~Leon's POV~
I looked up at the maid with a calm, cold resolve. "Let him in."
The maid looked startled, her gaze lingering for a second on how intimately we were positioned before she bowed and went to the door. I felt Beck's heart hammering against my arm like a trapped bird.
"Stay," I whispered into his ear, my breath grazing his skin. "You have nothing to be afraid of. You belong here."
I heard the heavy front doors swing open, followed by the sharp, impatient click of Theo's heels on the marble floor. He rounded the corner into the living room, a demanding question already on his lips, but he froze mid-step.
His eyes locked onto the sofa.
Theo stood there, paralyzed, his gaze darting from my hands wrapped around Beck's waist to the way my oversized shirt slipped off Beck's shoulder. The air in the room turned ice-cold. For a moment, the only sound was the movie's low soundtrack playing in the background.
