Chapter 53: Summoning Shenron

"A gravity chamber?"

At Bulma's house, after hearing Goku's purpose, Bulma's first thought wasn't whether gravity chambers might harm Goku's training. Instead, she wondered if she could actually build one.

As a genius girl, after ending her adventure with Goku, Bulma had been helping her father while beginning to participate in high-tech research. Of course she felt enthusiastic about these new scientific concepts.

After considering briefly, Bulma shook her head. Seeing Goku's disappointment, she immediately explained: "It's not that I can't make one—I'm just lacking certain materials. Current Earth materials don't have sufficient structural strength."

Goku scratched his head, somewhat confused.

Seeing this, Bulma—who'd wanted to explain further—had to give up.

"What if we had an alien spaceship?"

At this moment, Turles offered a suggestion.

Hearing this, Bulma glanced at Turles. Regarding Goku's clansman, due to their earlier awkward incident, Bulma had been avoiding Turles's gaze. Her earlier conversation had mainly been with Goku. She hadn't expected Turles to suddenly speak up.

Unlike Goku's innocence, Turles appeared more mature and steady. Especially that confidence on Turles's face made him more charismatic.

Looking at that face identical to Goku's, somehow Bulma suddenly recalled herself hugging Turles earlier. Her face immediately felt somewhat heated.

Seeing Bulma just staring at him without responding, Turles felt puzzled, asking: "What—is that not possible?"

"They look the same, his skin is just darker." Bulma suddenly muttered quietly.

"What..." Turles was speechless.

Bulma also realized what she'd just said. Her face immediately flushed red. After giving Turles an embarrassed smile, she immediately changed topics, asking: "You said you have a spaceship?"

Before Turles could answer, Bulma slapped her forehead, annoyed: "How foolish of me! Since you're an alien, you obviously arrived on Earth by spaceship."

"No—not my ship. The spaceship Goku rode as a child."

Hearing this, Turles quickly explained. His current ship wasn't his—it belonged to the Mercenary Union. Plus, he still counted on returning with it. How could he let Bulma dismantle it? Though letting her study it seemed acceptable. Perhaps she could research something useful.

Regarding Bulma's genius intellect, Turles held considerable trust.

"Goku's ship?" Bulma asked questioningly.

"My ship?" Goku was also stunned, then immediately reacted. He was about to stand—fortunately Turles stopped him.

Seeing Goku's matter was resolved, Turles immediately stated his request to borrow the Dragon Radar.

Bulma agreed immediately. Moreover, she proposed going together to find the Dragon Balls. She somewhat missed those days adventuring with companions.

However, thinking of this, Bulma recalled Yamcha—that playboy. Having herself, this beautiful girl, yet still flirting everywhere. She was furious! Thinking this, Bulma sneakily glanced at both Turles and Goku.

She never imagined that after three years, Goku would suddenly grow so tall. She'd thought Goku would stay short like Krillin forever. Never expected Goku to become so handsome after growing up. Plus, he had an identical clansman.

However, Turles shattered her expectations. After borrowing the Dragon Radar, Turles's body directly took flight, flying toward the Dragon Ball location marked on the radar.

Watching the departing Turles, Bulma's mouth hung open in shock for a long time. Not until Goku called her did she recover.

"He, he, he..." Bulma pointed at Turles's distant figure, face full of disbelief.

Goku didn't understand what Bulma found shocking, looking at her puzzled.

"Turles can actually fly! Isn't that Tien and Chiaotzu's ability?" Somehow Bulma suddenly felt somewhat excited.

"Hm?" Goku found Bulma's reaction somewhat strange, matter-of-factly saying: "Bukujutsu? I know it too! Just not very proficient yet!"

Finishing, Goku's feet slowly left the ground, wobbling as he floated midair.

Bulma was dumbfounded. The next second, she grabbed Goku's clothing, directly pulling him from midair, loudly shouting: "You idiot! How many things haven't you told me?!"

