Chapter 1 - Trouble with Aiden

★ ★

Luna Hart wasn't just the Queen Bee of Prestige High — she was Prestige High. Every hallway echoed with her laughter, every whisper had her name in it.

Pretty. Sexy. Ruthless.

She was the kind of girl who made people both worship her and wish she'd disappear.

Teachers feared her because she could twist anything into her favor.

Her parents? They'd long given up trying to control her. Luna always had a reason, a lie, or a tear at the perfect moment.

If she forgot her homework, she'd blame someone else.

If she cheated, she'd frame a "friend."

If she was caught, she'd flutter her lashes and turn the blame around like it was nothing.

And everyone fell for it.

---

Then came Aiden Cross, the school's senior prefect — tall, sharp, and with that I-don't-care smirk every girl hated to love.

He was the school's playboy — charming, cocky, and annoyingly smart. His gang ruled the seniors just like Luna ruled the juniors. They were opposites, but they shared one dangerous trait — they loved control.

---

It started on a Wednesday morning.

Luna's class had been loud, throwing paper balls during morning inspection.

When Aiden and his gang stormed in, the room went silent.

> "Everyone kneel," Aiden said, his tone calm but cold.

"You think school rules don't apply to you?"

Luna stood, arms crossed, her glossed lips curving into a mocking smile.

> "Oh please. You think you scare me? You're just a senior prefect, not the president."

Gasps filled the room. Aiden's gaze flickered to her — amused.

> "You must be Luna," he said. "The famous troublemaker."

> "Correction," she snapped. "Famous queen."

***********

Aiden leaned closer, his voice low.

> "Then kneel, Your Majesty."

The class went still. Luna's pride burned. Her heart raced — she never kneeled for anyone. But under everyone's eyes, she slowly dropped to her knees, glaring up at him like fire.

Still, her mouth wouldn't stay shut.

> "Power's getting to your head, playboy. Your girlfriend couldn't even control you, now you're pretending to control me?"

***************

Laughter rippled through the room — and Aiden's smirk faded just a little.

He turned to his prefects.

> "Ten more minutes for her class. She wants attention — let's give her all of it."

**********

Luna's glare could've melted steel. But she stayed there, fuming, plotting. Because that's what she did best — she never fought fair.

By the next morning, rumors were flying that Aiden had punished her because she rejected him. Luna had spread them herself, smiling sweetly every time someone asked for "the real story."

Aiden heard the rumors, of course.

He didn't get angry — he got interested.

**************

From that day, the battle between the Queen Bee and the Playboy began.

Every insult she threw, he caught.

Every rumor she spread, he turned to a challenge.

And for the first time in her life… Luna met someone who didn't fall for her games — someone who could sting back just as hard.

******

The laughter in the classroom was cut short when Aiden's voice dropped, smooth but sharp.

> "Everyone else can sit," he said, his eyes never leaving Luna.

"Except her. She's coming with me."

The room buzzed in shock.

> "What?" Luna snapped, glaring. "I'm not your—"

> "Now," Aiden said quietly, but there was something in his tone that froze her words.

No one dared to speak as he turned and walked out. Luna hesitated for a moment — her pride screamed no — but she followed, heels clicking like gunshots on the polished floor.

---

Aiden's class — the senior prefects' room — was silent when he walked in, Luna right behind him. His friends looked up, surprised.

> "She's your punishment?" one of them joked.

> "No," Aiden said, setting his bag down. "She's hers."

Luna folded her arms, chin raised high.

> "You think making me kneel is going to hurt my feelings?"

> "No," Aiden said, pulling up a chair and sitting down lazily. "It'll hurt your pride. Kneel."

The word echoed like a slap. For the first time, Luna's confidence cracked. She glanced around — the seniors were watching, curious, whispering.

> "You can't—"

> "I can," Aiden cut her off. "You embarrassed me in front of your class, insulted the prefect board, and broke three school rules this week. You should be expelled. But since I'm in a good mood, you'll kneel here for ten minutes and apologize."

Luna's blood boiled.

> "You're just doing this because your rich parents make you think you can control everyone."

Aiden's smirk deepened.

> "Funny. Your parents think the same — but at least mine raised me."

The class went silent. The words hit like a whip. Luna's jaw tightened, eyes burning, but she dropped to her knees — not because he scared her, but because she refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing her break.

She stayed still, glaring up at him with fire in her eyes.

And he sat there, watching her, completely calm — like a king observing his rival's fall.

---

When the bell rang, Aiden leaned forward.

> "You can go now."

Luna stood slowly, brushing invisible dust off her skirt.

> "You'll regret this," she said softly. "No one embarrasses me and gets away with it."

Aiden leaned back in his chair, smiling.

> "Looking forward to seeing you try, Your Majesty."

---

That day, Luna didn't go back to class.

She went straight to the girls' lounge, face flushed with anger and humiliation. She hated him — his arrogance, his power, the way the teachers respected him just because his parents owned half the city.

But deep down, something about the way he handled her — calm, steady, and unbothered — lingered in her mind.

For once, Luna Hart, the Queen Bee of Prestige High, had met her match.
