Chapter 179 - Magneto's Loss

At this moment.

Aaron suddenly felt another unfamiliar Psychic Power.

The owner of this power sensed Aaron's consciousness and actively tried to probe it. But with a slight exertion of force, Aaron crushed this power.

"Hmm? It's Charles."

"Hiss... It's Aaron."

Far away at the Mutant Academy, Charles opened his eyes, his expression grave.

When he touched Aaron's Psychic Power, from his perspective, that power was like an unmovable mountain range, an endless ocean. While his own was merely a somewhat wide lake or river.

There was an insurmountable chasm between the two.

Charles even suspected that even with Brainwave Enhancer, he would not be Aaron's match.

Are you omni-man? How can you have every ability? Do you even want us Mutants to live?

Being defeated in his most proficient domain, Charles felt both surprised and frustrated.

However, he quickly regained his spirits, spreading his Psychic Power to control Sabretooth.

Sabretooth pounced, pinning Erik beneath him.

Sharp bone claws pressed against Erik's neck.

"Erik, stop, you have nowhere to run."

Erik was initially furious at the smelly guy pinning him down, but upon hearing that tone, he immediately relaxed.

The corner of his lips unconsciously curved up. "Charles, you idiot. You want to stop me? Do you know what you've done?"

"I know what I've done, but do you know what you've done?"

"You are dragging Mutants into the abyss." The two spoke in unison, then both paused.

At this moment, Aaron walked over with Hela. "I didn't expect you two to have such good chemistry."

"Who has chemistry with him!" X2

Erik couldn't keep his composure. "Charles, shut up!"

"Now get up, I want to talk to Aaron!"

Sabretooth's face was stern. "Erik, shut up! I'm going to throw you in prison until the Mutant World is peaceful."

Erik: ???

Alright, you're basically sentencing me to life imprisonment.

"Mr. Aaron, you've seen my power. This isn't my limit. If I wanted to, I could turn this entire street into ruins in a few seconds."

"Instead of cooperating with Charles, why don't we unite and become the overlords of the new world?"

Upon hearing the word 'overlord', Hela seemed to have a special switch activated, and she was no longer sleepy.

Seeing this, Erik thought there was a chance and quickly said, "You have money and wisdom, and I have power and manpower. If we cooperate, we will be invincible."

Charles scoffed at this, 'Is that all?'

He used Sabretooth's scruffy, dull face to disdainfully glance at Erik pinned beneath him.

"Mr. Aaron, are Anna and Kitty doing well? Is Clarice bothering you? Can Jean adapt to her current life?"

This seemingly nonsensical statement contained a massive amount of information.

Old friend, I've already gone all in, giving everyone to Aaron. What do you have to fight me with?

Erik, as if telepathically connected, had this image flash through his mind.

His face instantly darkened.

Charles, you actually gave away so many Mutant compatriots just to win over humans.

You've changed, become unfamiliar, degenerated into a madam.

How disgusting!

As one of the two Mutant Kings, I feel ashamed to be associated with you.

Mystique flashed through Eric's mind, and then he shook his head repeatedly.

That woman and he were just partners. He couldn't make the decision to have her win over Aaron.

What a pity.

If Mystique had agreed, she alone would have been worth all the other women.

While Erik pondered, he subtly manipulated nearby metal particles, ready to give Sabretooth a heart-digging attack.

However, just as he was about to make a move, he suddenly felt another power, like a divine descent, easily crushing his ability.

"What's going on?"

Erik was greatly alarmed, it was the first time he had encountered such a thing.

"Charles, something's happening!"

"There's a third party secretly lurking here. They also seem to possess the power to control metal."

Charles was shocked to hear this, sweeping his Psychic Power around but finding no one else.

"No need to search, it's me." Aaron said, exasperated.

Even though he was such a large person standing right there, Erik and Charles acted as if they didn't see him.

Is this true love?

Once they meet, their eyes can't hold a third person.

"You?" Erik's face was full of disbelief.

Charles paused for a moment, subconsciously thinking it impossible. But then he thought of the abilities Aaron had displayed and no longer found it strange.

First, a sun, then Psychic Power, and now magnetism, it didn't seem so hard to accept.

Charles looked indifferent on the surface, but his heart was drooling with envy.

