~Leon's POV~
It was a message from Theo. My blood ran cold as I read the words:
"I hope you enjoyed your little performance tonight, Leon," he said coldly. "Because I'll make sure that boy regrets ever stepping into this industry."
I stared at the message for a heartbeat, my jaw tightening. I knew Theo, he was a master of empty threats and dramatic exits. He wanted me to panic, to call him, to give him one more ounce of my attention.
I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction.
Without a word, I swiped the notification away and powered the phone down completely, tossing it onto the nightstand with a dull thud. I didn't reply.
"Everything okay?" Beck asked, his voice soft as he watched me from the pillows.
"Perfect," pushing the thought of Theo out of my mind.
I shifted back over him, my weight settling between his legs. I watched the way his eyes darkened as I returned my focus entirely to him.