Goku—already unproficient with Bukujutsu—nearly fell after Bulma pulled him down. After steadying himself, he complained: "Bulma, what are you doing?!"

But after Bulma shouted at him, Goku didn't dare say more. After internally muttering "women are so troublesome," he explained everything about his three years training at the Lookout and all matters concerning Turles.

After listening, Bulma felt somewhat emotional.

Bulma felt she was truly defeated by Goku's innocence. Never expected that after three years, though his body had grown taller, Goku remained as unreliable as when he was small.

However, her lips curved slightly upward.

Meanwhile, Turles naturally didn't know he'd inadvertently shown off before Bulma. Currently, he'd already collected six Dragon Balls, flying toward the final one's location.

Looking at the Dragon Radar in hand, Turles discovered this Dragon Ball's position seemed to be in the ocean. This made things somewhat difficult.

However, thinking he could soon use the Dragon Balls to summon Shenron and fulfill wishes, Turles felt heated internally. He increased his speed again.

WHOOSH!

Speed directly broke the sound barrier. Turles left a white trail in the air, his figure quickly vanishing.

Soon, a small island appeared in Turles's vision. The Dragon Radar showed the final Dragon Ball was on this island. Turles's eyes immediately brightened.

Landing on the island, Turles discovered this island was precisely where he'd earlier sensed several of Earth's powerful aura signatures. Then he understood.

"Seems the final Dragon Ball is with Master Roshi." Turles somewhat realized, muttering to himself.

At this moment, from the island house emerged an old man wearing a floral shirt with a turtle shell on his back—precisely Master Roshi.

Seeing the sky-descending Turles, Master Roshi's expression showed some gravity. Because he discovered he couldn't sense this person's aura at all.

But since he could fly and had suddenly appeared on his small island in the vast ocean's middle, he definitely wasn't ordinary. Plus, this morning's sensed aura—Roshi had guesses.

Suddenly, Roshi noticed the tail wrapped around Turles's waist. His expression immediately relaxed, showing a lecherous smile: "Oh, it's Goku! What brings you here?"

Though Turles had developed immunity to being mistaken, he still couldn't help internally complaining. However, current business was urgent. He explained: "Hello, sir. I'm not Goku. I'm called Turles—Goku's friend. I came here seeking Dragon Balls."

Finishing, he produced the Dragon Radar for Roshi to see.

Hearing Turles's explanation, though somewhat confused, Roshi still brought out the Dragon Ball.

This was the Five-Star Ball. Perhaps because all seven Dragon Balls were near, the Five-Star Ball began flickering, emanating orange light.

Seeing the Dragon Ball obtained, Turles initially wanted leaving. But reconsidering, he still told Roshi: "Goku's currently at Bulma's house in West City. If you want seeing him, you can find him there!"

Finishing, without waiting for Roshi's response, Turles shot skyward, flying toward Bulma's home direction.

"Turles, hm?"

Watching the departing Turles, Roshi muttered quietly. The next second, he thought of something, once again showing his lecherous smile.

"Heh heh heh!"

---

Soon, Turles returned to Bulma's house carrying all seven Dragon Balls.

He saw Bulma currently wearing a gossip-watching expression, excitedly watching Raditz discipline Goku.

Turles immediately guessed the circumstances. Shaking his head, he slowly descended.

Seeing Turles return, Bulma couldn't care about watching Goku's embarrassment anymore. She immediately approached Turles, asking: "You collected the Dragon Balls so quickly?"

Speaking, she took the bundle from Turles's hands. Opening it, she indeed saw seven Dragon Balls.

Raditz also stopped disciplining his brother, hurriedly approaching. With curious expression, he looked at the seven continuously flickering orange-glowing orbs on the ground, each containing different numbers of red stars.

After arranging the seven Dragon Balls, Bulma excitedly said: "Let me! Let me! I'll summon Shenron!"

Finishing, she stepped back, loudly shouting at the Dragon Balls: "Come forth, Shenron! Grant my wish!"
