Chapter 180 - God of Mutants and Inhumans

"Apocalypse? Is there such a character among Mutants?" Erik's attention turned.

According to Aaron and Hela, he, the magnificent Magneto, was only considered an elite monster.

So who was qualified to be a boss?

Jean?

And now Apocalypse?

Hmph, Apocalypse, whom he had never heard of, wanted to be the boss? He, Magneto, would be the first to object.

Aaron glanced at Erik. "Are you two done with your whispering?"

While Erik was puzzled, Charles took control of his body. "Sorry, Mr. Aaron, I was just reasoning with him."

"Reasoning? Isn't this reasoning?"

Aaron raised his fist and waved it. "Besides this, what else counts as reasoning?"

Hela's eyes lit up, and she clapped her hands emphatically. "Uncle, you are absolutely right. I find myself liking you more and more. You truly are my mas… man."

Isn't reasoning just about fists?

Hela understood this deeply.

When Asgard became the overlord of the Nine Realms, maintaining order for thousands of years, was it because they reasoned verbally and subdued people with virtue?

Of course not.

It was all fought for with swords and shields.

Later, in the clash of ideologies, Hela simply wasn't strong enough, so she couldn't out-reason Odin and was sealed for a thousand years. She was even erased from existence and glory, becoming an invisible person, a taboo, in Asgard.

If she had been the victor back then, would Thor and Loki even exist now?

"Uncle? Man?"

Charles and Erik were simultaneously astonished in their minds.

Were the gods playing such games now?

If they didn't know, they would think they were Greek gods, not Norse ones.

Aaron ignored the two who were thinking astray, he disdained to explain.

"I'm too lazy to waste words with you. Bring me that… Mutant Conversion Machine of yours."

A machine capable of activating the X-gene sounded pretty good. But it was destined to be a failure, not as successful as Erik imagined.

But if he could smelt it, could he remove its flaws and extract only its useful properties?

Erik instinctively wanted to refuse, but Charles immediately spoke, "No problem, I'll have someone bring it to you right now."

Erik hadn't expected his old friend to betray him like this.

They had met first!

"Enough, Erik, this is my show now, and everything goes by my word." Charles spoke with an undeniable tone, as if he were the true owner of the body.

Erik seethed inwardly, 'This is my body, you thief, get out.'

In the past, Charles wouldn't have so forcefully taken over Erik's body. But now, he was facing Aaron.

Any request from this lord had to be fulfilled as much as possible. Otherwise, it could lead to a full-scale attack on all humanity.

Hela paid no attention to Erik and Charles. Her gaze was fixed on Aaron.

If there weren't others present, she would surely make Aaron experience the ultimate "ecstasy."

Aaron said, "Alright, once the Mutant Conversion Machine arrives, I'll take you to Egypt. Without me, even if I gave you an airplane, you'd be lost in Egypt."

The abilities of Mutants, strictly speaking, were not of Earth origin. There were bound to be many characteristics and even concepts among them that could bring him improvement.

He naturally wouldn't let go of Apocalypse, this special being hailed as the first Mutant.

Hela was overjoyed at the news.

Erik was also quite interested in this. In his entire life, besides Sebastian Shaw, only Aaron had made him feel so humiliated.

He wanted to see what capabilities this Mutant, whom Aaron considered a boss, possessed.

Aaron let Erik go, allowing Charles to control him to bring the item.

Charles was clearly in a hurry. It was his first time using Erik's body to control magnetism for flight or move freely. This feeling was quite extraordinary for him.

Erik was still bickering with Charles in his mind. But his body was very obedient, cooperatively controlling the Mutant Conversion Machine to fly towards New York.

An hour later.

The two carried the room-sized apparatus as if no one else existed, walking through the bustling city to the gates of Aaron Industries.

S.H.I.E.L.D. agents led by Coulson surrounded them.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. business! Magneto, what are you doing at Aaron Industries?"

Coulson and the others were secretly vigilant.

When Fury learned that Magneto was brazenly bringing people to Aaron Industries, he immediately dispatched Coulson with plastic bullet-equipped weapons to help out.

"All of you, get out of our way. This is something Mr. Aaron specifically requested. Are you trying to stop me?" Erik showed no respect to these people.

He, Magneto, was a man of prestige.

As soon as Coulson and the others heard this, they were stunned.

You're a villain, what right do you have to speak to a righteous government department like that?

It's utterly outrageous.

What? You're working for Aaron? Oh, never mind then.

Coulson, in a daze, waved his hand, signaling his subordinates to clear a path.

He watched Erik haughtily carry the item into the underground garage.

"Sir?"

A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent looked at Magneto's back, eager to act.

"Don't mess around, that's Aaron." Coulson shook his head.

Just one word from him had scared Fury so much that he hadn't slept well for many days, busy off his feet.

How could he, Coulson, possibly provoke him? Was he tired of living?

"Charles, I never thought that one day I would be able to openly dismiss an army and have them obediently make way for me."

Erik had to admit, he was starting to like this feeling of borrowing power and bullying others. And the other party was a group of seemingly extraordinary secret agents.

He suddenly wondered if he had made a mistake.

Just by working for Aaron, he could wield such authority.

If he could also possess Aaron's power, wouldn't he be able to make these guys scram with just one word?

"Don't think too much. Aaron is a miracle. In all these years in this world, he's the only one who has appeared." Charles sighed.

Erik, have you finally realized Aaron's terror?

Not only are we not as strong as him, but our influence isn't as great either.

"Erik, times have changed. Now, to get by, being a good fighter is useless. It's about influence and background."

"The reason we Mutants have such a hard time... isn't it because we lack background?"

Charles shook his head, suddenly finding his original ideas ridiculous.

Even with all his painstaking efforts and the many things he did for Mutants, it wasn't as effective as a single word from Aaron.

Erik thought for a moment, compared himself to Aaron, and then felt a headache.

"I'm not thinking about it anymore, it's too annoying."

"He's simply a monster."

The more Erik understood Aaron, the more he could grasp his terror.

Why was the gap between them so immense?

After the item was delivered, Aaron dismissed Norman's secretary.

"Tell Coulson and his people not to get in the way, and to leave immediately. Their help isn't needed here."

After Erik left, Coulson politely called Aaron to inquire. However, Aaron had no time to waste words with a group of grown men.

After Erik returned, he went to the underground garage alone and smelted the Mutant Conversion Machine.

[Gene Activation: Similar ability detected and fused. You can activate any species possessing an X-gene or Inhumans gene, causing their genes to be overtly expressed, thereby randomly acquiring genetic abilities. There is a certain probability of causing Mutants to undergo secondary mutation.]

[Gene Detection: You can detect whether a living organism contains an X-gene or Inhumans gene.]

'Once I smelt Apocalypse, I will be the God of Inhumans and Mutants.' Aaron thought to himself.
