Chapter 70 - Odin's Made-Up Story

The golden light of the Bifrost Bridge bloomed again.

Loki stopped, looking over with confusion.

Heimdall... wasn't he frozen after he dismissed him from his post?

Who was descending to Midgard now?

Could it be mother?

After thinking for a moment, Loki put away Gungnir and stood still.

However, emerging from the golden light was not Frigga, but a one-eyed old man with white hair, fully armored, riding a tall horse.

Odin!

"Father!"

Thor and Loki simultaneously changed expressions and bowed their heads.

"All-Father!"

Sif and the others exchanged glances, their faces showing joy.

"Father, you're awake? I'm truly overjoyed."

Loki quickly stepped forward, instantly switching from his previous cold and fierce demeanor to a warm and amiable one, looking at Odin with a beaming smile. He seemed very happy that Odin had awakened.

"Father, look, I am currently instructing Thor and his friends in the name of the acting King. It's wonderful that you've arrived now, as I sometimes feel I am still a bit immature."

Odin did not speak. His sole remaining eye swept over Loki, Sif, and the others.

Then it swept over Thor, a hint of helplessness flashing in his gaze.

Finally, he focused on Aaron.

Aaron, at this moment, became uncharacteristically serious. It wasn't that he feared Odin, but merely out of the respect due to a King.

Even if Odin was skilled in external warfare but unskilled in raising children, it was undeniable that the Odin of the past was a powerhouse who shook the Nine Realms and even the entire Universe.

He was old, even nearing the end of his life, but at this moment, he was also the most terrifying.

"God Among Men of Midgard, God of Thunder, Lord of the Crystal Palace Pantheon, Celestial, it is an honor to meet you here."

Odin ignored Loki's almost fawning posture, his eyes were only on Aaron.

When he spoke these words, he had undoubtedly acknowledged Aaron's identity as the God of Midgard.

Loki's face was very awkward, and the words he had intended to say were swallowed back down.

"King of the gods Odin, I am also very pleased to meet you."

One doesn't hit a smiling face. Since Odin was so polite, Aaron returned the courtesy.

"I didn't expect that after so many years without descending to Midgard, a figure like you would have already emerged here. Indeed, I am old."

Odin dismounted from his divine steed, looked at Thor, and sighed to himself.

Ever since mjolnir split into three, Odin had been secretly observing everything. Through Heimdall, he had learned many things.

For example, he knew that Aaron was the king of a 'company' in Midgard, and he knew his name and age. He also knew that Aaron possessed the ability to reorganize matter and mass-produce mjolnir and even Thor's Power.

At that instant, he was horrified to discover that Aaron's unbelievable ability was not about dividing Thor's authority, but about creating an equivalent Thor's Power.

The power on mjolnir was not an enchantment from him, but belonged to Thor's Origin power itself.

Theoretically, even if someone gained mjolnir's recognition and obtained Thor's Power, this part of the power still belonged to Thor, it was merely borrowing this power.

Mjolnir only allowed Thor to better control his Origin power. Once he truly awakened, even if mjolnir was in someone else's hands, Thor would not lose his power. Instead, two Thors would simultaneously emerge. But the power would all belong to Thor.

However, Aaron had forcefully broken this rule. Whether it was the Thor's Power of the golden hammer or the silver hammer, it was the hammer itself, and not from Thor.

The power that Loki and Thor briefly held just now was an identical yet distinctly different Thor's Power.

He couldn't understand it, he couldn't see through it at all.

Originally, Odin wanted to observe further. But alas... Thor was truly useless.

"Thor, you are fifteen hundred years old, aren't you?" Odin sighed again.

Thor nodded in confusion.

Loki, standing nearby, looked at Aaron, twitched the corner of his lips, and instantly understood the profound meaning contained in that long sigh.

Come to think of it, he was also over a thousand years old.

Odin shook his head, so stupid and dull, was this really his own kind?

He remembered that person, who had fought with him across the Nine Realms at just a few decades old, earned the name of Death, and skillfully mastered their power.

And Aaron, at the age of twenty-two, was toying with Thor and Loki in the palm of his hand.

Why was the gap between a God (Thor) and a human (Aaron) even greater than between a God and an ant?

"God of Midgard, I have a question for you."

"Speak."

Aaron saw Odin's somewhat strange attitude and vaguely caught the other party's thoughts.

"Who are your parents?" Odin's eyes burst with light, he sensed a familiar fluctuation from Aaron.

That was the Divine Might of the Celestials, but at the same time, it also contained the long-standing power of his Asgardian royal Bloodline.

He had a terrifying thought.

Had his father, Bor, at some point when the Queen was absent, had a brief yet beautiful, but regrettable, memory with an unknown Celestial?

Recalling the enormous bodies of the Celestials, Odin's heart tightened slightly. He had underestimated his father too much. That slender body could actually 'hit' such an existence.

A toothpick stirring a large vat? He couldn't help but sigh again.

As for why Aaron was only twenty-two? This question was not incredible for a God.

For their long lives, which could span hundreds of millions of years, a few thousand years of gestation was simply too short.

Perhaps, this was also why Aaron, after being born, did not possess the complete Celestial power?

It was indeed so.

Aaron shook his head and laughed, saying, "Don't overthink it. Although I've never met my parents, I can confirm that they are ordinary people."

However, Odin nodded understandingly. "I understand, I can very well understand your thoughts. Actually... they didn't do it on purpose, and they had it very hard."

Bor not only had to face the daily demands of the Queen but also lead Asgardian soldiers to conquer the Nine Realms, especially the ambitious Dark Elves.

As for the Celestials... their tasks were even more arduous, needing to create light and brightness everywhere, bringing hope to the world.

Moreover, this was destined to be a 'one-night couple' that could not be blessed by others.

This perfectly explained why Aaron had never had any trace of life on Earth before, because he was not a true Earthling, but a Celestial, a Norse God with Asgardian royal bloodline and possessing the potential to become a King.

His skilled material reorganization and his mastery of the Asgardian power all proved this point.

No need for further explanation,

He completely understood.

Watching Odin instantly conjure up a past in his mind, Aaron couldn't help but have black lines on his forehead.

No, you old geezer, you're very bad, what exactly are you thinking?

"Alright, I am an earthling. I don't have Celestial parents. Everything I have today is entirely due to my own efforts."

Aaron emphasized again, but a thought he couldn't explain lingered in his mind.

Odin nodded. "Alright, let's not talk about this anymore. Perhaps we can gather in Asgard. That is..."

... your home.

Odin did not say it aloud, fearing he would hurt Aaron's self-esteem.

This child was too pitiful, abandoned immediately after birth. No one among the Celestials cared about this anomaly, and Bor had already died, likely unaware of Aaron's existence.

As the son of Bor, Odin felt he needed to properly compensate Aaron on Bor's behalf before his own passing.

It was truly difficult.
