Chapter 14 - 14. Lunch with Devil

I opened my mouth to say something anything but Mom was already walking ahead, Aunt Marie beside her, talking and giggling.

Mike fell into step next to me and slung an arm across my shoulders like we were best friends.

I hated it, but I couldn't shake him off.

"Alex… this your mom?" he asked, voice low and mocking.

I just nodded, trying to shrug his arm away.

"She's quite the beauty, huh?" He stared straight at her ass swaying in front of us, not even hiding it.

"You're making me jealous, man. All these gorgeous women around you." His grin widened. "Rose, Marie… and now your mom. Especially that slut Marie."

I froze. He just called Aunt Marie a slut. To my face.

"Have you seen her ass?" he laughed.

"Come on, don't lie. You've definitely jerked off thinking about it at least once." I wanted to punch him.

"I'll tell you a little secret," he leaned in, breath hot against my ear. "She's got this cute beauty mark right on that big, smooth ass."

My stomach twisted. He pulled back, laughing like he'd told the funniest joke ever.

"Now that I'm seeing your mom and Marie side by side… damn. Marie's still number one, but your mom is no joke. Just looking at that ass makes me wanna smack it red." He wasn't even pretending to whisper anymore.

"Don't talk about my mom like that," I finally forced out, voice shaking. I tried again to shrug his arm off.

His grip turned to iron.

"Hey, remember how easily I beat you last time?" he said, smile gone. "You didn't tell her it was me, right?"

"N-no… I didn't."

"Good boy." He patted my shoulder hard, smirk back in place. "I hope you keep cooperating just like that."

How much I wanted to punch him, I knew I couldn't do shit. He was stronger, richer, and had everything on me. So I just swallowed the anger and hoped this nightmare would end soon.

We reached a small café-restaurant that was packed wall-to-wall.

"Wow, this place is jumping," Mom said, looking around.

"It's Sunday. We're not getting a table," Aunt Marie sighed.

"Look, corner table, four seats!" Mike pointed like he'd just discovered gold.

He led the way, one hand lightly on the small of Aunt Marie's back, the other gesturing Mom forward like a perfect gentleman.

"Ladies first!" he grinned, pulling out chairs for both of them.

Mom actually blushed. "What a sweet boy."

I wanted to throw up.

We sat, Mom and me on one side, Mike and Aunt Marie on the other. Mike made sure he was directly across from Mom.

The waiter came. Mike ordered for everyone without asking, like he owned the place.

While waiting, he turned the charm to maximum.

"So, Mrs. Carter, Alex never told me his mom was this beautiful," he said with that fake innocent smile.

Mom laughed, waving him off. "Oh stop it, you're too kind."

"No, really! You look like you could be his older sister." Aunt Marie forced a laugh too, but her eyes flicked to me, nervous.

"You're really something, Mike. Smart, captain of the baseball team, and you even train people part-time? I had no idea Alex had such an impressive friend at school."

"Haha, now you're embarrassing me, Mrs. Carter."

"You can just call me Alina," Mom said with that warm, trusting smile.

Mike leaned back in his chair, flashing that perfect fake smile at Mom. "Alina, you said you just started doing exercise, right?"

Mom nodded, happy someone asked. "Yes! Just today. I'm still a total beginner."

"Beginners are the best to train," Mike said smoothly, eyes flicking to me for half a second.

"They listen. They improve fast when someone shows them the right way."

Mom laughed softly. "I could definitely use some pointers. I feel so stiff sometimes."

Mike's grin widened. "I coach a few ladies your age after practice. Private sessions. Nothing crazy, just stretching, breathing, getting the body to move the way it's supposed to."

Aunt Marie shifted in her seat, staring at her plate. Mom tilted her head, clearly interested.

"Really? That sounds nice… but I don't think I can make it. I'm always busy with house chores, so I just exercise at home."

"Don't worry," Mike said, voice warm and helpful. "If you ever need guidance, I'm only a call away."

He shot me a quick glance, daring me to open my mouth.

"Of course," Mom replied with that soft, trusting smile she always gives people she likes.

"You're Alex's friend. I trust you."
