I felt that sudden warmness around me, as the alarm grinned. I pulled the duvet down to my legs, stretching my arms so freely and weirdly, like some Amityville demons had possessed me.
Yeah,it was morning. And the sunrays were slightly penetrating into the louvred windows, reminding me that a new term had just resumed and I would still continue with my late- going.
The room lights suddenly turned on as I slipped off the bed.
A stupid, familiar figure was standing by the doorway.
"Harry, what the hell is wrong with you? Why did you turn on the lights? " I screamed at my brother.
He stood still, his arms around his chest, sniggering," What the hell is wrong with me? Oh, you should be the one to visit the psychiatric hospital; there's something wrong with you rather! You can't even thank me for waking you up, sleepyhead!"
" I was awake before you turned on the lights! Why are you so annoying, tsk!... Wasn't it better if I never had a brother? " I glared at him, clenching my jaw.
" Pisces are always sad and I think that aspect is affecting your life everyday!" He sniggered, " Wouldn't you like to be a Leo like me? There's always nothing bothering us. We own the universe like this!" I watched him pulled out his fist weirdly.
"Get out of this room... I don't have any thing to do with zodiac signs, urgh!" I threw the pillows at him.
He dodged them and stood by the doorway again," Alright, I'm sorry, Miss Piscean Girl. "
" You can never be serious!" I collapsed on the bed again, then stared at the ceiling, pouting my lips.
"Mother said I should turn on the lights...I know she's still unhappy with your results. You know you have always been a dumb type; actually not like me. Leos are always...on the TOP!"He sniggered,as I slowly stood up to pounce on him (I was good in high-jump).
"Goodbye Miss Piscean dumb gurl!" He jabbered and slammed the door, as if he knew what was going to happen next without a warning from me.
I stared tensed at the door and clenched my fists."He was lucky he left fast enough! Tsk!"
The bed drew me back again, but this time, I closed my eyes in tiredness. Tiredness from going to school.School was so boring without knowing a single thing; A single subject!
"Why me?" Mumbling under my breath, I sighed.
Well I know mother has not been happy with my results since I got into the high school, but I always tell myself that horses can't fly. And maybe, I should keep waiting on an academic miracle to happen in my life. Funny right?
The only thing I was good at was sports , talking to myself and playing online games with my Android. No serious school friends, just Liliana. I call her Lily , because she likes flowers. She's the intelligent type. And a Cancer of the Zodiac sign, from her goggle research.
She hates sports, but I hate books. Friends will always have two or more contrasts.
My phone suddenly buzzed. It was messages from Lily.
Lily: (1)Ei, good morning.
(2)You aren't in school? We're already having our resumption test and only those who wrote will have their name registered!
(3) It's Math Test, sorry!
I stared at the messages for a while, already daydreaming. What if I just turn into a Supergirl and appear into my class desk right now, without any students noticing; and my expo books with me?
Ahah, good idea! So, what's the first...
"Chloe-Annie?" That hoarse voice suddenly brought me back to reality. Those full names of mine always came out from the Lioness of the house, whenever she's angry over me.I widened my eyes at the figure standing akimbo before me.
"Mother?"
"Do you know what's time now? The trambus has waited enough and left... and you are still sleeping? This child!..." She shook her head," You are becoming weirder everyday. I just pray that God intervenes into your sucky life!" She said and walked away.
" My sucky life?? How sucky is it? " I slipped off the bed and jumped into the bedroom.
"Bellingham High School, here I come!"
**************
Dressed on a white blouse and pleated skirt, I stood before Father, hanging the school bag on my shoulder."Dad?"
He pulled away the newspaper from his face and adjusted his eye-glasses,"Chloe, aren't you late to..."
"Yes,Pa... but, the trambus has left!"
"So what are you still doing here?" He pulled the newspaper to his face," Chase the Trambus! My car is weak!"
"Pa!" I widened my eyes," It's been long it left!"
"You must chase it! I told you already that my car is weak." Father snapped, looking away.
I glanced at my wrist watch and saw that I needed to run a marathon to school right now.
"Okay, Pa...Bye..." I said in a cool tone, leaving.
"...Bye."He said in his casual tone.
I slammed the door and left the compound. The road was so dry. I stood at the pavement, like I knew that another trambus would pass by.
Time was ticking.
I was getting very late.
Then suddenly,a small puppy jumped out of a flower shrub. It looked beautiful and needed to be taken care of. It stared at me,then I approached and squated before it.
"You...so beautiful!" I whispered to its hearing, yanking off the thorns on its fur.
It licked my wrist, like it liked me now.
"I know you must be lost...How about I take care of..."
The sudden zoom of a vehicle drew my attention.
It was the trambus;it just picked an anonymous student, living close to my house!
My eyes widened," No,it can't be. This must be the last trambus!" I cried," No,no,no!"
CHASE THE TRAMBUS!!!, As father said.
It wasn't late,so I had to chase it, afterall I was a very good runner.
I glanced at the little puppy and grinned,"Maybe I'll meet you someday!"
Then, I began chasing the trambus effortlessly, like it was fun... but the trambus was running faster now.
I waved at the reflection from the kerb mirror,"Hey, wait for me, please!"
"Please!"
I ran as fast as I could, even though I was becoming tired. Our sport Coach once said," Runners never give up!"
And fortunately, the trambus slowed down, as if the driver saw me waving and running towards it.
With my last strength and force, I dived into the trambus and fell down helplessly , dragging a strange student, without my concept. I thought I would be held back from the fall, but we both fell together.
The students in the trambus muttered words, like I actually committed a real taboo.
