." Lysandria with joy and Princess Marina chuckled.
Moments before reaching the Academy school grounds, the train suddenly took a turn to a train station Princess Marina didn't notice on her first day here and for the third time since she came to the Academy, Princess Marina wondered who wrote that stupid map she read on the welcome ceremony day.
Parting amicably with her senior, Princess Marina headed to the library while Lysandria headed to a particular class in a particular building.
"So?" a voice asked.
"What are your thoughts on Princess Marina?" A voice asked.
"She appears reasonable, smart and extremely resourceful." said Lysandria.
"And how did you come to this conclusion?" the voice asked.
"On the welcome ceremony day she acted fast and saved the other first years on her golem and on the hazing ritual, Princess Marina was the main reason her room was able to bypass the hazing ritual." said Lysandria.
"Decisive with the ability to sway others." the voice said with interest.
"With qualities like that and power strong enough to trigger a class four overload at that age, it would be a shame if she becomes an obstacle instead of a companion." the voice said in amusement.
In the Library
Princess Marina
"I thought the library in the castle was already large but this," Princess Marina thought as she looked at the rows and columns of books.
"Is just ridiculous." Princess Marina said as she wondered around
Reading the labels above, Princess Marina followed the directions to the section that pertains to her when she heard a grunt of pain.
"Who could that be?" Princess Marina thought as she moved towards the noise silently.
"How dare you approach me when you are useless and nothing but a two star rank?" Maldareth asked with a glare in his dark purple eyes.
"I was almost successful but-" Bryan Frost tried to say but Maldareth punched him in the stomach and Bryan Frost went down like a sack of potatoes.
"Silence!" Maldareth said with a glare that made Princess Marina jump.
"Thank the Goddess father requires all illegitimate children to bear their mother's surnames or I would have died of embarrassment!" Maldareth said as he turned to leave.
"I can still be of use!" Bryan Frost pleaded desperately.
"Him being a four star rank doesn't make him untouchable, if anything there must be a lot more people dissatisfied with him." Bryan Frost said desperately.
"Talk, all you do is talk." Maldareth said as he bent down to stare at Bryan Frost straight in the eyes.
"I want results." Maldareth stressed and Bryan Frost hurriedly nodded.
"I will get them." Bryan Frost shakily promised.
"You better." Maldareth said as he straightened up and walked away with Kaelrix Nyxar.
Coughing uncontrollably, Bryan Frost said "If not for the money sponsored by Maldareth that allows me to buy weapons, why would I be reduced to this state?" as he sat up with his back to the bookshelf he was leaning on.
"It seems no one in Alvonia can escape family problems." Princess Marina thought with a shake of her head as she walked away as quickly as she could.
Looking right and looking left to make sure no one saw her, Princess Marina quietly took the long route to the exit. Few steps from the exit, Princess Marina breathed a sigh of relief that she didn't bump into anyone but when she caught a glimpse of dark brown hair and hazel eyes in the academy school uniform, Princess Marina suddenly began running.
"Gale!" Princess Marina called, forgetting she was in a quiet library.
"Gale!" Princess Marina shouted desperately as she tried to reach him but the minute she stepped out of the library Gale seemed to have vanished.
"Was I hallucinating again?" Princess Marina thought to herself.
"No," Princess Marina thought in fear.
"I thought I was finally doing better." Princess Marina thought as tears gathered in her eyes.
"No," Princess Marina thought as she shook her head in pain.
"I am doing better!" Princess Marina thought, as she wiped her tears hurriedly.
"My mind is not playing tricks on me!" Princess Marina said firmly.
"He must be here somewhere." Princess Marina said as she began running again but the minute she took a sharp turn, Princess Marina collided with someone that caused her to bounce back three steps.
