''Xueyao,'' the crazy girl raged as her icy arrows remained frozen on the spot. ''What witchcraft have you done on my arrows?!''
The ancient dragon observing watched as those three idiots refused to back down. Xueyao gazed in confusion at the three as she had no idea what was happening.
''You..you will not escape this!''
Bringing her hands painfully apart, her two minions watched as she drew a lot of her spiritual energy from her body in a mad attempt to destroy her.
He grew bored seeing the gang find new ways to embarrass themselves. One look at the icy arrows had them flying in the opposite direction towards the bullies. Lan Meiyun and the other two screamed when the arrows suddenly began to backfire. Lan Yuitan bravely conjured up a protective magical shield against the flying arrows as they all took refuge behind him.
Xueyao watched them all struggle to avoid being hurt by the flying arrows and she never could have imagined seeing the fear and desperation to not get hurt on their faces. It was a scene she was willing to carry to her grave.
''What is wrong with you, Lan Yuitan? Can't you make the shield bigger and stronger so we wouldn't get killed by it?!'' Lan Meiyun raged at the immortal before her trembling to resist against the force of the arrows.
Suddenly, Xueyao stared up and unexpectedly locked eyes with the immortal black dragon.
He noticed how her eyes widened on him in surprise. The dragon slowly tilted his head a bit to the side with a smile when she wouldn't stop staring at him.
One of the arrows successfully penetrated the barrier to graze Lan Meiyun on the right side of her neck. The blue dragon collapsed on her knees in pain as she placed her hand quickly on the injury to stop the bleeding. Lan Zixuan fell beside her to help.
''Lan Yituian,'' she groaned out in unbearable pain as the shield began to weaken and more arrows began to fly in. ''Do you really want to get me killed?''
Out of nowhere, the arrows flying around them got destroyed by a foreign force and Lan Yuitan collapsed in exhaustion before his group. Xueyao and the rest watched as the female white dragon appeared before them, preventing Meiyun, Zixuan and Yuitan from being brutally murdered by the flying ice arrows.
''Xueyao,'' The female white dragon began, ''How dare you try to kill your mates!''

Xueyao's lips parted at the misunderstanding. Lan Meiyun saw this as a golden opportunity to get Xueyao into some serious trouble. So she began to crawl towards the white dragon and lay beside her feet to pretend as if she had been gravely hurt by the girl.
''Your Immortal excellence,'' she managed to say before continuing with, ''Xueyao has been bullying us for a long time now. She hates it so much that we are stronger dragons than her and has started her rebellion. Today,'' her voice then cracked into a hypocritical sob as she turned to cast a mischievous pay back glare at Xueyao. ''When we finally had the courage to fight back, she created those flying arrows to attack us! If it weren't for you, Her excellency, I and my friends would have been murdered by her arrows. Please save us from her wickedness, please, Your Grace.''
Qing Yue's gaze left Lan Meiyun to stare angrily at Xueyao who has been framed by the three again. Her lips parted in horror at her twisted lies and accusations against her.
Xueyao waited to be given a chance by the white dragon to defend herself but was disappointed when the White Dragon believed them and conjured up what appeared to be a ghostly, white fire in her left hand.
''Bullying your friends is a sin, Xueyao.''
Lan Meiyun nodded mockingly at Xueyao.
''The only reason I allowed you here was because I believed you could convince the immortal black dragon to save us all from extinction. But it looks like you are much more crooked than I imagined. Trapping your friends here and turning this sacred grounds into a place where you could bully and torture dragons is unacceptable.''
Xueyao watched as the White Dragon's ghostly, pure white fire came charging towards her at an indescribable force.
The immortal black dragon manifested shortly before she would get hit and rebuked it with a single outstretch of his right hand. The clash of power flung the three nightmares several feet away while the White Dragon stumbled back a few distances, using all her strength to keep herself rooted and grounded no matter what.
When it all died down, Qing Yue looked up at the unexpected intervention of her Master.
''Master?''
Qing Yue's eyes widened in surprise to see that he was willing to come out of that cave he had been hiding in for so long.
''I thought you all wanted me to save the world but how can I do that if you all want to kill my tribulation guardian.'' He said, gaze locked on all who threatened to take her life.
Xueyao stared as he stood protectively before her.
''If the weakest doesn't even feel safe in the world I am being hunted with to save,'' he continued in a strong voice. ''Then I could just protect the weakest and leave the strongest to save themselves.'' He said threateningly as his eyes darkened on the three nuisance who lay side by side injured and scared to death at the sight of him.
''Master…'' Qing Yue began in a soft tone. ''You are willing to save us?''
The silence after her question was the longest ever.
''I want to but now I am feeling very discouraged.''
Qing Yue panicked and thought of what to say next.
''She told me you were all good dragons worthy of being stared back at one last time before I made up my mind to abandon you all forever.''
''But witnessing how diabolical and twisted some of you are,'' he said, terrifying the three nightmares further with his burning look. They figured he must have witnessed how they were the first to attack Xueyao. ''I have decided to save only her and watch the rest of you die.''
Qing Yue and the rest of the blue dragon's heart stuttered when the black dragon turned their backs on them. Xueyao watched as his hands gently wrapped around her soft ones and began to lead her away from them.
''Forgive us, Immortal black dragon!!!!'' Lan Meiyun cried out as the three began to tremble and confess that they were at fault, making the female white dragon appear much more foolish before him for judging blindly.
But their pleas and cries were all meaningless to him now. He had seen what he wanted to see.
They were not really worth saving even if he had a change of heart to have mercy on them at the last minute.
She was the only one deserving of him and…
He paused when she suddenly stopped walking and freed her hands from his grasp. He turned to look and see what the problem was.
Saving her alone doesn't prevent Sheng Chong from being killed under the crushing weight of the falling foundations of the immortal realm.
''No, you are saving everyone.'' She insisted and he wanted so badly to understand her logic. He stood before her with that signature haunting cold gaze of his and said.
''Including those three pestilence that tried to take your life?'' He challenged as the wind of the undying realm blew gently around them.
Xueyao hands balled tightly beside her as she turned to gaze at Lan Meiyun and the other two nightmares staring back at her with a tearful gaze to have mercy. Her eyes went to the domineering presence of the female white dragon who also silently threatened her not to be selfish.
Xueyao sighed softly before meeting with the ever burning gaze of her black dragon who doesn't want her to be the hero he could tell they were forcing her to be.
''Don't ever be scared to speak your mind when I'm with you.'' He encouraged softly which was a stark contrast to the hard look he gave her.
Xueyao figured she does not have any choice if she ever wants to see Sheng Chong alive again.
''Yes, save them. And everyone else. Please.''
The immortal black dragon was greatly disappointed in her but if saving the world was truly what she wanted.
''Alright.''
Qing Yue was the first to respond as her lips slowly eased into a smile of both gratitude and relief. But his girl didn't display that level of happiness he thought she would.
Which only made him begin to doubt if this was what she had always wanted from the start or there was more to her story.
''I will save everyone including you.''