Aaron crooked his finger, and Erik's helmet was about to fly off.

Seeing this, Erik quickly used his ability to try and keep it.

Without his helmet, all his thoughts would be exposed to Charles. He would have no secrets whatsoever.

But how could Aaron's Telekinesis compare to Erik's current level?

Even Erik, empowered by Apocalypse to move the Earth's magnetic field, would be helpless before him.

He was like a strong man bullying a three-year-old child, forcibly snatching the helmet in an instant and then melting it.

[Psychic Immunity: Similar ability detected and fused. Regardless of any form, you will be perfectly immune to psychic abilities and your emotional changes will not be spied upon by anyone.]

Aaron then obtained some body tissue from Erik and Sabretooth, but there was no change after melting it.

Erik was already dumbfounded.

"It really is you."

"Is there a problem?" Aaron looked down indifferently.

It's not just a problem, it's a huge problem.

Could it be that you are God himself?

Stripped of his helmet, Erik was controlled by Charles and escorted into a vacant room belonging to Aaron Industries.

"That's the situation."

With Charles's help, Erik fully revealed his plan.

"I came to you because I wanted to take Anna and the briefcase containing Mutant data."

"Everything I do is for the Mutants."

Erik said this aloud, but his mind was still communicating with Charles telepathically.

Charles: "Eric, so your original goal wasn't Logan, but Rogue."

Eric: "Logan? Who's that? Oh, the idiot who stopped my plan. Next time I'll have a good play with him."

"Let's talk about something else first, Charles. Look at the stupid things you've done. Don't you know how powerful Aaron's technology in biological genetics is? If he possesses a large amount of Mutant genes, he could very likely create a Mutant virus specifically targeting the X-gene."

"Or selectively kill all of us, or perhaps develop special ingredients that inhibit abilities, and put them in our daily necessities or food, which would make Mutants an endangered species."

"As a biological geneticist, don't you understand this principle?"

Charles: "Erik, if Mr. Aaron wanted to target Mutants, he wouldn't need to go to so much trouble. He just needs to speak, and both the Brotherhood of Mutants and the Mutant Academy would be destroyed by a large army the next day."

"He is more powerful than you and I imagined. He might be the most powerful superhuman on Earth. Do you still dare to come knocking to see death?"

Erik: "...I didn't know."

"Well, now you do."

Erik and Charles bickered in their minds, while Sabretooth was bound by iron chains.

Hela, standing by, yawned boredly, "These two are too weak. Is there no stronger character among the Mutants?"

Erik glared. 'How dare she say I'm weak!'

I can't beat Aaron, but can't I beat you?

Hela noticed his expression, and a non-iron longsword appeared in her hand.

"Do you have an opinion?"

"Of course I..."

Erik was about to speak when Charles quickly said, "She is Hela, the goddess of death. The one from Norse mythology. Her father is Odin, and her brothers are Thor and the Loki. She once conquered eight powerful God civilizations with Odin."

Hearing this, Erik's words changed as he forced a smile. "Of course I have no opinion."

You're strong, so you're right. Even if I have an opinion, I can't express it.

Although Erik usually considered himself a god, facing a true deity, and a goddess of death at that, he chickened out.

If it were Thor, Erik would have made him try, 'Earth cannot be insulted.'

But Hela is the goddess of death...

Lord, little Erik greets you.

Because of one sentence, if she became unhappy and merely crooked her finger, what if she took his life?

That would be a terrible loss.

Aaron thought for a moment and said, "There are a few decent opponents among the Mutants."

Hela immediately became interested. "Who? I'll go test their strength."

"For example... Apocalypse."

"He should be sleeping somewhere in Egypt right now."

"Sleeping? I'll wake him up right now."

Hela rose to leave, but after two steps, she suddenly turned back. "Where is Egypt?"

"…"

"Alright, I heard Earth has some kind of transportation like airplanes. I think I can try it?" Hela looked at Aaron, seeking his opinion.

Although Asgard had the more efficient Bifrost Bridge, this generation's God of Guardianship held a grudge against Hela for challenging Odin and Aaron one after another. It couldn't be said that there was no friendship between them, it was more like they were enemies.

Using the Bifrost Bridge for Hela? That was impossible.
