Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Ways to Survive in the Tower of Cultivation

"There are many ways to survive in a cultivation world. I may have forgotten a few, but the fact that you're reading this means you will definitely survive in the world of cultivation."

The Great Tower of Cultivation.

The webnovel Han Yi Feng has been reading for seven years has finally come to an end.

Author: Ying Shen

Chapters: 3,502

A novel that ran for seven years.

Han Yi Feng has been consistently reading this novel since he was in middle school. He turned to it when he was bullied, when he felt sad, when he was happy, and even when he was bored. It was his escape from reality.

The premise of the cultivation novel was simple: mortals with spirit roots are chosen by the obelisks to climb to the edge of the tower, mostly in pursuit of immortality. However, not all characters in the novel seek immortality.

As Han Yi Feng scrolled down to the bottom of the webnovel, his hands trembled as he held his phone tightly, sitting in a squishy seat on a moving bus.

"There's still an epilogue? Does that mean this is the last chapter?" he muttered inwardly.

Author's Last Words: "Thank you for reading The Tower of Cultivation up to this chapter, and yes, the next chapter is really the epilogue."

From middle school to adulthood, it felt like the world was crashing down on him.

"No, this can't be the end! There has to be a season two or something!"

Quickly, Han Yi Feng typed a comment in the comment section, which was as empty as a freshly cleaned fridge.

Many had dropped the novel after the tenth chapter, labelling it as trash because of the harem the main character had. But if they had just been patient, they would have seen how great the story truly was.

"Miss Ying Shen, will there be a season two or something? There are still so many plot holes! Like when the main character killed the Sword Emperor on the 35th floor without knowing it was a clone? Or the main character's 790th regression, which wasn't complete either. Please, I need some answers."

Han Yi Feng clicked the send button after confirming there were no mistakes in his message.

Five minutes later, the bus came to a stop, and one of his co-workers entered and sat close to him. Her name was Su Yan. She worked in the technological factory of the company and had mastered several languages, including Chinese, Korean, and English.

Suddenly, she turned her gaze toward Han Yi.

"Oh! Han, how are you?" she asked with a smile, her brown hair flowing lazily over her brown top suit.

"Is she talking to me?" Han Yi Feng questioned inwardly.

At twenty-two years old, he didn't talk much with his co-workers and usually faded into the background—someone you wouldn't notice unless you looked closely. Yet, the most beautiful office co-worker was speaking to him.

"I... I am fine," Han Yi Feng replied, startled.

"Are you reading a webnovel?" she asked, glancing at his phone.

Han Yi Feng nodded lazily.

"I read webnovels too! What kind are you reading?"

The question made Han Yi Feng feel ashamed. He wasn't reading a popular novel; it was one of the most obscure stories out there. But he didn't want to deny it.

"The Tower of Cultivation."

Su Yan didn't laugh at him; instead, she continued the conversation with genuine interest.

"Hey, this must be your favourite, right? I once had a favourite cultivation novel, too."

"What was it called again?" she asked, placing her hand softly on her chin as she thought.

Suddenly, a realisation struck her, and she opened her eyes. "Ah, yes! I remember. Top Tier Providence. I really loved how diligent the main character was in that novel. Too bad it ended at a thousand chapters."

"Really? I liked that novel too! I used to read it because the main character has the same family name as me."

A few moments later, Su Yan received a phone call from her father and excused herself to talk.

Meanwhile, Han Yi Feng received a reply to his comment

Author: "Hello, thank you for reading The Tower of Cultivation for a complete seven years. I know there are inconsistencies due to the rush I had to make to deliver the chapters to you. But because of you, I even won a star prize! As a thank you, I would like to give you a gift. Please do not read the epilogue, as doing so will prevent you from fully enjoying the old chapters when it really matters. Also, send me your email so I can send you a gift for helping me win a competition."

Without wasting a moment, Han Yi Feng quickly sent his email.

Sure enough, the gift arrived sooner than expected.

Message: "You will be able to open this gift in ten minutes."

"Ten minutes is exactly 7 PM. I can wait that long," Han Yi Feng muttered to himself.

However, he couldn't shake the feeling that something significant was going to happen at seven— but what could it be?

Suddenly, Su Yan held her phone, her face filled with shock.

"Is this real? An obelisk tower just appeared in Japan and Korea!" she exclaimed. "My father said that monsters rushed out of it."

Han Yi Feng's eyes widened in disbelief.

Then again, this was 2052; anything could be created with AI, even news channels that weren't trustworthy.

"It might be AI; don't believe everything you see on social media," Han Yi Feng said with a calming smile, trying to soothe Su Yan.

Su Yan sat back in haste, but her expression betrayed her as Han Yi observed her closely. Yes, she was scared. Her family was in Japan—what would happen to them if this was real?

The reason she believed this wasn't AI at all was that her mom had told her she was the only survivor in her office. But she couldn't just accept that, right?

Unfortunately, she was right.

Suddenly, an earthquake rumbled and the bus began to shake violently. The driver stopped the bus and shouted, "Get down, everyone! There's an earthquake!"

Han Yi Feng and Su Yan quickly dropped to the floor of the bus.

Han Yi Feng unlocked his email to check once more. There were still twenty seconds left before it reached 7 PM. Panic took hold as he instinctively counted with the timer.

Suddenly, a massive towering structure erupted from the ground, stretching towards the sky. The night, which had been a deep blue, darkened as if it were already midnight. The moon transformed into a brilliant crimson.

The tower continued to rise, its peak disappearing beyond the view of the naked eye. Houses outside were swallowed up by the tower.

Han Yi Feng hurried to his feet and stared at the structure.

"What the hell is happening?"

"Is the cultivation world coming to us?" he wondered inwardly as he stepped forward.

The passengers began to murmur, their panic evident in their voices.

"What is happening?"

"What is that tower?"

"Should we call the police?"

"The police aren't answering."

Han Yi Feng's thoughts raced. If the tower of cultivation had suddenly become real, then there was no saving them; they were all in danger.

Out of nowhere, a blue translucent screen appeared in front of Han Yi Feng.
