After my first-period class ended I would simply walk around the school campus. There aren't really classes I could take that could help me grow in terms of magic and swordsmanship. So what better way to waste time than to go on a walk?
Of course though as soon as I started my walk, I began to think about a lot of things. Most of the thoughts weren't anything important, except for a couple. One of them was me thinking of ways I could possibly ask Kiara out of course, while the other one was if I should go on vacation to the Magic City of Sharia and visit my grandparents. My white-grandma to be more specific. It's fun that my red-grandma, who is my birth grandma, is here and all but I wouldn't necessarily say that I am close with her.
While I was very deep in thought, I accidentally bumped into a black-haired female who was standing in the middle of the courtyard. You'd think my immediate reaction would be "What the hell? Watch where you're going, you blockhead!?" but this was my reaction.
"Ouch… What the hell..?" I look down and see the girl who I had bumped into.
'Wow, she's really good looking huh…' is what I thought until I saw her face and finally knew who I had bumped into. This black-haired beauty is named Kyra Cruel, she is the daughter of the Water God Reida and Gatekeeper of Asura Doga. She's what people would call my rival in a way I guess?
"Ouch! Who bumped into me!?" She yelled before turning around and seeing yours truly of course. Her face went from anger to disgust. "Oh. It's just the idiot prince.." She sighed.
"Wow, make it a little bit nicer next time? Also, I'm not necessarily at fault here. You could've simply moved out of my way so I could continue thinking about some things."
She obviously didn't like the way I responded and pointed at me.
"Whatever. Let's have a duel right now so I can say that I'm the strongest here now alright?" She declared.
I sighed before making two stone swords. I threw one of them to Kyra and got into my Sword God Style stance. I just wanted to get this over with so I could boast in her face of course and try to get a reward or whatever out of it. Kyra assumed a North God Style stance and got ready to move. I should note though that before we continue Kyra is Advanced in North God and is a Water Saint at this current moment. Her being a saint somewhat puts me at a disadvantage since I can't fight against Water God Style practitioners as well for some reason.
Before Kyra could finish moving first, I moved before her using Longsword of Light. The only way that Kyra could've countered my Longsword of Light was if she used the Water God Style Technique "Flow" or just simply take the hit. If she was a Sword Saint too, then she might've been able to counter the Longsword of Light with "Light Reversal".
Kyra did nothing but take the hit from the Longsword of Light and jumped back to get into a Water God stance and started to heal the wound I gave her.
"Wow, surprised that you were able to withstand that attack." I taunted her. She showed no emotion from that.
All she did was just stand there. It pissed me off, so naturally, I shot a stone bullet at her but she obviously cut through it. I shot a high-power waterball at her and she deflected it right back at me which shocked me. This pissed me off even more and I played right into her trap and charged at her with the intent to finish this.
"This is over!" I shouted. When I went to strike Kyra used the Technique: Flow on me. If I wasn't quick on my feet, or if Kyra knew how to use Longsword of Light then I'd be done for.
I casted Quagmire the second she countered me which caused her footing to be off, but the stone sword still hit me rather hard.
"Shit!" I groaned in pain and started to chant a healing spell on my back. Kyra on the other hand stood up in a prideful position and started to laugh.
"Hahaha! This is my win now Everett you hear me!? My win!" She boasted at me.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever so what you can beat me in a fight sometimes. I know something that you can't beat me in at all." I smirked. She tilted her head in confusion.
"What the hell are you talking about you sore loser?"
The moment she called me a sore loser it felt like I almost popped a blood vessel. So what other way than to get her back by putting her on the ground? I grabbed her ankle and pulled her down onto the ground and started to laugh.
"Looks like we're both down so it doesn't matter now!" I laughed.
Kyra made a pouty face and smacked the back of my head before laughing. For some odd reason being around her calms me down more than being around Kiara. Maybe because we've been acquainted longer? Or maybe because I have some hidden feelings for her or something, which would be disgusting since it's her we're talking about. I guess having a childhood friend be your lover isn't a bad idea… Just look at Grandpa and White-Grandma!
Either way, whatever I'm feeling right now is not normal. For her at least anyways. After we messed around in the courtyard for a while, school ended and I made my way home.
