Chapter 183 - News From the Ancient One

Aaron said, "Clarice, Kitty, Anna, come over."

Hearing this, the three of them quickly appeared before him.

A ball of energy appeared in Aaron's hand, which he injected into the three women one by one.

In an instant, this power of his wildly enhanced the three women's X-Genes, making them tend toward perfection and further unlocking the potential of their Mutant abilities.

"My ability seems to have gotten stronger?" Clarice subconsciously touched her forehead, feeling something appear there.

Those were two purple marks, a manifestation of her increased strength.

Clarice raised her hand to open a portal. One after another, she effortlessly created seven or eight portals simultaneously.

Clarice herself was surprised by the abilities she displayed.

In the past, when she generated a portal, she had to close it before she could generate a second one. This meant she could only face attacks from one direction or one enemy at a time at most. Whenever she faced multiple enemies, she would die on the spot if she wasn't careful.

In Days of Future Past, she died due to attacks from two Sentinel Robots for this very reason.

But now, she could generate multiple portals at will, greatly increasing her combat power.

As for Kitty and Anna, they felt that their abilities seemed to have improved, but they didn't know the specific manifestation of this improvement. This would require further practice for them to master.

However, they could be sure that they had gained a lot.

Aaron then called Hela over, "Come here, I'll enhance your abilities."

Hela said in confusion, "I'm not a Mutant."

"Are you sure you don't want to try? Then forget it?" Aaron said with a playful smile.

Seeing that Aaron didn't seem to be joking, Hela's sixth sense told her that if she missed this opportunity, she would regret it for the rest of her life.

"Wait, maybe I should try it after all?" Hela moved closer.

Aaron placed his hand on her, using [Energy Enhancement] to infuse a portion of the excess energy into Hela's body.

In an instant, this energy rapidly strengthened Hela's body, greatly increasing her strength, defense, and vitality.

Hela's energy also nearly doubled.

"Is this the God King's blessing?" Hela was stunned.

Aaron's move saved her at least a hundred years of effort.

"No, this is my blessing."

Aaron withdrew his hand. There was still a lot of overflowing energy, but there was no rush. Over-nurturing is not a good thing.

Only Aaron could do this. If it were Apocalypse, he wouldn't be able to. The reason he only had four Horsemen of Apocalypse each time he revived was not that he didn't want to strengthen more people, but simply that he didn't have enough energy to go around.

But Aaron was different. As long as he was willing, multiplying the number by ten thousand would not be a problem.

Just then, Aaron noticed a call from Ancient One.

His heart stirred, did she have news?

"The situation has changed, I will be leaving Earth for a while. Hela, after you return, follow Felicia. She will help you get familiar with the situation on Earth."

"Clarice, Anna, Kitty, your temporary residences have been arranged. Felicia will take you there."

Before leaving, Aaron arranged everything.

Erik then came closer, trying to say something with a fawning expression.

"Dream on, get lost."

Aaron knew without guessing that Erik also wanted to enhance his abilities. He was dreaming beautifully.

Erik wasn't disappointed. He knew this would be the outcome, but how would he know without trying?

Erik asked, "Charles, are you there?"

"I'm here..." Charles's voice was a bit weak.

He was already so old, yet he was still brutally beaten in Apocalypse's mental world.

Young people have no honour, bullying the elderly.

Wait, it seems Apocalypse is the elder?

Then it's fine.

Erik glanced in Aaron's direction and asked, "What do you think of me following Aaron?"

"Hmm?"

"I think he is the future of Mutants."

"Erik, maybe you should get your head checked."

Charles opened Erik's mind to see what was inside.

Erik's expression changed. "What are you doing?"

"...I'm not doing anything."

"You're messing with my brain with your helmet."

"No, absolutely not, I'm not that kind of person."

"You bastard!"

Charles changed the subject, "I heard that some people who followed Aaron gained some extraordinary abilities."

"If you are truly determined, then you must be prepared to kill."

Erik was overjoyed. "There's such a good thing?"

Charles: "..."

He forgot that Erik already disliked ordinary people. Even among his own kind, whoever dared to obstruct his grand plan, had to die.

With his personality, following Aaron would be completely without burden. He would probably even thrive.

"Mr. Miracle, I want to follow you." Erik quickly came closer.

Aaron, who had just finished giving instructions, looked over when he heard this.

"You?"

He sized Erik up and down. "Are you sure?"

Although Magneto's strength was considerably weaker, as a general enforcer, he was barely adequate.

Erik nodded. "I want Mutants to live openly, without worrying about being ambushed on the street."

Recalling the scene when they faced S.H.I.E.L.D. just now, he loved that feeling.

It was great!

Aaron pondered for a moment after hearing this. "Then you will have a lot to do. In this world, there is never a shortage of people coveting extraordinary power."

Erik understood the implied meaning. "No problem, I'm super fast at taking action."

Isn't it just killing people?

Perhaps he wasn't good at strategizing, but when it came to killing, he was absolutely precise. In decades of practice, he only made one mistake, today.

"Good, first do a few things for me. After you pass the probation period, you can apply for the position of Assistant Security Manager at Aaron Industries."

Aaron wasn't interested in dealing with small fries. The Venom Squad's strength was still a bit lacking. Magneto was barely qualified.

Erik was overjoyed.

After realizing the insurmountable gap between himself and Aaron, Erik knew that his inner desires could never be realized.

Even someone as powerful as Apocalypse, who could contend with the goddess of death, what good was it?

Aaron's single punch reduced Apocalypse to ashes. This crushing power made it impossible for anyone to harbor any disloyal thoughts.

Since he couldn't beat him, he would join him.

Bearing Aaron Industries' name, he could also wield its influence.

Aaron snapped his fingers, and several addresses and names appeared on Erik's phone.

"Before I return, I need to see news of their deaths. Any problems?"

Erik glanced at it and nodded. "No problem, I'll take care of it."

Charles, in Erik's mind, watched the two make a deal right in front of him. For a moment, he didn't know what to say.

He was a little worried. What if he choked on water and died that night for knowing too much?

If he wasn't mistaken, one of them was a congressman.

Erik wouldn't escalate things and prematurely ignite a war between ordinary people and Mutants, would he?

No, I need to keep an eye on things, at least to keep them under control.

Charles had already begun to think about how to clean up Erik's mess.

Aaron opened a portal.

He thought of Charles and Apocalypse.

'Later, add mental immunity for all the women. I still need to guard against old foxes like Charles.'

Psychic abilities are powerful, but also very common.

Many Mutants, Eternals, or aliens that pop up from who knows where, more or less have psychic abilities.

Although different people have different psychic powers, just in case, add an anti-peeping buff to everyone.

Aaron didn't want his intimate moments with his girls to be viewed like a movie.

He did what he wanted.

After returning, Aaron successively went to Aaron Industries, his villa, and Barbara's residence, giving all the women mental immunity. He also strengthened their abilities along the way.

Even if he would be away for a few days, there was no need to worry about anything happening.
