Chapter 50 - Chapter 50:

They were truly a bunch of brainless fools, how dare they insult their sister-in-law! With just a single second, Director Anderson could make these people lose every place to stand in Alchimie City. If they didn't believe it, they were welcome to try!

Seeing someone even mention Director Anderson's name, Ronan felt his heart sink. If that name was brought up, their Director Anderson would surely be fine but he feared that his sister-in-law would be viciously cursed instead.

Just the thought of Rosy's fragile, pitiful face made Ronan burn with rage. Someone whom even Director Anderson couldn't bear to touch, yet they dared to scold her?

Breathing heavily, Ronan unlocked his phone, intending to check whether anything had happened on Facebook. But who could have expected that the moment he opened it, two blinding hot searches slammed into his eyes.

The two hot searches were arrogantly occupying the first and second places.

Only when Ronan read those filthy rumors on Facebook did he realize that his sister-in-law had truly been bullied and bullied miserably. She was probably heartbroken right now, her small face pale, her body curled up and trembling like a helpless, frightened rabbit. Forget Director Anderso even Ronan himself felt pain in his chest just imagining it.

His fingers clattered wildly across the keyboard. What should he do? Of course, remove the hot searches, lower the public's attention, minimize the harm his sister-in-law had to endure.

But before he could act, the two hot searches vanished like a receding tide, disappearing completely. In their place appeared a new trending topic: "The Film Emperor Goes Too Far" but it wasn't nearly as explosive and caused barely any waves.

Ronan's fingers stiffened above the keyboard.

The hot searches… disappeared? Vanished just like that?

A normal person couldn't possibly pull that off. Could it have been Director Anderson? Or was some powerful figure secretly helping his sister-in-law?

If such a person really existed, wouldn't that make them Director Anderson's love rival?

At that thought, Ronan felt as if he had swallowed a fly. His face twisted. Should he report this to Director Anderson? But it was only speculation, if there wasn't actually some powerful figure involved, wouldn't he end up harming his sister-in-law? With the Ninth Master's stubborn temper, he would definitely explode.

Just imagining it made Ronan shudder, so he decided to wait for the right moment.

At the same time.

 Anderson Corporation.

Captian was sitting in his office conducting a meeting when suddenly his phone chimed a Facebook notification, apparently.

During meetings, he never touched his phone. He continued flipping through documents, his cold voice echoing steadily through the room. The entire office was filled with a suffocating chill.

The directors felt as though they were sitting on burning coals, but they knew the director's temper, so each one endured with pale faces, looking as though they had swallowed a fly.

After who knows how long, Captian finally closed the file and said, "Meeting adjourned."

The directors exhaled in collective relief, their expressions brightening. They gathered their things, stood up, pulled out their phones, and opened Facebook out of habit.

The moment they saw the hot search, they froze in terror.

Their mighty, indomitable Director Anderson was rumored to be keeping a female university student? Not only that, it had even hit the hot search, occupying both first and second place.

Heavens!

The directors exchanged secret looks, troubled, but none dared to speak.

Captian noticed instantly. His gaze swept across them, and the room grew frostier.

"What else do you have to say?"

The directors trembled, their faces tense.

"Director Anderson, we... we just checked Facebook. It seems there's some… rumor about you."

About him?

Captian frowned and motioned for them to leave so he could check Facebook alone.

The directors bolted from the room as though chased by a beast.

Ronan was watching a video when his phone lit up with Captian's icy voice. Even through the line, it sent shivers down his spine, nearly scaring him to death.

"Director Anderson, what happened on Facebook?" Ronan clutched his phone, sweating coldly. He truly had no idea what Captian was referring to.

Captian's cold voice came again:

"Check the hot search."

Ronan obediently tapped into the trending page. When he saw the first and second entries, his eyes widened, and he nearly cursed out loud.

He had clearly removed those hot searches earlier but now they were boldly sitting at the top again. And worse, Director Anderson had seen them.

Now the director would think he wasn't doing his job!

Captian tightened his grip on the phone, expression unreadable.

"What exactly happened?"

He had only been in a meeting for a short while, yet negative comments were now flooding everywhere. It meant nothing to him but to Rosy, it was a different story.

She had been insulted terribly; even walking outside or attending school now meant being pointed at.

His little bride was someone only he was allowed to bully. Others had no right.

His eyes grew sharper, colder, he nearly crushed the phone.

Swallowing hard, Ronan felt the temperature around him drop further, as though everything might freeze over. He parted his lips cautiously:

"Director Anderson, do you remember Liona?"

"Who?" Captian's voice sank lower.

"That girl from the Robbery family, the one who came to the villa some time ago."

The blue glow of Ronan's computer screen lit his face as he added carefully:

"She was probably jealous because sister-in-law didn't beg for her. She posted on the school forum… saying sister-in-law was being kept by someone."

On the other end of the line, Captian's face darkened. He said nothing.

Jealous?

 She was worthy of jealousy?

Ronan wet his lips and continued:

"Maybe Liona only wanted to vent, so she didn't reveal Director Anderson's name. But netizens these days are terrifying give them the tiniest clue and they'll track everything down. Some curious students tagged Director Anderson, and because your influence is too great, everything blew up afterward."

"Hmph."

Captian's cold snort sent chills down Ronan's spine.

"Director Anderson, I already deleted the hot searches earlier, but they suddenly shot back to the top. That shows how much attention this is getting. Even if I delete them again, they'll just come back. Could you… give me some guidance? How should we handle this?"

On the other end, Captian tapped the desk lightly, his eyes deep and ruthless. If someone had been in the room with him, they would have been terrified.

Suddenly, the tapping stopped. His thin lips curved slightly.

"Don't bother with the Facebook hot search. Bring me her ID card and household registration book."
